MOVEMENT TRAINING APPARATUS
An apparatus for movement training, and more specifically, an apparatus for movement and function training of the hand and arm and particularly for use in rehabilitation of the hand following a stroke or other neurological or physical impairments. The invention extends to a corresponding system, method, and kit of parts.
THERAPY AND PHYSICAL TRAINING DEVICE
A therapy and physical training system, comprising one or more movement sensors each of which positioned on a corresponding body part of a user, a first computer on a processor of which an application is running and a head mounted housing which is configured with a display on which images generated by the first computer are visible to the user. The application is configured to receive inputs from each of the sensors or from a second computer in data communication with each of the sensors, the application also configured to generate, in response to a real-time disposition of each of the corresponding body parts during performance of an exercise related body movement, a virtual reality object viewable by the user, the object being indicative of an additional body movement to be made by the user in order to conform with a user-specific exercise program.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR EXERCISING AN ANKLE, FOOT, AND/OR LEG
An exercise device includes a foot support portion pivotably connected to a leg support portion and having a neutral position relative to a pivot axis. The support portion is configured to rotate about the neutral pivot axis in a first direction away from the neutral position and in a second direction away from the neutral position. The second direction is opposite the first direction. The exercise device also includes a resistance mechanism configured to exert a force on the foot support portion about the pivot axis opposite to the respective first and second directions of rotation of the foot support portion about the pivot axis.
Augmented extended realm system
A machine implemented method for simulated sports training includes the steps displaying a simulated environment having one or more virtual objects of a sporting event; displaying to a user a moving object in the simulated environment in accordance with object path data representing an object path and conditions of motion of the moving object as a function of time; correlating soundscape data to the object path data, the soundscape data being dependent on both object path of the moving object in the object path and the conditions of motion; and outputting sound to the user based on the correlated soundscape data either before or during displaying to the user the moving object, thereby providing spatial auditory clues for assisting tracking eye movements of the user to train the user to anticipate or recognize a trajectory of the moving object.
Blockchain
An Internet of Thing (IoT) device includes a transceiver coupled to a processor. Blockchain smart contracts can be used with the device to facilitate secure operation.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PELVIC FLOOR TRAINING
A device for training pelvic floor muscles comprises a rigid housing for a user to sit on, comprising a ridge with an opening facing the pelvic floor muscles of the user sitting on it, a beam arranged in the housing, being flush with or protruding from or facing the opening in the ridge, adapted to couple to an activity of the pelvic floor muscles of the user, and a sensor for sensing a movement of and/or a force exerted on the beam. A further aspect of the invention concerns a method for training pelvic floor muscles of a user, in particular being performed using the device.
TONING GARMENT WITH MODULAR RESISTANCE UNIT DOCKING PLATFORMS
Disclosed is a technical training garment configured for use with modular, interchangeable electronics and resistance modules. The garment provides resistance to movement throughout an angular range of motion and tracks biomechanical parameters such as stride length, stride rate, angular velocity and incremental power expended by the wearer. The garment may be low profile, and worn by a wearer as a primary garment or beneath or over conventional clothing. Alternatively, the device may be worn as a supplemental training tool during conventional training protocols.
Multi-axis adjustable exercise machine
A multi-axis adjustable exercise machine which is pivotable about both a pitch axis and a roll axis with respect to a base for allowing an exerciser to perform a wide range of exercises on a pitched or rolled exercise machine. The multi-axis adjustable exercise machine generally includes an exercise machine which is adjustable with respect to a base. The exercise machine may be pivoted about a roll axis to adjust the roll angle of the exercise machine or may be pivoted about a pitch axis to adjust the pitch angle of the exercise machine. One or more actuators may be connected between the base and the exercise machine to effectuate the pivoting of the exercise machine about either or both axes with respect to the base.
Soft exosuit for assistance with human motion
A motion control system includes an actuator having an actuation member, the actuation member having a proximal end attached to the actuator on a first side of a joint and a distal end attached to an anchor element attachment point on a second side of the joint. A first sensor is configured to output signals defining a gait cycle and a second sensor is configured to output signals representing a tensile force in the at least one actuation member. A controller receives the output signals from the sensors and actuates the actuator, during a first portion of the gait cycle, to apply a force greater than a predetermined threshold tensile force to the anchor element attachment point via the actuation member to generate a beneficial moment about the joint and to automatically actuate the actuator.
