A system simultaneously tracks multiple objects. All or a subset of the objects includes a wireless receiver and a transmitter for providing an output. The system includes one or more wireless transmitters that send commands to the wireless receivers of the multiple objects instructing different subsets of the multiple objects to output (via their respective transmitter) at different times. The system also includes object sensors that receive output from the transmitters of the multiple objects and a computer system in communication with the object sensors. The computer system calculates locations of the multiple objects based on the sensed output from the multiple objects.

A pivoting soccer goal mounted on a turntable can rotate so that a ball directed at the goal from nearly any angle will rotate the goal so that the ball will go into the goal. The goal can be seated in a standard golf cup and so can be used on a golf course. Embodiments relate to a transmitter and/or a receiver for a system for detecting an event which is triggered by an object crossing a monitored line. The transmitter is configured to successively transmit data packets independently of an occurrence of the event. The receiver is configured to receive successive data packets independently of the occurrence of the event. Each data packet comprises information on a number of events which occurred up to a transmission time of the data packet, wherein the transmission times of successive data packets are each located in a predetermined transmission time period.

A basketball training system includes a server computer and a basketball training machine. The server computer executes a workout module that manages operation of a graphical user interface that presents a graphical representation of a portion of a basketball court and receives user inputs that define a workout program that includes selected ball delivery locations relative to the visual representation.
