System and process for training a sports swing
11344782 · 2022-05-31 ·

A system and process for training a user's sports swing to maintain arm position and body rotation so as to promote a proper swing arc. The system includes a waist wrap having one or more attachment area on an outer surface. The system also includes one or more training blocks configured for attachment to the attachment area depending upon the type of swing being practices. The process promotes a proper swing arc by indicating incorrect arm position and/or body rotation through excessive contact between the user's arms and the training blocks during the swing. The goal of the system and process is to train a user's muscle memory for the correct arm position and body rotation in a proper swing arc.

A handgrip device has a palm rest operable to engage with a palm of a user, a grip bar moveably coupled with the palm rest and operable to engage with one or more fingers of a user. One or more force transducers can be disposed between the palm rest and the grip bar to measure a compression rate and the return rate of the grip bar relative to the palm rest, and a data connection operable to communicate the compression rate and the return rate.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REAL-TIME DATA QUANTIFICATION, ACQUISITION, ANALYSIS, AND FEEDBACK
20230271058 · 2023-08-31 ·

This disclosure relates to systems, media, and methods for quantifying and monitoring exercise parameters and/or motion parameters, including performing data acquisition, analysis, and providing scientifically valid, clinically relevant, and/or actionable diagnostic feedback. Embodiments may be related to systems, devices, methods, and computer-readable media for providing baseline-adjusted real-time feedback to a user. Embodiments may include determining a type of activity for the user. Embodiment may include receiving data from the one or more motion sensors indicating a time-dependent series of three axis acceleration data and three-axis orientation data. Embodiments additionally may include providing a graphical user interface with a real-time representation of the received data. The real-time representation may include a scaled representation of at least one dimension of the time-dependent series of three axis acceleration data and three-axis orientation data for at least one of the one or more motion sensors based on the updated baseline adjustment.

Golf club

A golf club includes a club head having a volume of greater than about 360 cm.sup.3 and a mass less than 200 g. A shaft attachable to the club head has a tip end, a butt end, and a shaft balance point distance, BP.sub.s, as measured from the butt end, of no more than 19 inches. And the golf club has a mass less than 300 g.

DUAL MOTOR EXERCISE MACHINE

A strength training machine includes a first motor oriented at a first angle relative to a chassis. It further includes a second motor oriented at a second angle relative to the chassis. The first and second angles skew the motors with respect to each other.

Described implementations provide a level for measuring a level of a target surface. The level has a base structure having a bottom surface, a top surface, a rear surface, and a front surface, and a bubble level disposed on the top surface of the base structure. The bottom surface is disposed at (1) a desired slope angle of the target surface along a first axis, and (2) a predetermined pitch angle along a second axis of the base structure, the second axis perpendicular to the first axis. The bubble level is disposed on the top surface along the first axis to indicate a slope level of the target surface relative to the predetermined slope angle and along the second axis to indicate a pitch level of the target surface relative to the predetermined pitch angle. The base structure has a ledge extending in an engagement direction along a third axis.

Golf club

Golf clubs have a primary alignment feature including a paint or masking line which delineates the transition between at least a first portion of the crown having an area of contrasting shade or color with the shade or color of the face. Some have a primary alignment feature including a paint or masking line which delineates the transition between a first portion of the crown having an area of contrasting shade or color and the area of shade or color of the face. A secondary alignment feature includes a paint or masking line that delineates the transition between the first portion of the crown having an area of contrasting shade or color with the shade or color of the face and a second portion of the crown having an area of contrasting shade or color with the shade or color of the first portion.

A tennis ball retriever for retrieving a tennis ball on and about a tennis court and for controllably releasing the ball includes a front-end ball collector having two spaced-apart blades defining a ball collection space. The retriever includes one or more detents for retaining the collected ball in the collection space until a programmed or manually-directed release toward a target location such as a tennis baseline. The retriever includes a processor-controller for controlling and directing the retriever during a retrieval session. The retriever may be remote-controlled such as by voice commands.

Interactive exercise and training system and method

A virtual reality (VR) system comprising a head-mounted display (HMD) and handheld controller set is enhanced to provide a more realistic end user VR experience, e.g., for boxing or other interactive training. In this approach, and in lieu of simply establishing a boundary area for the VR experience, the user also maps a position of a real-world object into a reference frame of the VR environment. This mapping is facilitated using the handheld controller itself, e.g., as positioned in a backwards-facing manner on the user's forearm. The real-world object is then simulated in the 3D VR environment as rendered by the VR HMD, and the user interacts with the real-world object (or its simulation) to provide a more enjoyable and useful interactive experience.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTEGRATING MEASUREMENTS CAPTURED DURING A GOLF SWING

The present embodiments provide systems and methods for aggregating measurements captured by different technologies during a golf swing. By capturing measurements using different technologies, more accurate measurements may be provided to a user by selecting from the measurements, offsetting measurements based on the technologies used, and aligning measurements between devices. Further, by aggregating measurements received from different devices, additional features and functionality may be provided to the user that is absent from any one device used alone. Additionally, by storing the aggregated measurements, users, club fitters and instructors may access and leverage larger databases of measurements to better understand the user's golf swing and to provide better recommendations and instruction to the user.
