Exercise chair utilizing an adjustable resistance band system
An exercise chair includes a chair frame, and a base fixed with the chair frame that is adapted to support the exercise chair on a floor surface. The base and chair frame have a plurality of anchors projecting away therefrom. A cushion may cover at least a portion of the frame. Multiple resistance bands each have multiple longitudinal slots therethrough, each adapted for selective fixing with any of the anchor knobs or several attachable exercise devices. In use, with the person seated in the chair and the chair resting on the support surface, one or two of the resistance bands can be fixed with any of the anchor knobs, so that the person can exercise by pushing and/or pulling the at least one resistance band. Different types of attachments are included for exercising varying muscle groups.
CONVERTIBLE ROWING MACHINE
A rowing machine includes a handle having a first portion and a second portion that are selectively connectable. The rowing machine includes a flywheel driven by two separate cables. A first cable is connected to the first portion of the handle and a second cable is connected to the second portion. A spreader extends the width between the first portion and the second portion, allowing a user to perform kayak and canoeing exercises.
Adjustable hanging assembly for flow generating device
A hanging assembly is disclosed for use with a flow generating device that produces a current in a pool. The hanging assembly includes a back supporting plate coupled to a side supporting plate where a plate angle is formed between the back supporting plate and the side supporting plate. The plate angle is adjustable such that a current angle of the current relative to a sidewall of the pool can be varied based on user preferences.
Harness with single-pull adjustment
A chest protector includes a protective vest portion and a harness portion to hold the vest portion on a user. The harness portion includes a first side strap and a second side strap, each of the first and second side straps being connected to the vest portion on opposing sides of the vest portion; a first slide connected to the first side strap; a second slide connected to the second side strap; a central strap passing through the first slide and the second slide and forming a loop connecting the first and second slides; a vertical strap connected to the central strap; and a strap adjuster connecting the vest portion and the vertical strap. The vertical strap passes through the strap adjuster and a free end of the vertical strap can be pulled to tighten the harness portion around a user. The vertical strap may be the only adjustable strap.
Swing trainer
A swing trainer configured to draw the elbows of the player together by the cocking of the player's wrists. The swing trainer includes arm mounts configured to mount to a player's arms at an intermediate position; and a link with at least a portion connected to the mounts and extending therebetween and arranged such that the portion of the link between the arms is configured to shorten during a swing of a stroke to inhibit splaying of the elbows of the player during the stroke, the link being slidably connected to the one of the mounts so it may slide past. A corresponding method of swing training using said swing trainer is also disclosed.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR PROVIDING SUPPORT WHEN EXERCISING
A device for providing support to a user performing a physical exercise is provided. The device includes a frame including a first support strut and a second support strut and an elastic strap coupled to a first end of the first support strut and a first end of the second support strut. The elastic strap has sufficient tension to provide support to a user's body weight by supporting a chest of the user when the user performs a push-up using the device. In embodiments, the device includes a base support coupled to the frame. A sleeve of material may be disposed around a portion of the strap that is between the first support strut and the second support strut.
Golf swing plane training aid device
The present disclosure relates to a portable golf swing plane training device having a base support, alignment rods, and a golf club insert member for receiving a golf club. The golf club, when applied to the golf club insert member, acts as a weight and support member to stabilize and firmly hold the portable golf swing plane training device to a golf playing surface.
Hydraulic resistance exercise apparatus
A hydraulic resistance exercise apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus has a frame adjustably supporting at least one drum body. One of an arm bar and a leg bar pivotally attached to the at least one drum body. A hydraulic vane cylinder is carried in each the at least one drum body. The hydraulic vane cylinder has one or more hydraulic channels and at least one vane coupled to one of the arm bar and the leg bar, such that operation of one of the arm bar and the leg bar urges a hydraulic fluid contained within the hydraulic vane cylinder under a resistance by passage of the hydraulic fluid through the one or more hydraulic channels.
Self-spotting exercise apparatus
A self-spotting exercise apparatus is formed to include a pair of weight-bearing arms that are attached to a back frame assembly of the apparatus by a pair of double-hinge components. The double-hinge configuration provides a full range of motion for the weight-bearing arms with respect to the “fixed” apparatus itself. The opposing end terminations of the weight-bearing arms are configured to support weight plates (which may be changed out, as desired), with the weight-bearing arms also including a pair of handgrips for the user to hold as he/she moves the weight-bearing arms during an exercise routine. Self-spotting is provided by the use of a foot-activated motion bar, which is attached to a pair of vertical support posts that hold the distal ends of the extended arms when not in use.
