A retail-ready container includes internal corner supports. The container is erected from a preassembly formed from a single blank. The blank includes a side panel, a bottom panel, and an auxiliary panel. Each of the side panel and the auxiliary panel include a plurality of sections connected by respective fold lines. The auxiliary panel is folded against the side panel and sections of the auxiliary panel are adhered to corresponding sections of the side panel. Fold lines of the side panel are laterally offset from fold lines of the auxiliary panel so that unfolding of the preassembly yields the container with internal corner supports.

Method for forming reinforced polygonal containers from blanks

A method of forming a container from a blank of sheet material using a machine is provided. The method includes forming a corner wall by folding a first pair of a plurality of reinforcing panels inwardly towards a respective side panel and into face-to-face contact with a second pair of the plurality of reinforcing panels, rotating the side panels and end panels to be substantially perpendicular to a bottom panel such that an interior surface of at least one reinforcing panel of the plurality of reinforcing panels is in contact with an interior surface of the first side panel, and coupling at least one other reinforcing panel of the plurality of reinforcing panels to one of the end panels to form the container.

A blank is provided which has a chassis of corrugated cardboard where a series of a quadrangular closure flap, a quadrangular cover panel, a first quadrangular lateral panel, a quadrangular bottom panel and a second quadrangular lateral panel are individuated by crease lines. Each panel is provided with left and right quadrangular flaps, respectively. The blank has four compression members of corrugated cardboard glued to an internal face of the chassis in correspondence of areas bordering the first and second quadrangular panels and the respective left and right quadrangular flaps. A box obtainable from the blank by folding is also provided.

The flexible liner is adhesively attached to the inner sides of the carton's panels creating demonstrably stronger carton walls and having the same top-load compression strength as standard, conventionally constructed liners. The flexible liners disclosed herein are unique in their die-cut construction resulting in liner panels, and optionally flaps, that are separated from adjacent liner panels by a plurality of slots and flexibly attached to adjacent panels by a plurality of bridges.

The cardboard section may have a first flap, a central support section and an upper flap defined by the first and second pluralities of creases and opposed ends of the cardboard section. The rectangular section of cardboard may include a rectangular window disposed adjacent the first plurality of creases. The rectangular section of cardboard may also include a tab at one end of the rectangular section of cardboard, which tab may be adapted for engagement with the window when the rectangular section of cardboard is in a closed position in which it is ready for shipping. The cardboard packaging may come in a variety of sizes and configurations depending on the size of the cards and card holders to be shipped.
