FIXTURE FOR USE WITH A MEDICAL DEVICE LABEL PRINTING SYSTEM
Fixtures for use with medical device label printing systems are disclosed. An example fixture may include a housing designed to be coupled to a printing device. The housing may have an input region for receiving a media (e.g., that may include a backing portion and a label portion) and a return region. A separating member may be disposed within the housing. The separating member may be designed for separating the label portion from the backing portion. The separating member may be designed to shift between a first configuration where the separating member engages the media in order to separate the label portion from the backing portion and a second configuration where the separating member is positioned away from engagement with the media. The fixture may also include an actuator for shifting the separating member between the first configuration and the second configuration.
DISCARDING DEFECTIVE LABEL
In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, an apparatus to discard defective label form a labeling machine is provided. The invention includes a label path to move a label web containing a plurality of labels from an origin station to a destination station. The invention then includes an inspection unit to detect the defective labels from the plurality of labels in the label path. The invention also includes a defective label discarding unit configured to discard the defective labels from the label path. The invention further includes, a collecting unit to collect the plurality of defective labels. The invention then includes, a labeling unit configured to label the good label in a required product and a processor to synchronize the label path, the inspection unit, the defective label discarding unit, the collecting unit and the labeling unit.
Self-strip media module
A self-strip media module in a printer is provided. The self-strip media module includes a peel bar having a length at least as great as the length of a platen roller and being rotatably engaged at the ends of the platen roller. The media includes a series of labels adhered to a liner. The media is fed over the peel bar and between the platen roller and a mid-chassis. The peel bar may be rotated towards the discharge side of the platen roller, pulling the media over the platen roller and over itself. A thermal print head is lowered onto the media over the platen roller and to print on the labels. The printer advances the media over the peel bar. The labels are stripped from the liner when the media advances around the peel bar.
Label printer and system for marking a prolate object
A printer for outputting a printed product includes: a print head for printing on a print medium moving in a longitudinal direction, the print medium including a plurality of separate or separable labels detachably arranged on a carrier along the longitudinal direction; and a material interface for outputting the print medium printed by the printer as a printed product, the material interface including a dispensing edge and a support, which deflect the carrier over the dispensing edge and the support downstream of the print head in the longitudinal direction. The dispensing edge is arranged relative to the support in a first position to induce a detaching deflection of the carrier for detaching the respective label. The dispensing edge and the support are arranged in a second position relative to each other to induce an entraining deflection for entraining the respective label on the carrier.
DUAL MODE LABEL PRINTER
A printer that includes a presenter bar, a first tear bar positioned proximate to the presenter bar, and a second tear bar that is configured to move from a first position to a second position is provided. The first position is closer to the first tear bar than the second position.
PEELING DEVICE AND INK JET PRINTER
The peeling device has a pressing roller that comes into contact with a label attaching surface (a first surface) of the backing paper and a driving roller that comes into contact with a back surface of the backing paper. The peeling device includes a peeling plate that is provided on the upstream side of an interposing roller pair in a transport direction of the backing paper when the label is peeled off from the backing paper and that bends a transport path of the backing paper. The pressing roller is a split roller including a roller shaft and a plurality of rollers. The peeling device includes support frames that support the pressing roller, and coil springs that come into contact with the roller shaft in an area on the pressing roller between the support frames and that bias the pressing roller toward the driving roller.
Label printer
A separation unit (10) of a label printer includes a metal nip roller shaft (11), a resin nip roller (12) disposed at a center part of the nip roller shaft and is supported so as to be rotatable around the nip roller shaft, and resin supporters (13) that support both ends of the nip roller shaft. The separation unit (10) is attached to the body case (2) to be relatively movable between the normal ejection position and the separation ejection position. Each of the pair of supporters has a part protruding toward the nip roller, and this part is a roller holder (13d) to insert an end of the nip roller shaft. The roller holder and the supporter are integrally formed for enhanced strength of the supporter.
AN APPARATUS FOR REMOVING A DEFECTIVE LABEL FROM A LABEL SUPPORT TAPE
An apparatus for removing a defective label from a label support tape comprises a return member arranged between a first return roller and a second return roller. The return member comprises a contact portion having a first contact part and a second contact part. The first contact part is shaped as a portion of cylinder arranged eccentric with respect to the rotation axis of the return member and conformed so that when the return member is rotated to arrange a part of the portion of cylindrical surface in contact with the support tape, the labels remain on the support tape. The second contact part comprises two surfaces converging to form a cusp, conformed so that when the return member is activated in rotation to arrange the cusp in contact with the support tape, the non-compliant labels present on the support tape detach from the support tape.
Systems and methods for performing quality assurance of branding of pharmaceutical/medical containers and computer assisted systems and methods for branding pharmaceutical/medical containers
In some embodiments, quality assurance systems for verifying branding of at least one medication container associated with at least one of a prescription and medication order are provided. The systems including: a transport system that transports at least one first container branded with a particular branding among a plurality of bran dings to and from a pharmaceutical and/or medical product dispensing system, and transports the at least one first container to the pharmaceutical and/or medical product dispensing system after correcting the particular branding when correction is performed; a scanning system including at least one scanner for scanning identification information associated with the at least one first container; a display that displays order information associated with the identification information received from the scanning system including information indicating a correct branding for the at least one first container; and a pharmacist station for determining whether the correct branding matches the particular branding and correcting the particular branding if the correct branding does not match the particular branding.
