The invention comprises a package for reactive materials comprising a panel defining a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and at least two side edges. The panel comprises at least one film layer, an adhesive adjacent the film layer, wherein the adhesive is pattern applied such that it is disposed within an interior region of the film layer and wherein a perimeter of the film layer is adhesive-free adjacent each of the first end, second end, and side edges, and a release liner comprising a substrate layer and a cured silicone layer. The release liner is adhered to the film layer via the adhesive, the substrate layer of the release liner is disposed adjacent the film layer, and a perimeter of the release liner is smaller than the perimeter of the film structure. In an embodiment, the panel comprises a tubular body and the side edges are sealed together to form a fin seal, the first end is sealed closed to form an end seal, and the second end is sealed closed to form an end seal.

PACKAGES CONFIGURED FOR IMPROVED SEALING

A package is provided that is formed from a packaging material, such as film, having increased adhesive in critical locations, such as adjacent folds in the end seal and other areas so that that the increased adhesive can at least partially fill voids adjacent such folds. The additional, localized sealant material is applied in a plurality of discrete locations in the end seal or other region adjacent where folds are formed and overlap with a sealant layer so as to provide additional sealant material for at least partially filling the voids without being present throughout the entirety, majority or large portions of the packaging material.

Containers are described that allow a consumer to see inside the container and to more easily access the products. One form of the container includes a base member with a lid defining a window. A flexible laminate with a peelable flap portion is attached to the lid to provide access to the products inside. The flexible laminate includes a first film layer laminated to a second film layer. The first film layer includes a first cut line defining a peelable flap portion and the second film layer includes a second cut line offset from the first cut line that defines an opening into the container. First and second reclose surfaces defined between the cut lines on the corresponding film layers include pressure-sensitive adhesive to allow the container to be re-sealed via movement of the peelable flap portion back into engagement with the flexible laminate remaining with the container.

There is provided a wrapping web (11) having transverse tape assemblies (12) released from a double sided release film (13) and cut to length. The tape assemblies (12) comprise a double sided adhesive tape portion (14) adhered to the baling web (11) and an adhesive tape laminate portion (15) having a release surface overlying the double sided adhesive tape portion (14). The exposed adhesive layer (17) of the adhesive tape (15) permanently adheres to the back surface (24) of the web (11) as it is rolled up. The wrapping web assembly (10) is deployed by unwinding from an accumulator spool into a baling assembly. As the web (11) unspools from the accumulator spool, peel forces are applied to the tape assembly (12) causing separation of the adhesive (14) and double sided adhesive (15) tape portions. This presents an exposed adhesive layer (20) whereby the web (11) can be closed over itself to close the wrapping of a product such as cotton.
