Positional lock for foot pedals of an elliptical exercise machine
09604099 · 2017-03-28 · ·

An elliptical exercise machine includes a first foot pedal and a second foot pedal attached to a frame to travel along reciprocating paths. A resistance mechanism is also integrated into the elliptical exercise machine to resist movement of the first and second foot pedals along the reciprocating paths. A locking mechanism is arranged to secure the first and second foot pedals in place and prevent them from moving when the locking mechanism is in a secured mode. The locking mechanism is in communication with a locking input mechanism and is arranged to switch between the secured mode and an operational mode that allows the first and second foot pedals to travel in response to user input received through the locking input mechanism.

Permissions-based alarm system and method

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a permissions-based alarm system for use in climbing environment. The permissions-based alarm system includes an identification device storing a permission setting relating to an aspect of the climbing environment and a detection module in communication with the identification device. The detection module detects the permission setting stored on the identification device and detects proximity of the identification device to an area restricted by the permission setting. When the identification device enters the restricted area of the climbing environment, an alert is provided.

Deployable slackline

Deployable slackline systems are disclosed which can support a slackline at a desired height and nominal tension. The disclosed systems may maintain one or more slacklines and can adjust height and tension of individual slacklines while the slacklines are in use. The disclosed slackline systems are stowable; tensioning and termination assemblies of the slackline system can each fold into a compact housing having a height substantially less than a vertical range of motion of the slackline. The disclosed slackline systems can be implemented in aquatic or non-aquatic performance environments such as on cruise ships or other hospitality settings.

Method and system utilizing a golf shot API proxy

A method and system for providing shot tracking data to a client device is disclosed herein. The system includes multiple golf ball tracking sensors positioned at multiple golf driving ranges, multiple shot application programming interfaces (API), and a shot API proxy. Each of the shot APIs is configured to receive shot data from each of the golf ball tracking sensors at a corresponding golf driving range venue such as a TOPGOLF entertainment venue.

Method for managing the use of an exercise machine by multiple users for performing physical exercises and exercise machine implementing such a method

A method for managing the use of an exercise machine by multiple users for performing physical exercises involves obtaining, following an authentication procedure by a first user, a code identifying the first user and information representative of the first user; storing the obtained code identifying the first user and information representative of the first user; obtaining, following an authentication procedure performed by at least one second user, a code identifying the at least one second user and information representative of the second user; storing the obtained code identifying the at least one second user and information representative of the at least one second user; and setting the exercise machine, following a selection of either the first user or the at least one second user for performing the respective physical exercise, based on either the code identifying the first user or the code identifying the at least one second user.

TIMELINE AND MEDIA CONTROLLER FOR EXERCISE MACHINE

A program is presented to a user including a stream of content including a first auditory content and a first visual content related to the workout. A context state of the user participating in the workout is determined based on information from a sensor. A responsive content is selectively added based on the context state of the user to the stream of content in a manner that avoids conflict with the stream of content.

Controlling access to a stationary exercise machine
12579234 · 2026-03-17 · ·

In one aspect of the disclosure, a method may include establishing one or more authorized users of a stationary exercise machine having one or more moveable members, automatically locking the one or more moveable members of the stationary exercise machine, and receiving a request to perform a workout on the stationary exercise machine. In response to the receiving of the request to perform the workout on the stationary exercise machine, the method may include automatically determining whether any of the one or more authorized users is proximate to the stationary exercise machine. In response to automatically determining that one of the one or more authorized users is proximate to the stationary exercise machine, the method may include automatically unlocking the one or more moveable members of the stationary exercise machine to enable the workout to be performed on the stationary exercise machine.

Intelligent weightlifting rack

An intelligent weightlifting apparatus includes a frame including vertically oriented members and safety rails that are selectively moveable up and down relative to the vertically oriented members. The apparatus includes a position sensor that is configured to detect a position of a barbell. The apparatus includes a computer that is configured to control movement of the safety rails based on data from the position sensor such that a predefined distance is maintained between the safety rails and the barbell during a free weight exercise.
