A receptacle for storing, pressurizing, and dispensing packaged beverages. The receptacle includes an airtight chamber with a removable lid, wherein the joint between the lid and the chamber is also airtight. A gas valve allows for the inflow and outflow of gas, and a tap port and tap stem allow the beverage to be dispensed without breaking the seal of the chamber. A pressure relief valve allows for more rapid depressurization. The chamber can be used at high and low pressures, such as a partial vacuum, to prevent oxidation of a number of open beverages, such as beers, wines, and sodas. A pressure gauge port coupled with an optional pressure gauge allows a user to verify the appropriate pressure for the type of beverage being preserved. The gas valve may be disposed on a base of the receptacle, as may the pressure relief and/or the pressure gauge port.

A closure for a lid that has at least one opening may include an activator pivotally coupled to the lid, a cover pivotally coupled to the lid, and a connecting member pivotally coupled to the activator and the cover. The activator, the cover and the connecting member may form an over center latching mechanism. In addition, the activator may be pivotally connected to the lid about a first axis of rotation, the cover may be pivotally connected to the lid about a second axis of rotation, the connecting member may pivotally connected to the activator about a third axis of rotation, and the connecting member may be pivotally connected to the cover about a fourth axis of rotation. The distance between the first and second axes of rotation may be constant, and the distance between the third and fourth axes of rotation may change as the cover is moved.

CONTAINER
20180194553 · 2018-07-12 ·

A container (10) comprises a base (41), side panels (40) and a cover (30). The side panels (40) are connected to the base (41). The cover (30) is locked onto the tops of the side panels (40) through a locking device. The locking device comprises automatic locks (50) and manual locks (60). The automatic locks (50) are arranged on two opposite sides of the cover (30), and the manual locks (60) are arranged on the other two sides of the cover. The automatic locks (50) and the manual locks (60) are both adopted on the cover (30) and used in cooperation with a tilting-pre-vention device, thus the container (10) has the tilting-pre-vention effect, the stacking and supporting effect, and the locking and unlocking guiding and return guiding effect. The locking strength is increased, and the convenience in locking operation and unlocking operation is improved.

Portable Beverage Container with a Robust and Easily Cleanable Seal Mechanism
20180192800 · 2018-07-12 ·

A portable beverage container includes a container body defining an interior adapted to store a liquid, and a lid assembly that includes a lid housing removably coupled to the container body and a spout coupled to the lid housing and movable between a stowed configuration and a dispensing configuration, the spout defining a fluid passageway in selective fluid communication with the interior of the container body. The lid assembly also includes a seal housing carrying a sealing element, the seal housing movably coupled to the lid housing between an in-use position, wherein the seal housing engages the spout such that the sealing element controls fluid flow through the fluid passageway of the spout, and a cleaning position, wherein the seal housing is spaced from the spout to permit cleaning of the sealing element.

Plastic container with flexible base portion

Plastic container (110), including a side wall (120) and a flexible portion (132) of a base (130). The flexible portion of the base deflects when the sealed plastic container experiences a differential pressure. The deflection of the flexible portion of the base acts to change the internal volume of the container and thereby reduce the differential pressure. The container is a retortable container. The container may be injection-molded with inner and outer plastic layers (460,462) and a core layer (464) between the inner and outer plastic layers.
