Systems and Methods for Guiding Swimmers
A system for guiding a swimmer that includes a destination device configured to be arranged near a destination location which a swimmer will swim towards. The system further includes directional determination equipment configured to determine a direction the swimmer should swim towards based, at least in part, on the swimmer's current position in reference to the destination device. The system further includes directional guidance equipment configured to indicate to the swimmer the determined direction the swimmer should swim towards, wherein the directional guidance equipment includes a first guidance device configured to be worn by the swimmer while swimming and having first vibration hardware for vibrating the first guidance device, and wherein the directional guidance equipment dynamically indicates for the swimmer to swim in the direction via at least the first vibration means.
METHOD OF COUPLING A MOTION SENSOR TO A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT
Method for coupling a sensor to a piece of equipment, such as a golf club, baseball bat, or tennis racket, that ensures that the sensor is in a known position and orientation relative to the equipment. Compensates and calibrates for degrees of freedom introduced in manufacturing and installation. The method may include manufacturing a sensor receiver that aligns with equipment in a fixed orientation, and that holds a sensor housing in a fixed orientation relative to the receiver. Remaining uncertainties in sensor position and orientation may be addressed using post-installation calibration. Calibration may include performing specific calibration movements with the equipment and analyzing the sensor data collected during these calibration movements.
Exercise and Therapy Pool Structure
A pool structure uses an installation to receive a treadmill within the pool. The installation has a pan which is embedded within the floor of the pool. A duct projects from the pan through a sidewall of the pool. A motor uses a mechanical transmission extending through the sidewall to provide motive power to the treadmill. Anchoring studs, which are drilled into the pool floor, are attached to the pan via a structural angle weldment.
Apparatus for experiencing a virtual reality simulation in an underwater world
The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for at least one user (2) for experiencing a virtual reality simulation in an underwater world, comprising: at least one water resource (10) with at least one flow generator (20), at least one data processing system, and at least one VR display device (40), wherein the data processing system generates a virtual reality simulation, wherein the at least one flow generator (20) is controlled by the data processing system as a function of the virtual reality simulation, and wherein the virtual reality simulation is reproduced on the VR display device (40).
Game Ball with Non-Slip Layer and Its Manufacture Method
A game ball with non-slip layer includes a plurality of f stretchable panels, and marginal edges of the panels connected and sealed together to form a ball surface, and the ball surface having in inflating hole to inflate air into an inflatable bag formed inside the panels; and a non-slip mesh layer covered around an outer surface of the ball surface to provide improved handing and playable characteristics.
Dynamic artificial wave facility for surfing practice
Disclosed is a facility including an artificial wave generator having an element for driving moving water along a predetermined path, including a first body profiled as a hydrofoil, orientated upright, having a leading edge towards the front, a trailing edge towards the rear, first and second main faces extending respectively on a first side and a second side, between the leading and trailing edges, and being configured with respect to the path so that when the generator is in service, a lift force directed towards a wave development zone is applied on the first body; and a second body profiled as a hydrofoil, orientated horizontally, having a leading edge towards the front, a trailing edge towards the rear, first and second main faces extending respectively on a first side and a second side.
Orientation during swimming
There is provided an apparatus, wherein the apparatus is configured to perform operations comprising: obtaining heading information indicating a target heading to a target; detecting, during swimming, that the swimmer deviates from the target heading; and informing the swimmer, via a user interface element, that the swimmer has deviated from the target heading.
Hand hold assembly
A hand hold assembly designed for climbers with special needs. The hand hold assembly has a molded body structure with outwardly extending arms and a grab bar extending therebetween. The hand hold assembly has means for mounting the assembly on a climbing wall so that the grab bar may be disposed at various desired orientations. The grab bar may be textured, have a moisture absorbing layer or be illuminated.
Sports garment
The present invention provides a garment (1) for covering a wearer's thighs. The garment comprises a pair of front resistance elements (6) each of which, in use, extends obliquely across the front of a respective one of the wearer's thighs. It also comprises a pair of rear resistance elements (10) each of which, in use, extends obliquely across the rear of a respective one of the wearer's thighs. Each of the front and rear resistance elements extends from a respective upper position (7, 11) located proximal to the midline (8) of the garment to a respective lower position (9, 12) located distal from the midline of the garment. This provides a stabilizing effect on the wearer's hip joint.
Aquatic exercise device
An aquatic exercise device is disclosed, able to exert omnidirectional uniform water resistance while exercising, so that equal force is required to move it in any direction. The water resistance of the device according to the invention can be adjusted in a quick and measured way. This device can be operated with one hand and can be brought close to the body of exerciser.
