In one aspect, a swim system may include a reverse thrust system worn by a swimmer proximate the frontal upper torso. The system provides a variable amount of reverse thrust such that the user can swim-in-place or make gradual forward progress. Importantly, this may enable a user to effectively “extend” a small residential pool to serve the same function as a twenty-five meter pool typically found at commercial or government facilities. The system also provides laminar current under the user while swimming, which solves the problems of “leg drop,” the need to “out-kick” the arm stroke, and turbulence and wave action around the head associated with conventional swim-in-place devices. Still further, in certain embodiments the system provides a relatively strong current in the region of the arm stroke moving away from the swimmer which provides enhanced “resistance” for proficient swimmers.

The attachment platform having a locking mechanism to engaging with a complementary locking mechanism of the board.

An inflatable plyometric box having a first inflatable member adapted to be inflated to a pressure, a second inflatable member on top of the first inflatable member and adapted to be inflated to a pressure, and a connecting member connected to the first inflatable member and the second inflatable member which secures the first inflatable member to the second inflatable member. The first and second inflatable members incorporate drop stitch technology which provides substantial rigidity to first and second inflatable members when the first and second inflatable members are inflated to the pressures. Thus the inflatable plyometric box is substantially rigid to support a user landing on the top of the inflatable plyometric box. The inflatable plyometric box may additionally include a stabilizing member which may be connected to the bottom of the inflatable plyometric box, wherein the stabilizing member is adapted to increase the stability of the inflatable plyometric box.

A spinal treatment system includes a traction device, an exercise device adapted for imparting curvature to the lumbar or sacral spine of a user and for manipulating the spine and intervertebral discs with decompression force, and a cushion coupled to the traction device and configured to bear against one or both of a head of the user and the thoracic spine of the user. The exercise device includes a frame for placement on the floor. A pad or inflatable bladder is carried by the top surface of the frame. A body strap attachment portion encompasses the thoracic-sacral spinal vertebrae region of the user and secures the frame to the user. The cushion includes one or more pad sections or inflatable bladder sections.

A method of using a base for physical therapy is disclosed. The base includes a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface. A minor surface joins the first major surface to the second major surface, and the base has a deflated configuration at a first internal pressure and an inflated configuration at a second internal pressure that is greater than the first internal pressure. In the method, the second major surface of the base is positioned over a surface. The base is in the deflated configuration. Further, in the method, the base is inflated to the inflated configuration, and a physical therapy technique is performed on the base.

A fitness device is provided, the fitness device comprising: a spheroidal member having an interior cavity, the spheroidal member comprising a cylindrical portion extending between a first hemispherical endcap and a second hemispherical endcap, wherein a surface of the spheroidal member defines an aperture positioned between the interior cavity and an exterior of the spheroidal member; and a structured surface positioned on the surface of the spheroidal member over the aperture, the structured surface extending into the interior cavity of the spheroidal member.

A golf club with a multi-material face is disclosed herein. More specifically, the golf club head in accordance with the present invention has a multi-material striking face portion that is made out of a backing layer having a frontal pocket, made out of titanium, and an insert, made out of a composite material, adapted to be inserted into the frontal pocket. The frontal pocket and the insert could have complementary dovetail shaped undercut features to create a mechanical bond between these two components.
