The present disclosure relates to methods for preparing a packaged product and one or more unpackaged products for shipping. The methods may include providing a shipping container generally sized to accommodate the unpackaged product(s). The shipping container has a plurality of walls and a bottom that define an interior of the shipping container, and each of the walls has an edge that cooperate to define an open side of the shipping container. The methods may also include inserting the unpackaged product(s) into the shipping container, and attaching the shipping container to the packaged product such that a wall of the packaged product covers the open side of the shipping container.

A stackable container system is configured to provide stacked receptacles for receiving bulk material therein. The stackable container system includes a first receptacle configured to provide a respective stacked receptacle. The first receptacle includes a receptable bottom, a receptable top, and a receptacle side extending along an upright container axis between the receptacle bottom and top, with the first receptacle presenting a container chamber. The receptacle top is configured to at least partly support another one of the stacked receptacles stacked relative thereto along the upright container axis. The receptacle top and the receptacle side have, respectively, a top peripheral margin and a side peripheral margin that extend laterally about the upright container axis, with at least part of the top peripheral margin being laterally outboard of the side peripheral margin. At least part of the top peripheral margin is interconnected to the side peripheral margin along a transition section that extends laterally between the receptacle top and the receptacle side.

The recessed structure is recessed into the carrying portion. The recessed structure has an opening and a recessed space, and the recessed space is communicated with the outside through the opening. There is a first distance defined by the recessed space along a first direction, and there is a second distance defined by the opening along the first direction. The first distance is greater than the second distance.

Tessellating Blister Packages For Contact Lenses

A blister package for a contact lens is provided that can be stacked with other blister packages of the same design. One example of the blister package has a body that includes a dome and a handle. A seal is attached to the top surface of the body and has a seal dome that seals a volume between the outer sidewall of the body dome and the inner sidewall of the seal dome. The handle has a through-hole and the through-hole that accommodates the outer sidewall of the seal dome. Another blister package provided has a handle and a bowl and the handle has a through-hole that accommodates the bowl outer surface. Stacks of blister packages are also provided as is secondary packaging for packaging stacks of tessellating blister packages.

A stackable container includes a step-shaped edge at upper ends of side walls and, on the outer side of the side walls, a projection resting on the step-shaped edge. Openings at lower edges of the side walls open into a collecting channel which extends along the base and is connected in one piece with the base and which collects small quantities of liquids passing through the openings. The projection covers the collecting channel and, together with the outer wall of the collecting channel and the step-shaped edge of the container located therebeiow, forms a free space, into which larger quantities of liquids can pass and flow into the lower container. Extinguishing water, sprayed over the stack of containers in the event of a fire, can thus pass from the upper container into the lower containers of the stack and extinguish a fire in a lower region of the stack.
