PROBIOTIC CANNING SYSTEM
A canning system for a jar is described. The system includes a plunger configured to translate through a neck of the jar. A seal is in communication with the plunger and configured to flex its shape so as to conform to the size of the jar as it passes through the neck. The seal extending beyond the periphery of the plunger. A rod is configured to engage the plunger and selectively locate the position of the plunger within the jar. An optional cap may be used to assist in locating the plunger in the jar prior to sealing the jar with a lid.
STORAGE CONTAINERS
Filtered storage containers for hazardous waste, such as radioactive waste, more particularly plutonium in the form of oxides and salts, are made of stainless steel and include lids which are retained by retaining rings that utilize bayonet or ratchet closures that cooperate with rims that are integral with cans to hold the lids in place. Sealing arrangements are provided that each include an O-ring of a circular cross section which seals radially between the lid and rim, as well as a seal of cruciform cross section, which seal provides compression sealing between the lid and an annular shelf within the rim upon locking the retaining ring to the rim with the bayonet or ratchet fitting.
MASON JAR VALVED-LID COMPONENT AND KIT FOR USE IN FERMENTATION
The present disclosure is directed to a lid component for use with a jar and a band. The jar and band may be a mason jar and a band for a mason jar. The lid component is made of an air-impermeable material and is dimensioned and configured to be releasably attachable to the jar by the band and to seal a wide mouth opening of the jar in an air-tight manner. The lid component comprises a one-way valve adapted to allow gas to escape from the jar while, at the same time, prevent air from entering the jar, when the lid component is releasably attached to the jar. The one-way valve comprises a bottom opening and a protruding top wall. The lid component further comprises a sealing wall that extends radially outwardly from the bottom opening. The sealing wall is substantially flat.
Container with a screw cap
A container, preferably in the form of a bucket, includes a closure for closing the container. The closure includes a closed lid plate that is placeable on a container rim bounding a container opening in order to cover the container opening. A lock ring is placeable over the lid plate and screwable to the container. The lid plate is fixable to the container with the lock ring. A seal ring is arranged between the container rim and lid plate for sealing the container opening. The lid plate has a rim portion with a receiving portion, in particular U-shaped, that receives the container rim and encompasses the container rim radially from the inside and outside.
Split ring closure assembly
The present application is directed to closure assemblies, and particularly closure assemblies for closing an opening in a vessel. In particular embodiments, the closure assemblies described herein can have a first ring having a top surface, an inner surface and an outer surface, wherein the outer surface comprises threading, wherein the first ring comprises a first flange having a top surface extending radially inward from the inner surface of the first ring a distance of F.sub.L, and wherein the top surface of the first flange is spaced apart from the top surface of the first ring by a distance F.sub.H, and wherein a ratio of F.sub.H:F.sub.L is greater than 1.
Mason Jar Lid
A two-piece mason jar lid is described, with said mason jar lid capable of being secured to a mason jar in the typical manner using a threaded band or ring. The two-piece mason jar lid includes an annular lid component and a circular lid component that can be rotatably disposed within the annular lid component. Indicia and indicators disposed on the annular lid component and circular lid component work in cooperation, such that rotation of the circular lid component causes the indicator to be aligned with the desired indicia, to, for example, indicate a date upon which fermentation within the mason jar may be complete. The annular lid component or circular lid component can also include one or more venting channels to permit venting of fermentation gases, while preventing air from entering the mason jar.
Coated metal closures
A metal closure (1) comprising a panel (10) and a depending side wall (14) terminating in a cut edge (15), the inner surface of the closure having a plurality of coating layers applied (21-27) such that at least one of the coating layers extends to the cut edge and the coating thickness at and in proximity to the cut edge is less than the thickness at one or more other regions of the inner surface.
Container with a reusable cap
A container with a reusable cap, including a glass receptacle (10) with a receptacle opening (11) surrounded by an annular mouth (12) and by a cylindrical neck (13) including a retention configuration; a cap (20) including a closing portion (30) completely covering the receptacle opening (11) and an engagement portion (40) made of a metal sheet; a releasable closure mechanism connecting the engagement portion (40) with the retention configurations and a sealing ring (50), the engagement portion including radial protrusions (41), directed inwards and determining a local narrowing, the sealing ring (50) being not adhered to the cap and being retained within the cap (20).

Container closure with a sealing element
A vessel closure (1, 21, 41, 61) includes a sealing element (3, 23, 43, 63). The sealing element (3, 23, 43, 63) includes a polymer composition. The polymer composition includes a polysiphaolefin with kinematic viscosity, determined according to ASTM D445/ISO 3104, of at least 4 cSt, at a temperature of 100 C., and/or a dropping point, determined according to ASTM 5950, of at most 10 C., and up to 95% by weight of a second polyolefin.
