Heated lacrosse stick shaft
An apparatus and method of providing heat to hand-holding locations on a lacrosse stick shaft including a heating emitting element and a user-operable control. The apparatus and method may include one or more resistive heating elements connectable to a power source such as a battery. Charging of the power source may be by plug in charging, kinetic energy charging, contact charging, inductive charging, or by replacement of a battery. The apparatus and method may be configured for mounting within the stick shaft, for being mounted in an end piece at the butt end of the shaft, or being positioned on the outside of the shaft as a sleeve or wrap. The apparatus and method may include a chemical heating apparatus or phase change heating apparatus positioned within or on the stick shaft. The user control may be mounted in or on the end piece at the butt end of the shaft. An indicator may provide information to a user regarding status states of the operation of the lacrosse stick shaft heating or recharging.
Low friction rehabilitation board with an integral band retaining feature and methods of rehabilitation
A low friction rehabilitation board having an integral band retaining feature is described. The rehabilitation board may have a coefficient of static friction of no more than about 0.5 and in some embodiments no more than about 0.06. The rehabilitation board has a plurality of band retaining feature configured along one or both ends and may be an integral band retaining features being formed in the board. Additionally, the rehabilitation may include one or more band retaining features on one or both sides of the board. The unique configuration of the band retaining features enables rehabilitation method heretofore not possible with a single board. Resistance bands may be retained in the band retaining features and coupled to a user's limb, such as a foot or ankle, to resist motion, such as sliding or extending the foot along the low friction surface of the rehabilitation board.
Climber exercise machine
Climber exercise machine comprises a frame connected to a base through a base connection, the frame pivotable about the base connection. A right handle and a left handle are connected to respective right and left sides of the frame, the right handle moving within a first range of motion, the left handle moving within a second range of motion. A right pedal and a left pedal are connected to the respective right and left sides of the frame, the right pedal moving within a third range of motion, the left pedal moving within a forth range of motion. The right handle, the left handle, the right pedal, and the left pedal movable generally in the same plane. An angle between the frame and a plane parallel to an underside of the base is adjustable while the climber exercise machine is mounted by a user.
Foot-therapy and toe-aligning device
Described is an exercise tool. More particularly, it is a therapy and exercise tool specifically devised as a foot-therapy and toe-aligning device to align, separate, and stretch toes. The foot-therapy and toe-aligning device comprises a frame with a plurality of posts connected with the frame. The device is formed of an elastic material such that a user may place at least one of the plurality of posts between a user's toes and pull the post to stretch and elongate the post between the toes. Upon release, the elastic material of the post causes the post to attempt to return to its original shape, thereby causing it to expand out and conform its shape to fit snugly against the user's toes. Additionally, the elastic material allows the toe posts to be positioned and maintained at numerous locations between the user's toes for customizable positioning between the toes.
WEIGHTED HANDHELD ELECTRONIC DEVICE
The present invention is directed to a weighted hand held electronic device that is ergonomically shaped to fit one's hand. The device has the ability to control another device such as a television using built in remote control capabilities and the ability to control an auxiliary device such as a phone, music player, or other device that can be attached to this handheld device. The handheld device makes walking, running, or other forms of exercising easier and more productive while watching television because of the device's weight, convenience and functionality.
Coatings for golf balls having a thermoplastic polyurethane cover
Methods for coatings for golf balls, particularly golf balls having thermoplastic polyurethane covers, and the resulting finished balls are provided. The coating is preferably a topcoat comprising a polyurethane composition containing optical brighteners. The topcoat composition preferably comprises a low concentration of optical brighteners. For example, the concentration of optical brightener can be in the range of 0.01 to about 0.20 weight %. The optical brighteners provide the desired brightness to the golf ball without sacrificing color stability. Multi-piece golf balls having inner cores, outer cores, inner covers, and intermediate layers can be made. The finished ball with the topcoat has many advantageous physical and playing performance properties.
APPARATUS FOR NATURAL TORSO AND LIMBS TRACKING AND FEEDBACK FOR ELECTRONIC INTERACTION
An apparatus for natural torso and limbs tracking and feedback for electronic interaction with fall safety support. The apparatus comprises a body harness worn on the body of a user, a support structure designed to bear the weight of the user in the event of a stumble, trip, or fall, and a plurality of tethers attached at one end to the harness and at the other end to the support structure. One or more sensors are integrated into the system to measure aspects of the user's movement and used as input to control a computer system. In the event of stumble, trip, or fall, all of, or a portion of, the user's body weight is borne by the tethers as a safety mechanism to prevent injury. The system is designed to be used with virtual reality systems wherein the user's vision is blocked or obscured by a virtual reality visor.
Golf club head utilizing internal adhesive and metal composite
A golf club head is manufactured to form a cavity where the striking face of the golf club is secured to the sole and upper portion of the golf club head. A weighted composite is manipulated into a predetermined location within the cavity. The composite contains an adhesive which secures the composite within the cavity.
Body joystick for interacting with virtual reality or mixed reality machines or software applications
A system and method for using a body joystick to interact with a virtual or mixed-reality machines or software applications that uses a support arm to hold a device for attaching the body joystick to a user's body, a sensor for detecting movement, and a tether and actuator for providing feedback to the user about interactions with the virtual or mixed-reality machines or software applications.
Exercise Device
An exercise device for seated exercising and heat therapy includes a chair, to which a plurality of biasers is operationally engaged. A pair of footrests and a pair of handrests are operationally engaged to the chair. Each footrest and each handrest is engageable to an associated foot and an associated hand of the user, respectively. The footrest is operationally engaged to a respective biaser so that the respective biaser is positioned to resist movement of the footrest relative to the chair. The handrest is operationally engaged to a respective biaser so that the respective biaser is positioned to resist movement of the handrest relative to the chair. The footrests and the handrests thus are useful in exercising feet and hands of the user, respectively. A plurality of heating elements, which is engaged to the chair, the footrests, and the handrests, can warm an abdomen and joints of the user.
