A composite container having a paperboard hollow body with top and bottom open ends. The body is formed by a sidewall with inner and outer surfaces. The composite container includes a body liner extending peripherally about the inner surface of the body and a base connectable to the bottom open end of the hollow body. The base includes a sidewall sized and shaped to fit snugly within the bottom open end of the body. The sidewall is permanently coupled to a bottom portion of the liner. The composite container also includes a collar connectable to the top open end of the hollow body. The collar has a peripheral portion that abuts the top open end and an inner circumferential flange sized and shaped to fit snugly within the top open end of the body. The inner circumferential flange is permanently coupled to a top portion of the liner. The peripheral portion has regions of weakened strength so that the section of the peripheral portion that abuts the top open end can be removed, thereby allowing a user to rapidly remove the coupled collar, liner and base from the hollow body.

A container (200) is provided. The container (200) comprises a mouth (202), a cap (204) for operably exposing or closing the mouth (202), a sealing layer (206) on top of the mouth (202) and a security label (208) which is scannable. At least a portion (204a) of the cap (204) is transparent. The security label (208) is disposed over the sealing layer (206) below the transparent cap (204) and the security label (208) is machine scannable.

A container (200) is provided. The container (200) comprises a mouth (202), a cap (204) for operably exposing or closing the mouth (202), a sealing layer (206) on top of the mouth (202) and a security label (208) which is scannable. At least a portion (204a) of the cap (204) is transparent. The security label (208) is disposed over the sealing layer (206) below the transparent cap (204) and the security label (208) is machine scannable.

A package with an aroma detection feature. The package is an air tight container that includes a primary passageway container aperture and a secondary container aperture. The primary container aperture is a standard closure device for allowing a person to have access to the material stored within the container. The secondary aperture includes an air tight closure that can be opened by a user to have access to the aroma of the material contained within the container and then closed again in an air tight manner. The secondary container aperture includes a push button that when pushed by a user allows access to the aroma of the material contained in the container and when the button is released the secondary aperture returns to an air tight closed position.

A secure container cover for a container and manufacturing method therefore are provided. The secure container cover includes an integrally molded body with an annular structure and a side wall. The annular structure includes a central void defined by an intermediate perimeter, and a graspable loop integrally formed with the annular structure is configured to reside within the central void. A tear initiation point is formed where the graspable loop joins the annular structure. A thin section extends from the tear initiation point to a bottom edge of the side wall. The graspable loop is detachably connected to the annular structure at a bridging section. The bridging section is configured to break when an upward biasing force is applied to the graspable loop, and the side wall is configured to separate along the thin section when the graspable loop is pulled away from the body of the secure container cover.

A secure container cover for a container and manufacturing method therefore are provided. The secure container cover includes an integrally molded body with an annular structure and a side wall. The annular structure includes a central void defined by an intermediate perimeter, and a graspable loop integrally formed with the annular structure is configured to reside within the central void. A container (210) for holding granular or powdered material and formed by a top wall (212), a bottom wall (214), a front wall (216), a rear wall (218), a first side wall (220), and a second side wall (222). A rotatably removable lid (D) is interiorly mounted with a scoop (32) and is pivotally hinged to a collar (300) that includes a sealing gasket (330). The collar (300) mounts to the walls of the container (210). A sealing wall 240 of the lid (D) cooperates with the gasket 300 to prevent the contents from spilling. The container (210) incorporates powder control features, a container wall junction (50) preferred geometry and congruent scoop (32) enabling convenient access to the contents, a tolerance variation accommodating and strength improving, J-shaped collar (300) and interlocking indentations (290) and flex clips (310), and a pressure controlling portion (350) that prevents unwanted deformation due to pressure differentials.

Various enhancements of tabbed seals are provided herein with enhanced grasping functionality. Such enhancements include an oversized tab structure for increasing the overall surface area of the tab. In some forms, the tab has been configured such that the overall gripping tab is larger, but a portion thereof is temporarily adhered to the lower laminate, such as during seal and/or cap installation. Instead, the gripping tab includes a small free portion and then a second, temporarily bonded portion that can either release or rupture, permitting the overall grippable portion of the tab to be large.
