ATHLETIC TRAINING EQUIPMENT
An exercise apparatus may include a rectangular platform, first and second attachment points, first and second rails and friction reducing runners on the rails. The platform may have an upper face, a lower face, two long edges and two short edges. The first attachment point may be disposed along one of the long edges. The second attachment point may be disposed along the other of the long edges. The first rail may be attached to the lower face of the platform proximal to one of the short edges of the platform. The second rail may be attached to the lower face of the platform proximal to the other of the short edges of the platform. The first and second rails may be spaced apart to define a passageway beneath the apparatus, wherein the passageway is configured to allow the apparatus to pass over a standard sprinter's starting block without contacting any part of the starting block.
Protective Headgear With Non-Rigid Outer Shell
Protective headgear apparatus (such as a helmet used for contact sports) is formed to comprise a non-rigid outer shell in the form of multiple layers of open-cell foam, each layer having a different density. A flexible, lightweight metal frame (i.e., a “cage”) is disposed to contact the inner surface of the outer shell (i.e., bonded in a manner that essentially “locks” the frame to the foam layer), and an open-cell foam cushion layer (in a waffle-like pattern) is bonded to the exposed surface of the metal frame. The various foam layers are preferably impregnated with activated carbon particles that electrostatically absorb (i.e., “capture”) the energy caused by blows to the outer shell. The captured energy is thereafter distributed throughout the volume of the foam layer itself, so as to minimize the amount of energy that reaches the wearer's head.
SPORT BALLS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SPORT BALLS
A sport ball includes a casing forming an exterior surface thereof. The casing has a plurality of joined panels forming a partially-assembled casing and defining an open area. A closure panel substantially fills the open area of the partially-assembled casing. A backing layer is radially inward of, and attached to, the closure panel. The backing layer extends beyond a peripheral boundary of the closure panel, such that the backing layer at least partially overlaps one or more of the joined panels adjacent to the open area of the partially-assembled casing. A bladder is radially inward of, and attached to, the closure panel. The bladder includes a valve for introducing fluid into the ball. The valve extends through the backing layer and the closure panel. A backing patch may be attached either to the closure or the partially-assembled casing, and overlaps a portion of both.
Vision training system and method of use
Devices, systems, and methods for training baseball and softball batters, to identify types of pitched balls (fast ball, curve ball, slider and changeup) and locations (strike or non-strike zone) of pitched balls in order to increase hitting accuracy A motion sensor can be triggered by the leading foot of a pitcher. The motion sensor can use cone or fan shaped sensor to detect the passage of a pitched ball from the pitcher. When the motion sensor is triggered, a signal can be sent to a black out lens that blocks the vision of a hitter being trained to identify the types and locations of the pitched balls. The training includes changing the lens from transparent to opaque at selected distances between the hitter and the pitcher. Batters can be trained to keep their eyes on the pitched balls until the ball reaches the batter. Golfers can be trained to not have to look up when their club hits the ball, where the black out lens are go opaque when the golf swing passes into the motion sensor.
METHODS OF DETERMINING PERFORMANCE INFORMATION FOR INDIVIDUALS AND SPORTS OBJECTS
Methods for determining performance information for an object located within an area include obtaining magnetic field information for the area, measuring first magnetic field data when the object is located at a first position within the area, and determining performance information for the object within the area based on the magnetic field information for the area and the first magnetic field data.
SMART DEVICE
An Internet of Thing (IoT) device includes a camera coupled to a processor; and a wireless transceiver coupled to the processor. Blockchain smart contracts can be used with the device to facilitate secure operation.
FREE KICK DISTANCE PROJECTING DEVICE
Device (1) for showing a marking (A) in the form of a distance to be observed between a game apparatus (15), in particular a football, and participants on a playing field (22) of a sports facility (2), having a display device (3) for projecting light beams (L) representing the marking (A) onto the playing field (22), wherein the projected light beams (L) display the distance to be observed and can be projected in the shape of a circle, at least in sections, in particular at a distance of 9.15 m around the game apparatus (15) on the playing field (22), wherein the display device (3) is jointly movable with a transport device (8) that is movable above the sports facility (2).
EXERCISE TRAINING SYSTEM
A training system, kit, and method including a weighted wearable equipment, e.g. gloves, having a sensor (e.g. accelerometers, gyroscopes, photoelectric sensors, position sensors, tilt sensors, pressure sensors, temperature sensors, blood pressure sensors, heart rate monitors, and SpO2 sensors) and including a weight enhancement (e.g. weight bodies in closed pockets); a non-weighted wearable equipment of the same type as the weighted wearable equipment, the non-weighted wearable equipment having a sensor and. not including a weight enhancement; and a training application in functional communication with each of the weighted wearable equipment and the non-weighted wearable equipment and having a data processor that includes instructions for: analyzing data received from the sensor of each of the weighted wearable equipment and the non-weighted wearable equipment and generating predictive information derived from exercise training data from the sensors.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PERFORMING OBJECT DETECTION AND OBJECT/USER INTERACTION TO ASSESS USER PERFORMANCE
A system and method for object detection may be used to detect the interaction between an object and a part of the human body. In one embodiment, the system is used to detect a soccer ball that is being juggled by a user.
