The present invention is directed to a packaging article configured as packaging rollstock comprising a multilayer laminate having an integrally formed peelable, removable coupon. The coupon is formed from a first layer having at least two score-lines and a pattern-applied second, third, fourth and fifth layer. The coupon includes an interior printable water-based acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive layer which advantageously provides a surface for printing graphics and resealability to packages made there-from.

LIQUID REPELLENT FILM OR SHEET, AND PACKAGING MATERIAL USING SAME
The present invention is a liquid-repellent film or sheet that exhibits an excellent liquid repellency, and a packaging material using the same. The liquid-repellent film or sheet comprises: a substrate layer (2); an adhesive layer (3) that comprises a thermoplastic resin, and is formed on at least one plane of the substrate layer (2); and a liquid-repellent layer (4) that comprises a resin (6) having a liquid-repellent moiety, and hydrophilic particles (5), and is formed on the surface of the adhesive layer (3).
Multi-stage polymeric latexes, coating compositions containing such latexes, and articles coated therewith
An aqueous coating composition useful in coating a variety of substrates, including interior or exterior portions of food or beverage cans. The coating composition includes a multi-stage polymeric latex having two or more emulsion polymerized stages in an aqueous carrier liquid, wherein the latex has one or both of: (i) a lower glass transition temperature (Tg) emulsion polymerized stage having a calculated Tg that is at least 20° C. lower than a calculated Tg of a higher Tg emulsion polymerized stage, or (ii) a gradient Tg with at least a 20° C. differential in the calculated Tg of monomers fed at the start of polymerization compared to monomers fed at the end of polymerization.
When spray-applied on the interior of a food or beverage can, the composition exhibits a global extraction result of less than 50 ppm and a metal exposure value of less than 3 mA.
RECYCLABLE, COLLAPSIBLE TUBE WITH BARRIER PROPERTIES
For recyclability in a high value circular recycling material stream, a fluid-tight collapsible polyolefin container comprises a container body (5) formed of a container laminate (1) that is folded to a container-like body, sealed in the overlapping edge regions (2, 3) and coated with a sheathing (4) of polyolefin material to form the container body (5), said container body (5) being provided at one open end with a container head formed from polyolefin material. The container laminate (1) is a laminate having at least three layers, an inner polyolefin layer (6) and an outer polyolefin layer (8) and a barrier layer (7) sandwiched between the outer polyolefin layer (8) and the inner polyolefin layer (6), wherein the barrier layer (7) comprises at least one polyolefin comprising barrier foil like a monolayer foil (71) or a coextruded foil (72 with layers 72a, 72b) or a laminate thereof and wherein at least 90% of all polymers of the container are made of polyolefin of the same kind.

For recyclability in a high value circular recycling material stream, a fluid-tight collapsible polyolefin container comprises a container body (5) formed of a container laminate (1) that is folded to a container-like body, sealed in the overlapping edge regions (2, 3) and coated with a sheathing (4) of polyolefin material to form the container body (5), said container body (5) being provided at one open end with a container head formed from polyolefin material. The container laminate (1) is a laminate having at least three layers, an inner polyolefin layer (6) and an outer polyolefin layer (8) and a barrier layer (7) sandwiched between the outer polyolefin layer (8) and the inner polyolefin layer (6), wherein the barrier layer (7) comprises at least one polyolefin comprising barrier foil like a monolayer foil (71) or a coextruded foil (72 with layers 72a, 72b) or a laminate thereof and wherein at least 90% of all polymers of the container are made of polyolefin of the same kind.
LIQUID REPELLENT FILM
The present invention is a liquid-repellent film that exhibits an excellent liquid repellency, and a packaging material of which a surface is formed of the same. The liquid-repellent film comprises: an undercoat part (90) formed unevenly on the substrate surface by microparticles (70) and a thermoplastic resin (80); and a topcoat part (60) having: (i) a minute uneven structured part that includes hydrophilic microparticles (20) having a smaller particle size than the microparticles (70); (ii) a liquid-repellent moiety (40) that bonds to the surface of the minute uneven structured part; and (iii) a binder resin (50) that is present between the surface of the undercoat part (90) and the minute uneven structured part, and is distributed to cover the bonding part of the minute uneven structured part and the liquid-repellent moiety (20).
LIQUID REPELLENT FILM
The present invention is a liquid-repellent film that exhibits an excellent liquid repellency, and a packaging material of which a surface is formed of the same. The liquid-repellent film comprises: an undercoat part (90) formed unevenly on the substrate surface by microparticles (70) and a thermoplastic resin (80); and a topcoat part (60) having: (i) a minute uneven structured part that includes hydrophilic microparticles (20) having a smaller particle size than the microparticles (70); (ii) a liquid-repellent moiety (40) that bonds to the surface of the minute uneven structured part; and (iii) a binder resin (50) that is present between the surface of the undercoat part (90) and the minute uneven structured part, and is distributed to cover the bonding part of the minute uneven structured part and the liquid-repellent moiety (20).
Hot Melt Adhesive for Polyolefin Films
A hot-melt adhesive composition is disclosed. The hot melt adhesive comprises a) 25 to 95 wt %, preferably 50 to 85 wt % of at least one polyolefin-based polymer; b) 1 to 75 wt %, preferably 1 to 40 wt % of at least one tackifying resin; c) 0 to 15 wt % of at least one plasticizer; and d) 0 to 30 wt % of at least one additive and/or adjuvant selected from among stabilizers, adhesion promoters, fillers or pigments, waxes, and/or other polymers or combinations thereof,
characterized in that the at least one polyolefin-based polymer is a mixture of: a1) at least one first polyolefin-based polymer with a molecular weight M.sub.n of <10,000 g/mol in a quantity of 20 to 80 wt % with respect to the total quantity of polyolefin-based polymer, and a2) at least one second polyolefin-based polymer with a molecular weight M.sub.n of >10,000 g/mol in a quantity of 20 to 80 wt % with respect to the total quantity of polyolefin-based polymer. The adhesive is particularly useful for gluing polyolefin films, woven fabrics, or nonwoven fabrics. Also, methods for manufacturing packaging and fabric with the hot-melt adhesive above are disclosed.
Hot Melt Adhesive for Polyolefin Films
A hot-melt adhesive composition is disclosed. The hot melt adhesive comprises a) 25 to 95 wt %, preferably 50 to 85 wt % of at least one polyolefin-based polymer; b) 1 to 75 wt %, preferably 1 to 40 wt % of at least one tackifying resin; c) 0 to 15 wt % of at least one plasticizer; and d) 0 to 30 wt % of at least one additive and/or adjuvant selected from among stabilizers, adhesion promoters, fillers or pigments, waxes, and/or other polymers or combinations thereof,
characterized in that the at least one polyolefin-based polymer is a mixture of: a1) at least one first polyolefin-based polymer with a molecular weight M.sub.n of <10,000 g/mol in a quantity of 20 to 80 wt % with respect to the total quantity of polyolefin-based polymer, and a2) at least one second polyolefin-based polymer with a molecular weight M.sub.n of >10,000 g/mol in a quantity of 20 to 80 wt % with respect to the total quantity of polyolefin-based polymer. The adhesive is particularly useful for gluing polyolefin films, woven fabrics, or nonwoven fabrics. Also, methods for manufacturing packaging and fabric with the hot-melt adhesive above are disclosed.
