Asymmetrically releasable fastener system and cuff for use therewith
A fastener system comprising a strap incorporating a plurality of teeth and comprising a buckle incorporating a plurality of slots. The strap can be engaged by the buckle such that the strap resists disengagement by a separating force applied generally equally across the width of the strap and the buckle, but will disengage upon application of an asymmetrical force applied proximate either just to the top edge or just to the bottom edge of the buckle and strap. The fastener system can be associated with a cuff or other article so as to releasably maintain two opposing side edges of the cuff in proximity to each other.
Adhesive system apparatus and method
An adhesive system comprises a carrier and an adhesive for attaching objects, such as a wiring harness, to a support surface, such as the structure of a motor vehicle, aircraft or appliance. The adhesive system features two end portions and a strap portion. An opening in one end portion is configured to receive the other end portion. The opening has a width normal to the longitudinal axis of the carrier that is configured to receive the strap portion of the carrier to define a loop. The carrier may be configured so that the loop maintains a closed condition about an object. Pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on one side of the end portions allows the carrier to be securely attached to a support surface.
Apparatus and method of embedding articles within reclosable fastener systems
The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatus for reclosable fasteners with increased stability against horizontal movement and increased stability against horizontal movement of an embedded article within the reclosable fasteners. The reclosable fastener may include, for example, a hook and loop fastener or interlocking mushroom fastener. More specifically, the present disclosure presents reclosable fastener systems that may securely contain and embed an article within the reclosable fastener system.
Fastening system
A fastening system includes two elongated profile parts, one of which includes a guiding surface or ramp for positioning it with respect to the other profile part, for releasably fastening a carrier to a holder. Deformations of a rib of one profile or a clamping hole of the other profile are adapted to position the one profile in substantially clamped state in the other profile in the longitudinal direction.
Baling system buckles for securing a bale
A buckle for use in securing a band around a bale of material includes a socket member having an aperture formed therein and a wedge member having a portion shaped to maximize friction with a band and a rounded portion opposite the portion shaped to maximize friction with a band. The wedge member is initially connected to the socket member by at least one frangible link in an initial orientation having the rounded portion oriented toward the aperture in the socket member and the portion shaped to maximize friction with a band oriented away from the aperture. The buckle is used in a automated method wherein both ends of a band extending around a bale are clamped to the wedge member, the wedge member is rotated to a final position wherein the portion shaped to maximize friction with a band of thewedge member is oriented toward the aperture and urged into the aperture, thereby capturing, both ends of the band between the portion shaped to maximize friction with a band of the wedge member and the socket member.
MOUNTING DEVICE WITH SELF-CENTERING SUPPORT SURFACE
A mounting device configured to secure an elongate element to a threaded stud using a flexible cable tie is described herein. The mounting device includes a body portion defining a cavity oriented along a longitudinal axis having an opening configured to receive the stud. The cavity defines a flexible pawl configured to engage a thread of the plurality of helical threads, thereby securing the mounting device to the stud. The mounting device also includes a support portion arranged on a distal end of the body portion opposite the opening having a support surface configured to engage the elongate element and a first enclosed channel arranged along a lateral axis. The first channel defines a first pair of cable tie apertures configured to receive the flexible cable tie as it is wrapped about the elongate element, thereby securing the elongate element to the mounting device.
DRINKING DEVICE
A drinking device for the retronasal perception of an aroma substance. The drinking device comprises a storage container for drinking liquid, a head part, which can be fastened on the storage container and has a mouth end, at least one exchangeable aroma container, through which air can flow and which can be fastened on the head part, and a drinking straw, which is fixed in the head part. The drinking straw includes a transport channel for drinking liquid and an air channel for transporting aromatized air. The transport channel extends from the storage container towards the mouth end of the drinking device. The air channel extends from the at least one aroma container towards the mouth end.
Flexible Connector
A flexible strap connector is disclosed. The connector comprises a strap having a buckle head at one end and a tongue at the opposite end. Ratchet teeth extend on one side of the strap and the ratchet teeth cooperate with the buckle head to permit movement of the strap in a first direction and to prevent movement of the strap in a second direction. A second slot is formed in the strap itself and it is a non-locking slot. When the strap is in the second slot, the strap is free to move further into the slot and free to be withdrawn from the slot. Embodiments where the buckle head and ratchet teeth are replaced with hook and loop fasteners are also disclosed.
Elongate attachable flexible magnetic article holder
An elongate article holder with a flexible non-magnetic band, along with two terminal ends that may be removably secured to each other, is used to wrap around an elongate article or coils of the elongate article. In various exemplary embodiments, removable coupling of the two terminal ends may be provided by magnet(s), which may be substantially protected from environmental harm while simultaneously helping to achieve optimum magnetic closure strength by using tubular apertures/dimples which may run from a cavity housing the magnet to or near a mating surface of a respective terminal end. Further, the flexible non-magnetic band may have an integral closed loop for removably attaching to the elongate article, operating by passing a portion of the elongate article through a formed orifice that is formed from the integral closed loop.
Baling System Buckles for Securing a Bale
A buckle for use in securing a band around a bale of material comprises a socket member having an aperture formed therein and a wedge member having a portion shaped to maximize friction with a band and a rounded portion opposite the portion shaped to maximize friction with a band. The wedge member is initially connected to the socket member by at least one frangible link in an initial orientation having the rounded portion oriented toward the aperture in the socket member and the portion shaped to maximize friction with a band oriented away from the aperture. The buckle is used in an automated method wherein both ends of a band extending around a bale are clamped to the wedge member, the wedge member is rotated to a final position wherein the portion shaped to maximize friction with a band of the wedge member is oriented toward the aperture and urged into the aperture, thereby capturing both ends of the band between the portion shaped to maximize friction with a band of the wedge member and the socket member.
