An adhesive system comprises a carrier and an adhesive for attaching objects, such as a wiring harness, to a support surface, such as the structure of a motor vehicle, aircraft or appliance. The adhesive system features two end portions and a strap portion. An opening in one end portion is configured to receive the other end portion. The opening has a width normal to the longitudinal axis of the carrier that is configured to receive the strap portion of the carrier to define a loop. The carrier may be configured so that the loop maintains a closed condition about an object. Pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on one side of the end portions allows the carrier to be securely attached to a support surface.

CLOSING AND OPENING SYSTEMS, AND TEAR TAPE OPENING SYSTEMS

Disclosed herein are tape opening systems, containers, and methods to produce display-ready containers formed of paper-based substrates. The clean tear openings of the disclosed containers are accomplished through novel incorporations of monoaxiaily oriented films with directional tear properties. Also disclosed are closure and opening systems for multi-wall and polywoven pinch bottom open mouth bags using same monoaxially tearable films.

LOW PROFILE, WRAPPABLE ELONGATE MEMBERS SPACER AND METHOD OF MAINTAINING ELONGATE MEMBERS IN FIXED, SPACED RELATIVE RELATION
20180118433 · 2018-05-03 ·

A low profile, wrappable spacer and method for maintaining a pair of elongate members in fixed, spaced relation to one another is provided. The wrappable spacer includes a flexible elongate body having oppositely facing inner and outer faces extending along laterally spaced, lengthwise extending edges between opposite ends. The inner face has an adhesive surface. At least one member extends between the edges transversely to the lengthwise extending edges. The member extends outwardly from the adhesive surface, wherein the adhesive surface is configured for adhesion to at least one of the member, the elongate members or the outer face.

A tie article has a substantially elongated configuration having opposed first and second longitudinal edges. The tie article includes a base layer, a cover layer, a closure device, an adhesive and an extension. The base layer includes a central segment and two arm segments, each of the arm segments extending from opposing sides of the central segment. The cover layer overlaps the base layer. The closure device is sandwiched between the base layer and the cover layer so that the base layer and cover layer are bonded together around the closure device. The adhesive is disposed on the central segment of the base layer. The extension is of either or both of the base layer and cover layer and extends beyond at least one of the first and second longitudinal edges. A method is described for attaching a second item to a first item with a tie article.

COLLATION OF PACKAGES AND METHOD OF RETAINING PACKAGES TOGETHER IN A COLLATION

Repulpable, recyclable, compostable and biodegradable reinforcement elements and paper reinforced tapes, and containers including the same

The paper reinforced tapes and reinforcement elements of this invention have improved repulpability, recyclability, compostability and biodegradability. Further, these reinforcement elements and paper reinforced tapes, despite being predominately paper, unexpectedly provide excellent container reinforcement properties and further can be used as opening tapes, closing tapes, tear tapes and carrying handles.

Collation of packages for delivery systems

The present invention relates to a collation of packages. The collation of packages comprises a plurality of individual packages, each package comprising a pair of opposing first faces, a pair of opposing second faces, and a pair of opposing end faces. The packages are arranges in rows in which each package is aligned in a face-to face orientation such that a first face of a package faces a first face of an adjacent package within a row, and a second face of a package in a row faces a second face of a package in an adjacent row, and a first face of a package at the end of each row is exposed. The tap is adhered to the packages across their end faces and is positioned so as to couple packages in adjacent rows together, and packages within the same row together. The tape is also adhered to said exposed first faces of the packages at the end of each row so as to extend across the exposed first faces of adjacent packages.
