BULK CONTAINER WITH QUICK-COUPLE LID

A container is configured to receive bulk material therein and to experience a pressure differential for which an internal container pressure is greater than ambient pressure. The container includes a receptacle and a removable lid. The receptacle defines a chamber to receive material. The receptacle includes a fill neck that defines a receptacle opening in fluid communication with the chamber. The lid covers the receptacle opening in an engaged condition to enclose the chamber. The receptacle includes a receptacle connector with spaced apart connector teeth, and the lid includes a lid connector with spaced apart connector lugs. The receptacle connector and the lid connector cooperatively providing a fractional-turn connection where the connector teeth and lugs are rotatable into and out of engagement with one another in the engaged condition to restrict lid separation from the fill neck associated with the pressure differential.

The present invention provides a dispensing system comprising a self-gassing liquid to be dispensed and a dispenser for dispensing the self-gassing liquid, the dispenser including: a valve housing having an inlet for receiving the liquid and an outlet through which the liquid is to be dispensed; a valve chamber and/or passage extending between the inlet and the outlet, and a valve arranged to open and close the valve chamber and/or passage; pressure maintaining means arranged to maintain the pressure of liquid at the inlet to the valve housing at a constant pressure during successive dispensing operations; and control means for controlling the opening and closing of the valve, the control means being arranged to open and close the valve to commence and terminate each successive dispensing operation, wherein the period for which the valve is open determines the quantity of liquid dispensed. The dispensing system may permit very small quantities of liquid to be dispensed with great accuracy and avoid the liquid being subjected to high shear forces. The system is particularly beneficial for the dispensing of peracetic acid.

A nestable drum for storing liquids is disclosed. In one non-limiting example, a drum may include a tapered cylinder between a first end and a second end. The tapered cylinder can have a top opening at the first end. A recessed port is positioned along a surface of the tapered cylinder. The recessed port can provide a side opening and can be configured as an outlet port for a liquid. The drum also includes a first recessed platform and a recessed platform. The first recessed platform can be nearer to the first end than the second end along on the surface of the tapered cylinder. The second recessed platform can nearer to the second end than the first end along on the surface of the tapered cylinder. The second recessed platform can extend further inward toward a center of the tapered cylinder than the first recessed platform.

Inner container made of plastic and transport and storage container for liquids comprising such an inner container

An inner plastic liquid container (25) includes a filling neck (41) in an upper wall (33) for filling the inner container and a front side outlet neck (40) for an outlet armature. A lower wall (28) interconnecting two side walls (30, 31), a rear wall (32) and a front wall (29) supports the container on a transport pallet (21) pallet base (26), which has an outer mantle (24) for receiving the container. The outlet neck is at a hopper bottom (39) of an outlet hopper (34) in the lower bottom wall. The outlet hopper has a front hopper wall (35) and inclined lateral hopper walls (36, 37) that are arranged at a hopper angle and each extend from a keel-shaped hopper base (38) to a lower edge (46, 47) of a side wall. A keel line (63) rises at another hopper angle from an outlet neck toward the rear wall.
