TopSink: liquid storage device with automatic discharge in high volume batches
12085969 · 2024-09-10 · ·

TopSink is an automatic drainage device that includes a floatable funnel with a flexible discharge line connected to a discharge port on an interior of a barrel. The funnel rises with the level of the collected water and or rain until it nears the barrel's maximum capacity, when it is triggered to sink and drain out a predetermined volume of water. As the funnel sinks it continues to drain water until it is caught by at least two predetermined depth adjustable rods. The catch rods establish how much water is drained from the barrel each time capacity is reached. Water or rain continues to drain from the TopSink until the water or rain level gets to the level of the catch rods. Upon further water or rain collection, the funnel begins to float again on the surface of the water, until capacity is reached again.

Can end with reinforcing bead

A can end for a two-piece beverage can is described. The can end has a center panel positioned about a vertical center axis. The center panel has a means for opening the can end located on a public side. A circumferential strengthening member is located about the center panel. A wall extends upwardly from the circumferential strengthening member. A curl is joined to an upper end of the wall. The curl defines an outer perimeter of the can end. A reinforcing bead is located on the wall between an uppermost portion of the wall and a lowermost portion of the wall.

A structure of an opening curled portion of a bottle-shaped can possible to enhance the durability of a curled portion against a load applied from above so as to ensure tamper evidence function. The curled portion 10 comprises: an inner circumferential wall 16; an upper rounded portion 17; an outer circumferential wall 20; a lower rounded portion 21; a folded end 22; and a leading edge 23. A tapered wall 15 is formed below the inner circumferential wall 16 to be joined to a threaded section while increasing an outer diameter thereof downwardly. A margin surface area 24 is formed between the inner circumferential wall 16 and the tapered wall 15, in such a manner as to extend downwardly from a lowest end 25 of a contact area with the folded end 22, to locate a curvature center P2 thereof outside of the neck section, and to set a curvature radius R2 thereof longer than a curvature radius R1 of the lower rounded portion 21 in a cross-section along a center axis O of the neck section.

Lid element and closure assembly for a beverage container

The invention relates to a lid element (1) for a beverage container (2), at least comprising a lid panel (3) having an opening (4), a fold edge (6) extending around the lid panel (3) in a circumferential direction (5) for connecting the lid element (1) to the beverage container (2), as well as damping bead (7) extending circumferentially between the fold edge (6) and the lid panel (3); wherein the lid element (1) has an outer face (8) and an inner face (9), and the opening (4) has an opening rim (10) and an opening plane (11) formed by the opening rim (10); wherein the lid element (1) has a connection region (12) which directly adjoins the opening rim (10), extends around the opening rim (10) in the circumferential direction (5), and extends at least in part at an angle of inclination (13).
