INTERACTIVE RESISTANCE BAND TRAINING SYSTEMS
Interactive/smart resistance band training systems include one or more resistance bands connected to a force sensing unit that registers the force exerted by a user on handles connected to the bands. The sensing unit operates effectively regardless of whether the user is training with one handle individually, or with two handles being pulled in parallel or non-parallel directions. The systems may correct the force readings to account for non-alignment between the force-measurement axis of the force sensing unit and the directions in which the user applies force to the resistance bands. The systems may guide a user through exercise sessions tailored to the fitness level of the user; may display the force readings, calories burned, and other performance parameters and goals on a continuous, real-time basis; may summarize the result of the exercise session; and may recommend subsequent exercise sessions based on the performance of the user.
Systems and methods for minimally intrusive displays
A system includes a minimally intrusive display system (MIDS) configured to be disposed on an eyewear. The MIDS includes a display system and a sensor system configured to provide for a sensor data. The MIDS further includes a processor configured to process the sensor data to derive an activity metric. The processor is further configured to display, via the display system, the activity metric, wherein the display system is disposed in the eyewear so that the activity metric is only viewed when a user of the eyewear turns the user's pupil towards the display system at angle α from a forward direction.
ERGONOMIC HANDHELD WEIGHT UNIT AND METHOD OF USE
Systems and methods for a small light weight unit that can be securely held and centered in the palm of the holder during physical activities, such as exercises, including aerobic exercises. The weight unit also includes features for securing the weight in the palm during the exercise to achieve a specific desired weight and intensity of workout.
Exercise machine controls
A method includes receiving electronic content via a network, the electronic content comprising an exercise class, and receiving user data associated with a user participating in the exercise class using an exercise machine. The method also includes generating an executable control for a user interface based at least in part on the user data, and providing the executable control, via a display of the exercise machine, while the user is participating in the exercise class. In such a method, the executable control is operable to modify a parameter of the exercise machine while the user is participating in the exercise class.
ABDOMINAL EXERCISE DEVICE
An abdominal exercise device includes a frame comprising top, middle, and bottom frame sections. The middle frame section has a curved shape for creating a teeter-totter movement during exercise. The device includes a headrest connected to the bottom frame section, a plurality of connectors for connecting elastic bands to the frame, and an elastic band connected to at least two connectors. The two ends of the elastic band are connected to two straps. The device creates the teeter-totter movement to exercise the abdominal muscles in response to a person lying down in supine position with the back of the head on the headrest and the feet in the two straps, the person applying a downward pressure with the feet to the straps to move the headrest from a resting position, and the person removing the downward pressure to allow the headrest to go back to the resting position.
Information processing apparatus and information processing method
The present technology relates to an information processing apparatus, information processing method, and program that make it possible to encourage a user to consume energy. The information processing apparatus includes a presentation control unit that controls presentation of energy consumption of a user in a time period from detection of a first trigger to detection of a second trigger. The first trigger causes energy consumption to be presented. The second trigger causes energy consumption to be presented. The present technology is applicable, for example, to a mobile information terminal such as a wearable device or a smartphone.
Exercise machine
An exercise machine may include a frame, a resistance mechanism supported by the frame, first and second pull cables supported by the frame and linked to the resistance mechanism, a power rack attached to the frame, first and second handles selectively attachable to the first and second pull cable, and first and second pulleys. The power rack includes upright posts configured to have barbell holders adjustably attached thereto such that the barbell holders are configured to be adjusted in various positions between highest positions and lowest positions on the upright posts. The pulleys are configured to selectively receive the pull cables to enable the pull cables to be selectively attached to a barbell to assist or hinder a user in lifting the barbell in a combined cable and free weight workout, the pull cables decoupled from the pulleys for cable workouts.
Braking and Locking System for a Treadmill
A system for a treadmill with a tread that rotates on front wheels supported on a front axle and rear wheels supported on a rear axle includes a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism comprises a first device associated with one of the front axle or the rear axle and configured to prevent rotation of respective front wheels or rear wheels in a first direction and a second device associated with another of the front axle or the rear axle and configured to prevent rotation of the respective front wheels or rear wheels in a second direction opposite the first direction. The system also includes a controller and a sensor configured to detect a user on the tread. The controller is configured to, in response to the sensor detecting no user on the manual treadmill, engage the locking mechanism to prevent movement of the front wheels and the rear wheels.
TRAINING SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR DESIGNING, MONITORING AND PROVIDING FEEDBACK OF TRAINING
Computing device enhanced training environment system comprising a computing device, I/O subsystem for permitting a user to enter at least one attribute of the tmining or of the trainee, a plurality of sensors for generating sensory information, a training environment in which a training activity takes place, a database containing training related information. The computing device enhanced tmining environment system configured for at least one of the following: design a training program for a plurality of users, monitor training program performance, monitor training performance, instruct a user about the training, determine and/or set difficulty level in training apparatus.
EXERCISE DEVICE AND PRELOADED RESISTANCE PACK
A preloaded resistance pack and exercise device. The resistance pack includes an elastomeric resistance element coupled to a hub and disposed on a plate. The hub includes a pair of radially extending wings that lie against a surface of the plate. The plate includes a pair of raised tabs that lie within a rotational path of the wings. An initial rotation of the hub relative to the plate causes the wings to slide over and beyond the raised tabs and at least partially stretches the resistance element. Interaction between the tabs and wings prevents the hub from rotating back to an initial position and maintains the resistance element in a preloaded, tensioned condition. The exercise device is configured to detect a number of the resistance packs coupled thereto as well as data associated with exercise movements employing the resistance packs.
