METHOD FOR SEALINGLY CLOSING A BOTTLE AND ASSOCIATED SEALINGLY CLOSED BOTTLE
20170121163 · 2017-05-04 ·

A method for sealingly closing a bottle (1) is described, the method comprising the steps of: providing a cage (1009, a closing stopper (200) and a capsule (300); joining the stopper to the cage and the cage to the capsule (300), obtaining a preassembled closing assembly; aligning the closing assembly on the mouth of the bottle and exerting a pressure so as to sealingly close the bottle, wherein the annular relief of the cage (100) comes into contact with the bottle before the stopper comes into contact with the bottle.

A reusable sealing bottle cap assembly comprises a cap for placement onto the mouth of a bottle and an annular ring. The cap comprises an enclosed upper portion for enclosing the open mouth of the bottle, a circumferential area or recess adjacent to the enclosed upper portion of the cap, an extended ledge, and a circumferential lip on the underside of the cap for placement of the cap into the inner edge of the mouth of the bottle. The annular ring is receivable around the circumferential area of the cap for securing and sealing the cap onto the open mouth of the bottle. The annular ring comprises an outer flexible material and an inner rigid material. The cap and annular ring may be separate pieces or connected by a strap. The bottle cap assembly may be made of plastic resins; metals; silicones; bio-degradable materials; and/or oxygen absorbing materials.

SECURITY SEAL FOR MEDICAL STERILE CONTAINER
20170001770 · 2017-01-05 ·

A security seal for a medical container includes a seal foot having at least one latch structure movable relative thereto for engaging a mating latch structure formed on the container, and a seal head connected with the seal foot that includes at least one locking tab which is movably connected with the seal head through a hinge element, wherein the security seal includes a bolt element which can be positioned between a release position, in which the latch structure can be moved relative to the seal foot, and a locked position, in which the deformable latch structure is fixed in position relative to the seal foot and/or seal head.

Tamper-indicating device having robotic application features

A tamper-indicating assembly for a drum enclosure assembly is provided. The tamper-indicating assembly includes a tamper-indicating device that defines a cavity sized to receive and surround at least a portion of the closure bolt, the first flanged end, and the second flanged end to prevent movement of the closure bolt. A tab extends radially outward from the tamper-indicating device with respect to an axial centerline of the tamper-indicating assembly. The tamper-indicating assembly further includes a pin non-removably coupled to the tamper-indicating device. The pin extends through the tamper-indicating device and across the cavity such that the tamper-indicating device and the pin collectively surround the closure bolt. The exemplary tamper-indicating device described herein includes features that facilitate the robotic application of the tamper-indicating device to a drum enclosure.

Closure system and kit

A closure system for closing a container opening is disclosed that includes a stopper member, a cage member and a lock activation formation. The stopper member includes a plug portion to fit into the container opening and a cover portion to abut a boundary surface of the container opening. In the assembled state of the closure system, the plug portion is fitted into the container opening, the cover portion abuts the boundary surface, and the cage member is mounted to the container. The cage member has a locking structure that in a detached position is disengaged from the container, and in a fixed position engages a corresponding structure of the container. The lock activation formation is configured to interact with the cage member such that the cage member changes from the detached position to the fixed position.
