The hybrid plug is a single component replacement for three components, the paint plug, conventional plug and capseal in a drum closure. It is formed from a single sheet of metal and has a plug portion and a capseal portion which vary in thickness. The plug portion has a collar and an externally threaded wall with a plug gasket disposed on a plug gasket seat. The capseal portion is provided with ears and scoring to enable separation from the plug portion and with a lining on the inner wall of the capseal portion to safeguard against plug gasket failure. The capseal portion may be recessed at intervals to form dimples which hold the hybrid plug in place in an automated insertion process. The hybrid plug provides a passage for air and gases during paint curing and leak testing without necessitating removal.

Described is a closing cap (1) for a container (2), which comprises a lateral wall (3) extending about an axis (Z) and a transversal wall (4) positioned at an end of the lateral wall (3), a separation line (5) being provided on the lateral wall (3) to form a retaining ring (301), which is configured to remain anchored to a neck (201) of the container (2) and extends up to a free edge (304), and a closing element (302) removably engageable with the neck (201), so as to open or close the container (2). The separation line (5) extends about the axis (Z) and is circumferentially interrupted to form in the lateral wall (3) a joining zone (305), which extends for a first angle (a), in which the retaining ring (301) and the closing element (302) are joined. The cap (1) comprises a tab (308), made in the joining zone (305), which extends circumferentially for a second angle (β) and is connected to the joining zone (305); the retaining ring (301) comprising a retaining portion (303) and a free portion (306), wherein the retaining portion (303) comprises an engaging element configured to engage internally with a locking ring (202) of the neck (201) during a passage from a closed condition to an open condition of the closing element (302), and wherein the free portion (306) comprises a movement element which extends circumferentially at least in the second angle (β) and is configured, during said passage, to allow a movement of the free portion (306) along an axis parallel to the axis (Z).

Venting Closure Liner

A closure having a liner is provided. The liner forms one or more venting recesses that facilitate relieving pressure from a container to which the closure is affixed. In embodiments the liner extends from an outer surface of an annular wall through an outer disc of the liner.

MULTIPLE ASYMMETRIC ANCHOR CONTAINER CLOSURE

An apparatus and methods are provided for a container closure for sealing contents within an interior of a container. The container closure comprises a closure portion coupled to a tamper evidence band by a plurality of anchors. The closure portion threadably engages a finish portion of the container and seals contents in the interior of the container. The anchors keep the tamper evidence band coupled with the closure portion. Multiple thin connections are arranged at various intervals around the circumference of the tamper evidence band and between adjacent anchors. The thin connections break apart when the closure portion is untightened from the finish portion, providing an observational indication that the container closure has been unsealed from the finish portion after having been installed by a manufacturer. The anchors remain unbroken and cause the tamper evidence band to remain attached to the closure portion upon being removed from the finish portion.

Cap for a container, and a combination of a cap and of a container neck

A cap for a container comprises: a retaining ring intended to remain associated with a neck of the container; a closing element movable between a closed position and an open position; at least one connecting band for keeping the closing element connected to the retaining ring even in the open position. The retaining ring comprises engaging members suitable for engaging with the neck in order to prevent the retaining ring from being pulled off the neck. The engaging members comprise first engaging elements and second engaging elements which extend towards the inside of the retaining ring. The first engaging elements have a shape different from the second engaging elements, so as to be in contact with the neck in the open position, in order to obstruct rotation of the retaining ring around the neck.

Apparatus and method(s) according to which a first container lid is sealingly engaged against a container body. Once so sealingly engaged, the container body is stacked onto a second container lid so that a first three-dimensional profile of the second container lid matingly receives a second three-dimensional profile of the container body, which second three-dimensional profile is located at an end portion of the container body opposite the first container lid. In one or more embodiments, the second container lid is identical to the first container lid. In one or more embodiments, the stackable containers have respective detachable and re-attachable container lids. In one or more embodiments, each container body and its corresponding detachable and re-attachable lid are both made of recyclable plastic.

CONTAINER CLOSURE OF SYNTHETIC RESIN

A container closure of synthetic resin is used for a container having a mouth-and-neck portion formed with an external thread on its outer periphery and an engaging jaw portion positioned below the external thread. The closure including a body and a tamper evident skirt portion is not entirely separated from the mouth-and-neck portion of the container even after unsealing the container at the mouth-and-neck portion. The container closure is improved such that the body is held sufficiently reliably at a required opening position when the body detached from the mouth-and-neck portion is pivoted to the opening position even if the container closure has a relatively short axial length. Furthermore, when the body is pivoted again to the opening position, a sound recognizable for a consumer is generated with sufficient certainty. At least in an angle region in which a protruding piece formed on the skirt wall of the body is present, an extending portion is formed at an engaging piece formed on the tamper evident skirt portion. In a state where the container closure of synthetic resin is mounted on the mouth-and-neck portion, the extending portion is positioned between the engaging jaw portion of the mouth-and-neck portion and the tamper evident skirt portion.
