SYSTEM, AN APPARATUS, AND A METHOD FOR TREATING A SEXUAL DYSFUNCTIONAL FEMALE PATIENT
There is disclosed an apparatus, a system and a method for treating a sexual dysfunctional female patient. The apparatus comprises at least one expandable prosthesis adapted for implantation in female erectile tissue and adapted to be adjusted to temporarily achieve enlarged status of the female erectile tissue.
Hand therapy kit with presence sensors
A hand therapy kit includes hand therapy modules and a housing having defined receptacles in which the hand therapy modules are removably disposed. A module presence sensor is disposed in each receptacle to detect the presence or absence of the corresponding hand therapy module. A microprocessor disposed in the hand therapy kit sends the module presence sensor data to a remote computer that analyzes the module presence sensor data to determine whether the patient is complying with a prescribed treatment regimen. The remote computer can generate warnings, alerts, and/or notifications when noncompliance is detected.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COOLING AN EXERCISE DEVICE
An exercise system includes a housing, a drive motor, a drive member, a filter, and a fan. The housing defines an interior volume and has an intake and an outlet. The drive motor is positioned in the housing and is connected to the drive member. At least part of the drive member is positioned inside the housing and part of the drive member is outside the housing. The drive member is positioned through the outlet in the housing. The filter is in fluid communication with the intake, and the fan is in fluid communication with the intake and the filter. The fan provides a positive pressure in the interior volume of the housing.
Resistance garments
Resistance garments are disclosed. In some embodiments, the resistance garments may include a body portion, first and second leg portions, and an elastic strap assembly secured to the body portion and the first and second leg portions. The elastic strap assembly may be configured to apply (1) a first force at the wearer's hips that urges the thighs of the wearer toward the wearer's torso, and (2) a second force at the wearer's thighs that urges the thighs of the wearer toward each other. In some embodiments, the elastic band assembly may include a belt, first and second knee bands, front elastic straps in the form of an X-shape with ends that are attached to, or formed with, the belt and knee bands, and rear elastic straps in the form of an X-shape with ends that are attached to, or formed with, the belt and knee bands.
Athletic striking mitts
An athletic striking mitt is disclosed used in training athletes in boxing, martial arts, and other sports. The athletic striking mitt includes a back pad that increases the number of creative striking combinations available to the striker and reduces the repetitive stress common to the wrist, elbow, and shoulder of the trainer. An athletic striking mitt may include a glove assembly having a palm side and a back side, a front pad coupled to the palm side of the glove assembly, and a back pad coupled to the back side of the glove assembly. The glove assembly is sandwiched between the front pad and the back pad.
ABDOMINAL EXERCISE CYCLING APPARATUS
A system, method, and apparatus for providing an abdominal exercise cycling apparatus is provided having a body support apparatus, secured to a base apparatus using fasteners, an adjustable lumbar support pad, secured to the base apparatus using a fastener; an anti-slip component, having a friction textured surface configured to interlock with the lower surface of the base apparatus; a stabilizing member, an adjustable member capable of affixing the frame portion in at least one fixed position when the adjustable member is inserted in an aperture comprising a supporting member, the supporting member, providing load bearing support when in the at least one fixed position; a housing covering, a display, having a user interface capable of displaying real-time readings, set in the housing; a resistance apparatus having a contactless eddy brake unit whereby the resistance apparatus utilizing the contactless eddy brake unit to create progressively increasing resistance as speed increases.
GARMENT SYSTEM INCLUDING AT LEAST ONE SENSOR AND AT LEAST ONE ACTUATOR RESPONSIVE TO THE SENSOR AND RELATED METHODS
Embodiments disclosed herein relate to a garment system including at least one sensor and at least one actuator that operates responsive to sensing feedback from the at least one sensor to cause a flexible compression garment to selectively constrict or selectively dilate, thereby compressing or relieving compression against at least one body part of a subject. Such selective constriction or dilation can improve muscle functioning or joint functioning during use of motion-conducive equipment, such as an exercise bike or rowing machine.
Leg Exerciser Adaptable to an Office Chair
Improvements in an exercise cycle is disclosed. The cycle is adaptable to an office chair with a hook feature that allows for easy engaging and disengaging of an office chair floor leg, support or caster. The extending hook allows for users of different heights to make use of the chair hook without requiring a user to change hooks to accommodate different heights of a user and office chair casters. The pedals are connected through a common axis and connect to a loading mechanism. There can be a flywheel and a transmission that alters the turning rate of the flywheel and/or the loading mechanism. The size and shape of the resistance loading housing is configured to fit under a common office desk. The user's weight, is transferred to the plate through the office chair caster to improve the stability of the desk bike.
ANATOMICAL PROTECTIVE ITEMS
Disclosed herein are methods, apparatus and computer program products for use in manufacturing an anatomical protective item for one or more users. Embodiments of anatomical protective items may comprise a single layer of energy controlling cells. Input data associated with one or more users is obtained. The obtained input data is processed to identify one or more energy controlling criteria for the anatomical protective item. A packing process is employed to generate each energy controlling cell in the single layer. Each energy controlling cell comprises one or more walls which extend from an upper surface of the single layer to a lower surface of the single layer. The packing process is performed at least on the basis of the identified one or more energy controlling criteria. The anatomical protective item comprising the single layer of energy controlling cells is manufactured.
BODY JOYSTICK FOR INTERACTING WITH VIRTUAL REALITY OR MIXED REALITY MACHINES OR SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS
A system and method for using a body joystick to interact with a virtual or mixed-reality machines or software applications that uses a support arm to hold a device for attaching the body joystick to a user's body, a sensor for detecting movement, and a tether and actuator for providing feedback to the user about interactions with the virtual or mixed-reality machines or software applications.
