The first side extension is configured to extend around the first side panel and to secure to the rear panel when the second end portion is secured to the front panel.

Protective tape includes a first portion configured to removably adhere to the top panel and an additional portion configured to extend across and removably adhere to a side panel to secure the top panel atop the carrying volume for mailing. After mailing, the protective tape is removed to expose the package within the carrying volume and the secondary item in the storage compartment to a mail recipient.

After mailing, the protective tape is removed to expose the package within the carrying volume and the secondary item in the storage compartment to a mail recipient.
