Sealing membrane with pull-tab

The invention concerns a sealing membrane (2) for a container (5), said membrane (2) having an edge region (4) intended to be secured around an opening (5a) of the container (5) such as to form a sealing of the container (5), the membrane (2) comprising a pull-tab (1) extending from a portion of the edge region (4) such as to facilitate simplified release of the membrane (2). The invention is characterized in 12 that the pull-tab (1) comprises a stiffening structure (7) arranged in a pattern that defines an intended folding line (3) extending across the pull-tab (1). The invention also concerns a container arrangement (8) comprising a container (5) with an opening (5a) and, at least partly secured to the container (5) around the opening (5a), a sealing membrane (2) of the above type. The invention also concerns a method of manufacturing a sealing membrane (2) of the above type, wherein the method comprises the step of embossing, corrugation, creasing, folding and/or heat shaping the stiffening structure (7).

A seal for containers is provided that allows the scent or aroma from the substance within the container to come through, while preventing leakage of the substance from within the container and/or physical contact of the substance by the consumer. More particularly, a seal is provided having at least one slit scoring fewer than all of the layers of the seal. The slit(s) will allow a consumer to sniff the scent or aroma released through the slit, while the seal remains secured to the container, extending shelf life of the substance, and preventing leakage, as well as, contamination, damage and/or reduced volume caused by consumers sampling the products.

An identification system for identifying contents within a bottle. The identification system introduces a label upon a sidewall of a cap of the bottle or as a billboard extending upward from a top surface of the cap. The location improves the visibility of the indicia located on the label easing the identification process when the bottles are placed behind one another, on a shelf above eye level or any other location where the view of the content identifying indicia can potentially be obstructed from view. The label can be wrapped about the cap sidewall, adhered to the cap sidewall or be designed to include an upright billboard extending from the cap top surface. The billboard variant can transform from a planar stored configuration to an upright display configuration.

A tamper-evident seal for use with a container includes a body that is sealably coupled to a boundary defining an opening providing access into the container. The seal includes a gripping portion having a fixed end and a free end, the fixed end extending from the body, wherein the free end is sized and shaped to be gripped by a user to enable the user to forcibly disconnect at least a portion of the body from the container. The seal further includes an indicator including an indicator body, a neck portion of the indicator is removably coupled to the gripping portion, such that when the body is at least partially removed from the boundary, at least a portion of the indicator body remains connected to the body, as the gripping portion is disconnected from the indicator when the neck portion is uncoupled from the gripping portion.

Container system with a removable cap

A container and methods of manufacturing and operating the same are provided where the container has a cap that is removable yet childproof. The cap is positioned in a tubular body, and the cap has a generally smooth or continuous upper surface to reduce or eliminate surfaces or edges for a child to grasp. To operate the cap, a disc in the center of the cap is pushed below a lip, and a user grasps the lip to pull the cap from the tubular body. The force needed to press the disc away from the lip is low enough for an adult but too high for a child. Moreover, the cap forms an interference fit with the tubular body with enough friction force to prevent the cap from falling out of the tubular body but is low enough that the cap can be pulled from the tubular body.

PACKAGING CONTAINER COMPRISING A LOCKING ARRANGEMENT

A packaging container for bulk solids includes a container body, a container lid and a locking arrangement. The container body comprises a container wall that defines a container opening and an inner compartment. The container lid comprises a peripheral portion at a peripheral edge of the container lid. The container lid is joined by a hinged connection to the container body at a rear edge portion of the container opening. The locking arrangement comprises at least one locking tab permanently joined to the container body at a front edge portion of the container opening and/or at an opposing side edge portion of the container opening. The locking tab comprises a free end portion extending in the height direction. The free end portion of the locking tab comprises a first locking element arranged to mate with a second locking element arranged on the peripheral portion of the container lid.

CONTAINER WITH DISPLAY FUNCTION

The present invention provides a packaging container for bulk solids, the container comprising a container body and a container lid. The container body includes wall portions that define a container opening. The lid comprises an upper outer lid surface which includes a slanted lid surface. The upper outer lid surface and the slanted lid surface each having a projected surface in the plane of the container opening. The projected surface of the slanted lid surface constitutes from 40% to 100%, 50% to 90%, or 60% to 80% of the projected surface of the upper outer lid surface. The slanted lid surface is slanted such that when the lid is in a closed position at the container opening, a front end edge of the slanted lid surface is located lower in the height direction of the container than a rear end edge of the slanted lid surface.
