PELVIC EXERCISE DEVICE
The present application pertains to a device for personal training for pelvic floor muscles of a female user. Methods of using the device are also described.
Protection device and related method of use
Protector for an American football player, including, as impact absorption device, an inflatable element defining an inner chamber adapted to receive an inflation fluid and adapted to assume an active inflated condition. Use of an inflatable element as a protector for an American football player and a method for protecting an American football player are also described.
DAP System Control and Related Devices and Methods
A method for controlling a DAP system is provided that includes calculating a user seal interface height based on an estimated user height, and based thereon determining an attachment carriage height and a usage carriage height different than the user seal interface height. The method also includes driving powered vertical lifts to raise each carriage to an attachment position at the attachment carriage height while the user is in the DAP system through the top opening including raising about the user the seal frame attached to the carriages and thereby raising the top opening attached to the seal frame, and also controlling the lifts to retain the attachment position during user seal attachment and confirming the attachment. Responsive to confirming, the method includes driving the lifts to move each carriage to a usage position at the usage carriage height and inflating the enclosure to an unweighting.
DAP SYSTEM ADJUSTMENTS VIA FLEXIBLE RESTRAINTS AND RELATED DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A height-adjustable DAP exercise system is provided having a support platform, an inflatable enclosure secured to the support platform at a base opening through the enclosure and extending vertically therefrom when inflated, and a top frame attached to the enclosure at an enclosure top opening. The DAP system further includes adjustable lift restraints each having a restraint length between first and second ends and configured for adjustment between a first restraint length and at least one second restraint length, in which each first end of each lift restraint is attached to a middle portion of the enclosure and each second end is attached to the top frame or the base. The enclosure height is adjustable between a first and second enclosure height responsive to adjustments for lift restraint lengths. The system also includes a low height safety harness for the top frame and related methods.
Backpack carrier type golf practice tool
A golf practice tool is provided having a columnar box. The columnar box is provided with a shoulder belt and the columnar box is carried on the back of the golf player. The columnar box has a substantially flat upper surface. A plurality of striped line patterns or striped patterns substantially parallel to a side surface, which touches a back of a person and is called a back touch side surface, of the columnar box are drawn on the upper surface. The degree of inclination of the upper body of the golf player when playing golf can be adjusted by using the striped line patterns or the striped patterns. On side surfaces other than the back touch side surface of the columnar box, a plurality of vertical striped line patterns or vertical striped patterns are drawn substantially at right angles to the bottom surface of the columnar box. The degree of rotation of the upper body at a golf swing can be adjusted by using the vertical striped line patterns or the vertical striped patterns.
Golf club head having multi-material face and method of manufacture
A golf club with a multi-material face is disclosed herein. More specifically, the golf club head in accordance with the present invention has a multi-material striking face portion that is made out of a backing layer having a frontal pocket, made out of titanium, and an insert, made out of a composite material, adapted to be inserted into the frontal pocket. The frontal pocket and the insert could have complementary dovetail shaped undercut features to create a mechanical bond between these two components.
Soft portable wearable pneumatic interactive suit
A fully wearable system used for communication and information transfer between two users or between a user and a machine to render an effective and intuitive physical interface for combined input and output functions, the fully wearable system including a bidirectional wearable skin including distributed actuator and sensing elements, the actuator and sensing elements including a multimodal actuation layer and a sensing layer, the bidirectional wearable skin being flexible and stretchable, and a portable control device for controlling the distributed actuator and sensing elements, and reading signals from the sensing layer, the portable control device is configured to perform pixilated actuation for both micro- and macrostimulation of a body of a wearer by an actuation frequency and stimulation amplitude.
Orthopedic shoulder brace
An orthopedic brace for supporting a shoulder and an arm of a patient can comprise a sleeve, a pad, a pillow, and a system of adjustable straps for positioning and securing the sleeve in a desired position for treatment. The pad can comprise a plurality of pockets for accepting hot or cold compresses therein for providing thermal therapy, and can be removable from the brace to be used in isolation along other parts of the body. The adjustable straps can be replaced with tensile straps, and the sleeve can be positioned along different points of the patient's body to allow the patient to conduct various patient driven exercises, including patient driven range of motion or strengthening exercises.
Immersive upper limb rehabilitation training system
An immersive upper limb rehabilitation training system includes a dual-arm rehabilitation robot, a base, a position tracker, a VR headset, a force-feedback glove, a host computer control center and passive compliant end-effectors. The dual-arm rehabilitation robot is mounted on the base, and drives an arm of a patient to move through two passive compliant end effectors. The visual sensor is used for recording a motion of an upper limb of the patient and feedback-controlling a motion of the dual-arm rehabilitation robot. The position tracker is used for real-time collecting position and posture information of the arm and transmitting it to the upper computer control center. The two passive compliant end-effectors are respectively worn on a forearm and an upper arm of the patient. The upper computer control center is used to provide a quantitative index and control a display of a training screen.
HYBRID BASEBALL BAT AND CONSTRUCTION METHODS
Disclosed herein are various forms of hybrid baseball bats comprising a wood shell having a radial wall and an outer radial surface profile defining a baseball bat. The wood shell having a central core with a central surface thereon extending from a distal end of the bat. The central surface being profiled with a taper that in some embodiments extends entirely through to the proximal end. A fibrous construct is housed in the central core and infiltrated with an epoxy resin. In some forms, the fibrous construct is in the form of a sleeve.
