Wrap systems for medical device kits
Medical device kits for use in placing, maintaining, altering, and/or removing medical devices in, on, and/or from the body of a patient are disclosed. Such medical device kits can include one or more wrap assemblies for use in the placement/maintenance procedure. In accordance with present embodiments, the one or more wrap assemblies of the medical device kit can include various features to assist the clinician performing the particular procedure. In one embodiment, a medical wrap assembly is disclosed, comprising a foldable wrap body that includes a front surface, wherein the front surface is configured to define a sterile field. A plurality of pockets is included on the front surface of the wrap body. The pockets are configured to contain therein a plurality of medical components. The medical components are arranged in the pockets in a predetermined order of use for the medical procedure.
Compostable or Recyclable Packaging Wrap
A compostable packaging wrap comprising: a strip that is primarily formed of starch and that is flexible such that the strip can be rolled is disclosed.

Process for forming improved protective eco-friendly pouch and packaging and products made therefrom
The present invention relates generally to a protective wrap and a protective envelope or pouch: made therefrom, as well as the apparatus and: process for forming such wraps and envelopes. Water-based heat-expandable adhesives (WBHEA) which include a plurality of heat-expandable microspheres are disposed in a pattern between, web substrates on a continuous, high speed manufacturing line to produce padded, insulated products: useful as envelopes, mailers and other protective packaging.

Expanded slit sheet cushioning products with novel slit pattern and paper properties
In the preferred embodiments, the present invention provides substantially improved slit sheet cushioning products by advantageously combining novel paper properties with novel slit patterns for improved features and characteristics. In some illustrative and non-limiting example embodiments, cushioning products of the present invention can include, e.g., a novel slit sheet material in combination with extensible paper employed as, e.g., a cushioning pad or as cushioning within an envelope product, wherein the cushioning product can be substantially more resilient, but, yet, e.g., thinner for better utilization of space.

Containment sleeves for packages containing medical devices
A package for a medical device includes a tray with a top surface, a bottom surface, a proximal end, a distal end, and first and second lateral sides that extend between the proximal and distal ends. The package has a retainer sleeve wrapped around the tray, the retainer sleeve including a top panel covering the top surface of the tray, a bottom panel covering the bottom surface of the tray, and a connecting panel extending between the top and bottom panels and covering one of the first and second lateral sides of the tray. The top panel of the retaining sleeve includes a proximal edge, a distal edge, an outer edge, a cut that extends inwardly from the outer edge, and an extended tab that extends along the outer edge of the top panel and distally beyond the cut formed in the outer edge of the top panel. The extended tab is tucked under the connecting panel and disposed between the connecting panel and one of the first and second lateral sides of the tray covered by the connecting panel. A retainer lid covers the distal end of the top panel of the retainer sleeve and is connected with the distal end of the tray for securing the distal end of the retainer sleeve to the tray.

OPENING CONFIGURATION FOR SHRINK-WRAPPED PACKAGE
Non-crosslinked polyolefin films or doped crosslinked polyolefin films (i.e., crosslinked polyolefin films that include a tear-alignment additive) may be used to shrink-wrap packages to create a wrapped package that is protected from tampering and damage but is also easy to open with little effort required by the customer. There is no need for perforations, and the films are quiet when torn, folded, cut, etc. Tear initiating cuts may be formed in the film. A tab may be placed over the film, and when the tab is pulled it applies enough force to start a pair of straight tears. The tears may be parallel or perpendicular to each other. The tears propagate in non-crosslinked polyolefin easily in the machine direction of the film as the tab continues to be pulled. In a doped crosslinked polyolefin, the tears propagate in the machine direction or perpendicular to the machine direction of the film.
