Corrugated cardboard package adapted to detect breaks made to its detriment
10618712 · 2020-04-14 · ·

Disclosed is a package obtained by folding a sheet of conveniently cut and creased corrugated cardboard onto itself. The package includes multiple walls and wall linings which are at least partially opposed to one another. Certain wall linings are glued to the walls against which they are opposed in order to prevent the package from opening due to the cardboard sheet with which it is made being unfolded. An electrically conductive track is printed on the cardboard sheet at the inner face of the latter so that an opening of the package causes damage to the track. The package further includes an electronic device coupled to the conductive track and adapted to detect damage thereto, i.e. an alteration of one or more electric features of the track. Each of the wall linings glued to one or more walls of the package includes an easy tear-off-line intersecting the conductive track.

NFC/RF mechanism with multiple valid states for detecting an open container, and methods of making and using the same

A wireless (e.g., near field or RF) communication device, and methods of manufacturing and using the same are disclosed. The wireless communication device includes a receiver and/or transmitter, a substrate with an antenna thereon, an integrated circuit, and one or more protection lines. The antenna receives and/or transmits or broadcasts a wireless signal. The integrated circuit processes the wireless signal and/or information therefrom, and/or generates the wireless signal and/or information therefor. The integrated circuit has a first set of terminals electrically connected to the antenna. The protection line(s) are on a common or different substrate as the antenna. The protection line(s) sense or determine a continuity state of a package or container on which the communication device is placed or to which the communication device is fixed or adhered, and are electrically connected to a second set of terminals of the integrated circuit different from the first set of terminals.

A closure for containers providing a seal when closed. A pull tab lifted to open provides a venting action, and a pour opening. A sanitary platform covers a drinking area around the pour opening. Closure contains electronic device components triggered to engage a user in games of chance through the use of a cellular phone.

Container security system

A container security system includes a container chassis and a closure subsystem coupled to the container chassis. The closure subsystem includes a closure chassis that prevents movement of a material between a container volume and an exterior of the container chassis via an aperture defined by the container chassis. The closure subsystem includes a closure security sensor that generates a closure sensor signal when the closure chassis experiences a tamper event. A first type communication interface is housed in the closure chassis and a security engine provided by the closure subsystem receives a sensor signal indicating that the closure chassis has experienced the tamper event. The security engine then provides, in response to receiving the sensor signal and using the first type communication interface, a notification to a corresponding first type communication interface that the closure chassis has experienced the tamper event.

An assembly is provided. The assembly comprises of a container which may be a reusable or single-use container intended for the storage, transport, temperature regulation, modification, prevention of contamination, usage, removal, presentation, consumption, assembly, and/or the experience around food products contained inside of the plurality of locked compartments which are opened in a programmed sequence determined by a processing assembly device. The user of the container can utilize the contents of each of the container compartments as they are unlocked one at a time based on a preset sequence of events. These events may utilize sensor data to determine if a previous compartment is completely empty to send the command to unlock the next compartment in sequence. An administrator can set and/or override the sequence of the compartments to unlock from the container and program the rules for unlocking the container compartments.

CLOSURE FOR CONTAINER WITH INFORMATIONAL AND/OR ANTI-COUNTERFEITING CAPABILITIES

A smart closure system, apparatus, and method are contemplated. The closure includes mechanical capture and release mechanisms, electromechanical and/or optical indicators, wireless technologies, and/or web-based or remote authentication, verification, and serialization via remotely located data servers. A mobile computing device may further augment certain functions. The resulting system allows for anti-counterfeiting, authentication, serialization, and other capabilities.

Device for securing a bottle's cap, corresponding method and computer program product

A device for securing a bottle's cap includes a first part; a second part mechanically connected to the first part through a mechanical connection; and a securing component including a radio frequency transponder, a first portion of the component being implemented in the first part of the device, a second portion of the component being implemented in the second part of the device, at least one portion of the component extending through the mechanical connection. The second part includes a device for fixing the device to a cap of a bottle. The mechanical connection is configured for breaking when a traction or a torsion is applied on the first part of the device versus the second part.

Alarmed closable packaging for pallets

An alarmed closable packaging for a container of goods has at least two sections whose edges have closure elements and which, once in contact, completely envelop and seal the container of goods. The multilayer sections have first and second electrically conductive layers with an insulator between. The insulator recovers its thickness after having undergone crushing. Each section has a support with conductive attachments connected to respective conductive layers. Each section has an electronic device attached by the support, an electrode of the electronic device contacting conductive attachments of the support, creating a low continuous voltage on the first electrically conductive layer of each section, with another electrode similarly connected to the second electrically conductive layer. The electronic device transmits a signal to a receiver and records variation of the voltage from impacts or tears of the closable packaging or to an unauthorised removal of the device from its support.

Sealing bolt and sealing system

A sealing bolt and a related system for sealing a container lid to a container body includes a seal stud mounted to the container body, a seal head connecting the container lid, and a pin connecting the seal head to the seal stud, where the container lid is connected to the container body by connecting the seal head to the seal stud, and a rupture cable is fed through a transverse passage in the pin and arranged such that any rotational or translational movement of the pin with respect to the seal head and/or the seal stud causes the rupture cable to break.
