Tethered container closure
A closure for closing an opening defined by a finish of a container. The closure includes a main body and a tamper band. The tamper band is connected to the main body by a plurality of bridges. A hinge of the closure is configured to permit the main body to pivot relative to the tamper band.
Cap for Container and Packaged Product Having the Same
A cap (100) for a container (120) is provided. The cap (100) may include a skirt (102) component and a seal component (104). The skirt (102) component is formed of a metal material and includes an annular outer sidewall (103) defining a skirt cavity (123) that extends along a skirt axis and has an open bottom end (107). The seal component (104) is formed of a plastic material and includes an annular seal sidewall (111) having a threaded inner surface (108) configured to mate with a threaded outer surface of a neck of a container body (120). The annular seal sidewall (111) may define a neck cavity (113) having a closed top end (104) and an open bottom end (115) for receiving the neck of the container (124). The seal component (104) may be mounted to the skirt (102) component and/or located within the skirt cavity (123) so that the annular outer sidewall (103) of the skirt component (102) circumscribes the annular seal (111) sidewall of the seal component (104).
A DEVICE WITH DATE ARRANGEMENT
A device for use with an item having an expiration date. At least when in use, the device comprises a display area, a setting means for setting at least one date at the display area, and a locking means for permanently locking the date set at the display area. The mentioned date may be related to the expiration date and for example, may be a date of opening or first use of the item, an expiration date of the item calculated after the opening or the first use, etc.
Drink lid arrangements and methods
An apparatus can include a generally planar portion approximately in a plane. The apparatus can also include a lip portion extending in a direction generally orthogonal to the plane. The generally planar portion is joined to the lip portion at a circumferential edge of the generally planar portion to form a cover for a beverage container. Likewise, a method can include providing contact information on a disposable cover adapted to cover a beverage container. The contact information is not necessarily provided by the manufacturer of the beverage or beverage container. The method can also include receiving contact from a user of the disposable cover. The method can further include coordinating the delivery of a service to the user of the disposable cover responsive to the contact received from the user.
Devices, systems, and methods for sensing the opening of pharmaceutical bottles
A system for sensing use of a pharmaceutical bottle may include a housing, a sensing plate mechanically coupled to the housing by a flexible expansion member, an activation plate mechanically coupled to the sensing plate, an electronic contact on the housing, an electrical circuit formed by the contact on the housing and the activation plate, an indicator configured to indicate use of the pharmaceutical bottle, a user interface configured to receive user input to control the indicator, and a processor and memory with instruction that when execute by the processor cause the system to determine that the pharmaceutical bottle has been used based on a change in the electrical circuit.
Devices for tracking opening and closing of containers
Systems and devices for tracking the opening and closing of a container are provided. According to an aspect of the invention, a device includes a body that is configured to be inserted between a container and a cap that is configured to seal the container, a sensor that is configured to measure a state of the cap as being opened or closed, a microprocessor that is configured to receive a signal from the sensor that represents the state of the cap, and a transmitter that is configured to send a message that indicates the state of the cap.
Die-cut lid and associated container and method
A die-cut lid for closing a container is formed from a flexible composite sheet material. The lid comprises a functional area bearing human-readable and/or machine-readable data. One or more rigidifying indentations are provided on the lid to promote flatness of the functional area in a resting state of the lid. The one or more rigidifying indentations can be in the form of one or more encircling indentations that border the functional area; and/or a planar indentation that encompasses the functional area.
Reusable bottle cap with identification markers
Provided is a reusable container cap adapted to help identify a container belonging to a particular user or to help identify contents of a container when there are several containers similar in appearance. The reusable bottle cap includes a cap housing that encases one or more rotating dials. The dials are stacked inside of the cap housing. A visible surface of each of the dials features letters, numbers, or symbols near its outer edge. The cap housing has a cutout that allows the user to rotate the dials using his or her fingers. When the dials are rotated, a combination of letters, numbers, or symbols are displayed, enabling the user to identify his or her bottle or contents within the bottle. The present invention fits over openings and bottle caps of various sized bottles and containers.
Packaging container with preformed sealing ring
A packaging container for holding contents such as fresh food. The container comprises a tray having a flange, a pre-formed scaling ring and a flexible film for sealing in the contents of the tray. The sealing ring is made from fiber, filament or tape (“FFT”) that is shaped into a shape that matches the shape of the tray flange. The sealing ring is adhered to the tray flange by heat welding or other means and the flexible film is adhered to the sealing ring.
Cap and container
A cap configured to be detachably attached to a mouth portion of a container body having a containment space for contents and close the mouth portion, includes: a transparent or semitransparent topped tubular outer lid portion; and a topped tubular inner lid portion located in close contact with an inner side of the outer lid portion so as to be relatively non-rotatable. A retaining protrusion having an inclined surface that is inclined inward in a downward direction and extends to a lower end of the outer lid portion is provided on an inner peripheral surface of the outer lid portion. The retaining protrusion engages with a retaining depression provided on an outer peripheral surface of the inner lid portion, to suppress separation between the outer lid portion and the inner lid portion.
