Critical power adaptive training with varying parameters
An adaptive training system can determine a finite work capacity and critical power and use those determinations to generate an adaptive training programs for workout parameters. To determining a finite work capacity and critical power, the adaptive training system can receive workout data; generate data points by determining, for each workout, a maximum amount of work done for each of multiple time window sizes; fit these workout data points to a function; and determine a critical power and finite work capacity based on the fitted function. Once the adaptive training system has determined a critical power and finite work capacity, the adaptive training system can use them to generate an adaptive training program by keeping a function defined by a set of workout parameters below an ability function that is based on the critical power and finite work capacity.
Health promotion system using wireless and ropeless jump rope apparatus
There is provided a health promotion system using a wireless and ropeless jump rope. When a plurality of users use a plurality of wireless and ropeless jump rope apparatuses, each wireless and ropeless jump rope apparatus transmits each user's weight, the number of jumps made by the user and the time of using the wireless and ropeless jump rope to an external health promotion server. The health promotion server analyzes the user's weight, the number of jumps made by the user and the time of using the wireless and ropeless jump rope as transmitted and provides an instructor with the information of the number of jumps made by the user and the analyzed health-relevant data. The instructor who receives the information of the number of jumps made by the user and the analyzed health-relevant data is able to improve the health of the user.
ADJUSTABLE TRANSVERSE RESISTANCE EXERCISE MACHINE
An adjustably-tensioned, transverse-suspended elastic element exercise device is disclosed. The transverse element is suspended between frame elements sized so as to enable full range of motion exercises. The tension and height of the elastic member can be adjusted so as to accommodate varying exercise levels and positions. The assembly may include handgrips and attachments to augment workouts. Electronic adjustability, metrics, programmability and Internet connectivity enhance the user experience. A method of using the device is also disclosed.
Treadmill
A computerized treadmill is provided. The treadmill deck may be fully suspended by a plurality of air suspension elements, such as bellows. The bellows may be pressurized by a computer-controlled compressor feeding a central air reservoir to which each bellows is connected via air hose. The bellows may be dampened to control expansion. A double hinge connecting the deck with frame may control lateral movement and reduce lateral load on the bellows. Incline and decline mechanisms facilitate a variety of deck angles. Control of the treadmill may be by computer, whether integrated or modular, whether traditional, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Control of the treadmill and conveyance of information associated with treadmill operation may be integrated with computer or smart phone applications, whether dedicated or third party.
Coordinated Weight Selection
A free weight assembly includes a cradle, an aerobic exercise element that is movable with respect to the cradle during the performance of an exercise, at least one free weight removable from the cradle, an input in communication with a processor that determines a time to instruct a user to remove the free weight, and an indicator that activates when the time to remove the free weight arrives.
Treadmill with Removable Supports
A treadmill includes a platform where the platform includes a first side panel and a second side panel spaced apart at a distance from the first side panel, and a gap defined between the first side panel and the second side panel. The treadmill also includes a running deck contained within the platform and exposed within the gap, a first pulley connected to the running deck, a second pulley connected to the running deck opposite the first pulley, a tread belt surrounding the first pulley and the second pulley, a first post removably connected to the platform, a second post removably connected to the platform, and a first rail transversely connected to the first post and the second post.
Locking device for recumbent stepper
A locking device for an exercise system may include at least one moveable assembly that is in communication with a resistance mechanism. The locking device has an actuating device for selectively engaging the locking device, a locking member having a contact portion, wherein the contact portion of the locking member is not in contact with the resistance mechanism of the exercise system when the actuating device is in a first position, thereby allowing movement of the at least one moveable assembly, and wherein the contact portion of the locking member is in contact with the resistance mechanism of the exercise system when the actuating device is in a second position, thereby preventing movement of the at least one moveable assembly.
Balance training system and control method for balance training system
A balance training system includes a moving carriage that moves on a moving surface, and a detection unit that detects a load received from training person's feet, and drives a driving unit based on the load's center of gravity of the feet to control movement of the moving carriage. A boarding plate is divided into a front plate on which a toe side of the feet is placed and a rear plate on which a heel side of the feet is placed. The detection unit includes right and left front load sensors, respectively provided with tilts to right and left foot sides, on a rear surface side opposite to the boarding surface of the front plate, and right and left rear load sensors, respectively provided with tilts to the right and left foot sides, on a rear surface side opposite to the boarding surface of the rear plate.
ROWING
Among other things, a rowing technology includes a first rowing machine having an electromagnetic brake providing a resistance to a rower of the machine in each rowing stroke of a series of rowing strokes of the rower An electronic controller causes the resistance of the electromagnetic brake to vary over each rowing stroke in a profile that emulates resistance to which another rower in a shell on water or on a second rowing machine is subjected in each rowing stroke of a corresponding series of rowing strokes.
A PLAYGROUND INTERACTIVE GAMING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a playground interactive gaming system which integrates physical playground play with interactive computerized gaming, thus attracting children of all ages to enjoy healthy outdoor physical activity while playing a single-player or multi-player video game.
