Virtual And Augmented Reality Personalized and Customized Fitness Training Activity or Game, Methods, Devices, and Systems
A method includes determining a customized action routine for a person to carry out in a virtual world, where the person is wearing a virtual reality (VR) headset. Objects associated with events from the routine are presented to the person in a virtual world via the VR headset; and aspects of the person's virtual interaction with the object in the virtual world are rendered on the VR headset. The person's virtual interactions with virtual objects is analyzed and used to determine, in real time, one or more next events for said routine.

In some embodiments the golf club has a primary alignment feature comprising a paint or masking line which delineates the transition between at least a first portion of the crown having an area of contrasting shade or color and the area of shade or color of the face and the club head also includes a secondary alignment feature including a paint or masking line which delineates the transition between the first portion of the crown having an area of contrasting shade or color with the shade or color of the face; and a second portion of the crown having an area of contrasting shade or color with the shade or color of the first portion.
Swing measurement device, swing measurement method, and swing measurement program
A swing measurement system measures an evaluation index of a swing of a golf club using an inertial sensor. A computer is provided with: a movement trajectory calculation unit for calculating a movement trajectory of the golf club during the swing using a detection value of the inertial sensor; a shaft plane calculation unit for calculating a shaft plane of the swing based on the movement trajectory in a freely selectable section of the swing; and an angle calculation unit for calculating, as the evaluation index, a shaft plane angle formed between the face surface of the golf club and the shaft plane.
SQUASH BALL LAUNCHING MACHINE
An automatic ball launcher includes a ball feed control system that includes a meter wheel with radially-spaced ribs or grooves to selectively block and pass balls to the flywheels of the launcher. The meter wheel rotates to selectively block and release a single ball to pass at a time. The controller of the launcher can be programmed to stop the meter wheel when a ball has been metered by monitoring the current at peak of the motor driving the meter wheel. A meter-event can be determined to have occurred when the current of the drive motor drops to a trough by a pre-set magnitude following a rise to a peak value. A remote control can be provided for the user to operate the launching machine and adjust a plurality of parameters.
Exercise Apparatus
An exercise apparatus for strengthening muscles. The exercise apparatus includes a body having a holding portion that extends between a first distal region and second distal region thereof. The holding portion forms a continuous surface that is curved such that a diameter of the holding portion is narrowest at a proximal point of the holding portion and widest at a first radial edge and an opposing second radial edge. The first and second distal regions are each dome shaped and extend from the first radial edge and the second radial edge, respectively. The holding portion can be received between the inner thighs of a user to add resistance when performing various exercises, such as leg lifts, planks, pull-ups, dips, and the like. In some embodiments, the body includes a weight receiving channel extending therethrough, wherein an elongated weight is positioned within the weight receiving channel.
BENDABLE EXERCISE BAR
An exercise device comprising a bendable pole with spring-like properties. The bendable pole has grips at opposing ends and in a midsection. The exercise device is configured to be used for a variety of exercise methods. The exercise device provides personal fitness tracking in conjunction with a mobile software application.
Swimming speedometer system with near-eye display
An apparatus and method for measuring a swimmer's speed and conveying the speed to the swimmer in real time includes a plurality of ultrasonic beacons each having a transducer configured to emit ultrasonic signals in a pool or other body of water within which the swimmer is swimming. A wearable, waterproof, ultrasonic receiver worn by the swimmer, receives the ultrasonic signals and generates corresponding signal data. The receiver's microcontroller captures and uses the signal data to calculate the swimmer's position and speed in real time, and conveys this information to a wearable, waterproof, user interface device worn by the swimmer, the user interface device including a near-eye display disposed on the swimmer's goggles.
COMPACT BALL LAUNCHING SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
This disclosure relates to a relatively compact smart ball launching system and associated methods for using the same. In various embodiments, the disclosed ball launching system may comprise a collapsible ball hopper that can store a larger number of balls while maintaining a relatively compact size. In certain embodiments, brushless motors may be used to improve power efficiency while allowing for accurate launch speeds and/or spins. In some embodiments, a pre-launch chamber may be included in a ball dispensing mechanism that may facilitate on-demand shots and/or power savings by shutting the ball launching system down when the ball hopper is empty. In further embodiments, the ball launching system may be controlled, at least in part, via a mobile device. In some implementations, the ball launching system may include and/or otherwise interface with a camera system to facilitate improved calibration and/or record user actions.
A System and Method for Providing Tailored Therapy To A User
A system for providing a therapy to a user comprising one or more motion sensors configured to measure motion data during motion of the user, a mobile computing device, connected to or held by the user and connected to the motion sensor to receive motion data, comprising a sensory output device configured to direct the user in the performance of exercises and at least one processor configured to: (a) receive a therapy start signal, (b) receive a baseline user motion level, (c) adjust the sensitivity of the one or more motion sensors according to the baseline user motion level, (d) select an exercise having a difficulty level which matches the baseline user motion level, (e) cause the sensory output device to direct the user to perform the exercise, (f) receive user motion data measured during user performance of the exercise from the one or more motion sensors, (g) use the user motion data to establish a further user motion level, (h) compare the further user motion level with the baseline user motion level, (i) when the further user motion level is equal to or greater than the baseline user motion level, set the baseline user motion level to a higher user motion level and go to (k), (j) when the further user motion level is less than the baseline user motion level, set the baseline user motion level to a lower user motion level and go to (k), (k) when a therapy stop signal is not received, return to (d), (I) when a therapy stop signal is received, record the baseline user motion level and cause the sensory output device to direct the user to stop the therapy the method characterised by the steps of: (m) scanning the mobile computing device to determine the operating system of the mobile computing device, (n) determining whether each of the one or more sensors is an accelerometer sensor, a gyroscope sensor or a global positioning system sensor, (o) scanning the one or more sensors to determine which of the sensors are currently available to measure motion data of the user, and (p) using determinations from steps (m), (n) and (o) to further calibrate the sensitivity of the one or more motion sensors.
