CHILD-RESISTANT CONTAINERS
20170158397 · 2017-06-08 ·

The present disclosure is directed to a child-resistant container which includes a lid having a peripheral flange which defines a lifting tab having top and bottom surfaces. The lid includes a protrusion extending downwardly from the bottom surface of the lifting tab. The container includes a base having an upper peripheral rim and a surface formed in a corner portion of the base between two adjacent sides of the base. The surface includes an aperture to receive the downwardly extending protrusion of the lid when the container is closed forming a child-resistant opening mechanism. The surface is uninterrupted but for the aperture.

Tamper evident closure

A tamper evident closure employs a frangible tamper evident finger for initially retaining a lid in a closed position relative to a closure body. In response to an initial opening of the lid, the finger is separated from the lid and retained in a volume at least partly defined by the closure body. As the finger is connected to the lid by a frangible bridge in a confirmation window, upon separation of the finger from the lid, the now open confirmation window provides immediate and ready indication that the lid has been opened.

A child-resistant container includes a lid and a base. The lid includes a peripheral flange that defines a lifting tab. The base includes an upper peripheral rim. A skirt extends downwardly from the upper peripheral rim to a lower edge thereof. A bend line extends between two adjacent sides of the base to define a corner portion of the base that accommodates the lifting tab when the container is closed forming a child-resistant opening mechanism. The bend line facilitates bending of the corner portion of the base to gain access to the lifting tab.

LIGHTWEIGHT PLASTIC CONTAINER AND PREFORM
20170121048 · 2017-05-04 ·

A plastic container is provided that includes a lower supporting base portion; a sidewall portion extending upwardly from the base portion; a neck portion extending upwardly from the sidewall portion; and a closure. The neck portion includes a support flange having an upper and lower surface, threads, a tamper-evident formation, and a dispensing opening at the top of the neck portion. In an embodiment, the weight of the neck portion is 3.0 grams or less; and the vertical distance from the top of the dispensing opening to the lower surface of the support flange, including the threads and the tamper-evident formation, is 0.580 inches or less. A preform and method for making a container are also disclosed.

Closure

Described is a closure adapted to be fit on top of containers such as bottles. In various embodiments, the closure may include an outer skirt and an inner skirt. The closure may be engageable with a container neck. In some embodiments, a region of weakness may be adapted to break and/or deform upon an attempt to remove the closure from the container neck. In some embodiments, after the break and/or deformation, the closure may no longer be engageable with the container neck.

Container seal with removal tab and security ring seal

A holographic sealing member for a container comprises a heat actuated sealant or adhesive layer that secures the sealing member to a container, a metal foil sealing layer over and covering and adhesively bonded to the heat actuated sealant or adhesive layer, a holographic layer over and covering and adhesively bonding to the metal foil layer having an upper plastic layer and a lower embossed image layer, and a tab over and covering and adhesively bonded to the upper plastic layer that may be pulled to remove the tab and the plastic layer from a container, thereby exposing the lower embossed image layer which must then be perforated to gain access to the contents of the container.

Tamper evident container

A tamper evident and resistant container includes a tray, a cover and a hinge extending from the cover and tray defining a hinge axis about which the tray and cover relatively rotate between a closed position and an opened position. The container further includes a first tab provided on one of the cover or the tray and at least partially defined by a line of weakness. When the cover is in the closed position, a user may pull the first tab to tear the hinge to separate the cover from the tray, wherein the line of weakness at least partially defining the first tab is configured to tear when the first tab is pulled to tear the hinge to separate the cover from the tray.

LIGHTWEIGHT PLASTIC CONTAINER AND PREFORM

A plastic preform is provided that includes a closed bottom portion; a lower portion extending upwardly from the bottom portion; and a neck portion extending upwardly from the lower portion. A container and method for making a container are also disclosed.

Tamper-evident camera enclosure

A housing for an instrument such as an endoscopic camera head is provided. The housing includes at least two parts which are attachable to each other by using tabs and grooves, creating a sealed and tamper-evident housing without the use of externally exposed fasteners. A tool for attaching the two parts and a method of its use are also provided.

CONTAINER

A container (210) for holding granular or powdered material and formed by a top wall (212), a bottom wall (214), a front wall (216), a rear wall (218), a first side wall (220), and a second side wall (222). A rotatably removable lid (D) is interiorly mounted with a scoop (32) and is pivotally hinged to a collar (300) that includes a sealing gasket (330). The collar (300) mounts to the walls of the container (210). A sealing wall 240 of the lid (D) cooperates with the gasket 300 to prevent the contents from spilling. The container (210) incorporates powder control features, a container wall junction (50) preferred geometry and congruent scoop (32) enabling convenient access to the contents, a tolerance variation accommodating and strength improving, J-shaped collar (300) and interlocking indentations (290) and flex clips (310), and a pressure controlling portion (350) that prevents unwanted deformation due to pressure differentials.
