A preform is made by mixing cyclic olefin copolymer (COC) and light shielding pigment(s) with PET. The preform is stretch-blow moulded to produce a bottle which may be white and opaque. Light may be restricted from entering the bottle to thereby restrict degradation of the bottle contents from certain wavelengths of visible light.

Bottle capable of mixing powders and liquids

A bottle includes a base, neck that defines an aperture, and a body. The bottle has at least one indent in the body that projects into an interior of the bottle and extends around at least part of a circumference of the body. This at least one indent is configured to agitate a substance contained in the bottle. For example, the bottle may contain a powder, such as protein powder, and the at least one indent helps mix the powder with a liquid. In an example, two indents are used in the bottle.

Injection-molded preform for the production of a plastics container in a blow-molding process, plastics container produced therefrom, and production method for the preform and/or the plastics container

An injection-molded preform is disclosed for production of a plastic container by a blow-molding method with an elongated, tube-like body, which is closed on its one longitudinal end and has a neck section that is provided with a pour opening on its other longitudinal end, which neck section includes an injection molded connection to an injection molded closure part, wherein the closure part includes: a flip-top closure and an annular section with an inner wall, which inner wall rests directly on an outer surface of the neck section and completely encloses an annular area of the outer surface of the neck section.

SMALL CARBONATED BEVERAGE PACKAGING WITH ENHANCED SHELF LIFE PROPERTIES

This disclosure provides new containers, preforms, methods, and designs for small and light-weight carbonated beverage packaging that provide surprisingly improved carbonation retention and greater shelf life, while still achieving light weight. This disclosure is particularly drawn to small PET containers for carbonated beverages, for example less than or about 400 mL, and methods and designs for their fabrication that attain unexpectedly good carbonation retention and shelf life.

INTEGRAL PULP-MOLDED BOTTLE, MOLD FOR MOLDING INTEGRAL PULP-MOLDED BOTTLE, APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING INTEGRAL PULP-MOLDED BOTTLE

A mold for molding an integral pulp-molded bottle shell includes a pulp suction system, an extrusion system, and a hot-press molding system. A process for producing the pulp-molded bottle shell by the mold includes: forming a wet bottle preform in a pulp suction cavity through the pulp suction system; controlling the moisture content and thickness of the wet bottle preform by extrusion of an elastomer bag of the extrusion system; and injecting a pressurized fluid through an elastomer bag in the hot-press molding system, and performing hot-press drying in conjunction with a lower hot-press mold. An apparatus and process for producing a pulp-molded bottle having a plastic liner are provided. The apparatus includes an area for molding a pulp-molded bottle shell, an area for cutting the pulp-molded bottle shell, an area for storing a plastic bottle preform, and an area for performing loading of a liner.

Disclosed is a bottle for containing liquid content including a body portion, at least part or the entire portion of an upper portion of which is provided with a plurality of guides which protrudes inward from an inside surface thereof and is in a spiral pattern so that the liquid content can be guided towards an opening of a neck portion of the bottle while spirally revolving inside the bottle.

Hollow body having a wall with a layer of glass and at least one elevated region

A hollow body includes a wall which at least partially surrounds an interior volume of the hollow body. The wall comprises a layer of glass comprising a first glass composition, comprises a base surface, and has a wall surface. The wall surface comprises at least one surface region, in which the base surface is at least partially superimposed by at least one elevated region, and at least one contact region, which extends along a contact range of a height of the hollow body. The at least one elevated region comprises a further glass composition. An exterior diameter of the hollow body has a maximum throughout the contact range. The at least one surface region is at least partially positioned in the at least one contact region.

Blow molding method, composite preform, composite container, inner label member, and plastic member

First, a composite preform 70 including a preform 10a and a plastic member 40a in close contact with the outer surface of the preform 10a is made by preparing the preform 10a made of plastic material and arranging the plastic member 40a to surround the outer surface of the preform 10a. Subsequently, the composite preform 70 is heated and inserted in a blow molding die 50 and undergoes blow molding in the blow molding die 50, by which the preform 10a and the plastic member 40a of the composite preform 70 are inflated integrally and a composite container 10A is obtained.
