An apparatus for forming a box or bag that is made of a substrate strip which includes a winder having a mandrel and posts that extend from the mandrel in a direction parallel to a winding and translation axis that rotate together as a unit around the translation axis. The apparatus also has a feeder that includes precursors and a gathering head used for forming the precursors into the strip and feeding the strip to the winder. A motor adjusts the feeder's angle relative to the winder in response to instructions from the controller based on the dimensions of the box or bag. This causes controlled overlap between adjacent windings of the strip on the posts. As the mandrel rotates, the posts draw the strip and wind the strip along a spiral having a length in excess of the depth. Zero waste of precursors is made possible by cutting the substrate perpendicular to its length and folding over the box or bag ends to form an angled seam with respect to the sides of the box.
DRINKING CUP WITH INTEGRATED FOLDABLE COVER
A disposable cup includes a sidewall and a plurality of first, second, and third flaps arranged along a top end of the sidewall. The flaps are bendable along respective creases in the sidewall to a stacking configuration, an open configuration, and a closed configuration. In the stacking configuration, the first, second, and third flaps extend upward from and are aligned with the sidewall, which allows for multiple cups to be nested and stacked. In the open configuration, the first, second, and third flaps are downwardly bendable to respective positions along an exterior surface of the sidewall, which allows for full access to a liquid in the cup and drawing on the surface of the liquid contained within the cup in the form of latte art. In the closed configuration, the first, second and third flaps together define a concave cover to the cup and an elevated spout for drinking the liquid.

A solution for a logistical problem within the beverage industry, specifically related to hot beverages such as coffee and tea; namely, storing the means to sell the beverages, which generally includes a cup, a lid for the cup, and an insulation sleeve that allows holding the cup in a comfortable way for the consumer, avoiding burns due to the high temperatures of the liquid. Thus, the container presented here unifies the 3 elements, comprising a body formed by a base and a wall, where the upper edge of said container has a group of flaps that in their closed position enables liquid containment and prevents spillage in case the container is moved, and through a modification in the cross profile of the wall. Additionally, the container has an insulation sleeve that keeps the contact surface at a low temperature.

Size-adjustable mandrel and method of constructing a box using the same
A mandrel designed for use in the construction of a custom-sized box includes a common platform on which a plurality of peripheral members is independently mounted. Each peripheral member comprises a disc-shaped base rotatably mounted on the common platform, a tongue slidably mounted within a channel formed in the base, and a vertical upright rotatably mounted at one end of the tongue. To construct a box, an elongated continuous strip of material is helically wrapped around the vertical uprights to form a main box body with a plurality of bands. Cutting mechanisms in each upright are actuated to create slots in the main box body that define flaps used to selectively enclose the open top and bottom ends of the box body. By reconfiguring the vertical uprights in the mandrel, a customized box can be constructed that is dimensioned to receive a consumer product with limited wasted space.
Size-adjustable mandrel and method of constructing a box using the same
A mandrel designed for use in the construction of a custom-sized box includes a common platform on which a plurality of peripheral members is independently mounted. Each peripheral member comprises a disc-shaped base rotatably mounted on the common platform, a tongue slidably mounted within a channel formed in the base, and a vertical upright rotatably mounted at one end of the tongue. To construct a box, an elongated continuous strip of material is helically wrapped around the vertical uprights to form a main box body with a plurality of bands. BLANK FOR FORMING DISPOSABLE CUP AND DISPOSABLE CUP
A blank 10 for forming a disposable cup, the blank including a cardboard sheet designed to be formed into a body of a cup, the blank including an edge 12 in a form of a first arc for forming the bottom edge of the cup, and a folding line for forming the rim of the cup, wherein the folding line for forming the rim of the cup contains a first folding line 14 formed by a plurality of interconnected arc-shaped folding lines 16 each arcing to the opposite direction than the first arc, and wherein a foldable wing 18 extends form each arc-shaped folding line, the wings being configured to be folded towards the center of the formed cup to lock onto each other to form a cover over the opening of the cup. The present application also provides a disposable cup formed from the blank, and a method for preparing a disposable cup.
