A device for protecting against shocks for a glass bottle is presented, having a body, a bottom and a distal portion successively comprising from the body, a shoulder, a collar and a neck, said device comprising a first cup engaging with the bottom and a second cup engaging with the shoulder, each of the cups having a projecting portion for damping shocks, along a transversal plane, beyond a zone of a larger diameter of the bottle. The projecting portion of at least one from among the first and the second cups includes a plurality of damping pads spaced apart from one another.

A protective cover apparatus designed to couple to a container to minimize abrasions, deformation and damage to the container due to impact forces generated from contact with an object is provided. The container includes a top open end continuously connected to a closed bottom end by a side wall. The protective cover apparatus includes an upper bumper disposed around the container proximate the top open end, and a lower bumper coupled to the bottom closed end of the container. The lower bumper has a base continuously connected to a side wall. The base of the lower bumper has a plurality of internal ridges in contact with the bottom closed end of the container. The internal ridges of the lower bumper are designed to deform to absorb and redirect the impact forces from contact with the object away from the container.

There is provided a packaging for a container wherein the packaging is formed from a plurality of shell pieces that are hinged together to wrap around the container. When wrapped around the container, a first shell piece is secured to a second shell piece using a two-point locking feature. The shell pieces are formed with a substantially constant wall thickness such that the packaging substantially conforms to the shape of the container. Thus, advantageously, any distinctiveness in the shape of the container is not lost when wrapped by the packaging.

A container has an inner cap inside an outer cap and an inner tub inside an outer tub. The outer cap is larger than the inner cap forming a cap cavity with an upper cap cavity and a surrounding cap cavity between the outer cap and the inner cap. Likewise, the outer tub is larger than the inner tub forming a tub cavity with a lower tub cavity and a surrounding tub cavity between the outer tub and the inner tub. An envelope for a CO.sub.2 cylinder, that includes a shell that forms a cavity for accommodating the CO.sub.2 cylinder. The envelope can be accepted by an empty-container machine for taking back reusable bottles. The shell includes at least one guide rail for guiding the CO.sub.2 cylinder into the cavity in a first direction.

A water bottle holder assembly for preserving freshness of bottled water includes a cylinder that can insertably receive a water bottle. The cylinder is comprised of a light impermeable material to protect the water bottle from ultraviolet radiation thereby preserving freshness of water in the water bottle. A lid is movably attached to the cylinder for closing the cylinder. The lid is comprised of a rigid material and the lid is comprised of a light impermeable material.

The apparatus may also include a cover at least partially surrounding the container. The cover may include a labeling region selectively positionable to expose a label of the plurality of labels.
