System for expelling and collecting balls and related operating process
An omnidirectional system (1) is described, for expelling and collecting balls, adapted to reproduce a real playing and/or training dynamics, such system (1) being equipped with at least one closing element (8) connected to at least one expelling device (2) of the system (1) arranged orthogonal to the expelling device (2) when expelling at least one ball from the system (1), the ball bouncing on an upper surface of the closing element (8) going towards at least one user; and with at least one net element (7) of at least one collecting element (3) of the system (1).
SONIC GENERATOR FOR USE WITH A TIMING AND DATA COLLECTION SYSTEM FOR A LIVE SPORTING EVENT
A sonic generator for use with timing and data collection systems is a button activated device operated by a referee during a live sporting event. It can be hand-held or integrated with a referee's belt pack and replaces a conventional exhalation-powered whistle. It can be configured to record and replay a custom sonic signal, a sonic signal selected from a database of pre-recorded sounds, or a standard sonic signal such as a generic whistle sound. Each sonic generator generates a unique sonic signal which is compared to digitally stored sonic fingerprints at a given sporting event to identify a match, and starts or stops the game clock in response to that match. This prevents inadvertent game clock starts and stops resulting from ambient noise. The sonic generator can be configured as a two-way voice communication system to allow referees to communicate with other game officials.
POSITION RECKONING SYSTEM UTILIZING A SPORTS BALL
A sports ball and player position reckoning system, comprising instrumentation in either a sports ball on on a player's person that allows one or more players to be electronically located on a playing field or court each time a goal attempt is made. The instrumentation is configured to either fit through the opening of an inflation port of the ball when the fill valve is removed or attached to a player or a piece of player's clothing. The system works in conjunction with a performance monitor system that detects ball interactions with a goal and is used to trigger the system to analyze the ball flight path just prior to the goal interaction. Player position is ascertained through the localization of the initial position of the player at the start of a ball's flight path.
Sportsball Construction with Antimicrobial Function
An antimicrobial sportsball includes a ball carcass having an interior cavity and an antimicrobial ball cover, covering the ball carcass. The antimicrobial ball cover contains and releases antimicrobial agent to the ball surface and the environment. The ball carcass includes an inflatable bladder adapted to be inflated into a designated size and shape and a cushion layer covering the inflatable wound or lined bladder, so as to provide additional cushioning effect and form channels.
PORTABLE TRAINING DEVICE
A portable training device includes a first and second elongated members, a coupling device, a base, a holder device, and a member holder. An elongated slot is positioned between a distal end and a proximate end on at least one side of each of the first and second elongated members. The first elongated member and second elongated member are each received by the coupling device to form a post that extends in a system vertical direction. The member holder has an engagement portion and a member receiving portion. The engagement portion includes a resilient member and a trapezoidal portion. The resilient member and the trapezoidal portion are slidably received in the elongated slot of the first and second elongated members such that the member holder is positioned into a plurality of positions within the elongated slots of the first and second elongated members.
Skill-customized basketball gaming
A basketball gaming system may comprise at least one basketball hoop and at least one goal placement analyzer configured to adjust at least one position parameter of one or more of the at least one basketball hoops according to at least one user parameter associated with at least one user. The basketball gaming system may further comprise at least one hoop placement system configured to position the at least one basketball hoop according to the at least one position parameter. The at least one position parameter may comprise at least one x-axis coordinate, at least one y-axis coordinate, and at least one z-axis coordinate. The basketball gaming system may further comprise at least one hoop switching mechanism configured to select one or more of the at least one basketball hoops. At least one position parameter of the selected one or more basketball hoops is associated with an active status.
Isometric system and method of achieving physical health
The present specification discloses an exercise system comprising a stable support purchase, such as a ballet barre, and an unstable support apparatus, such as a ball or a roller, wherein an individual may support a limb on the unstable support apparatus and selectively contact the stable support purchase for balance while performing an exercise, such as a ballet position, and an associated method comprising the steps of positioning at least one limb on the unstable support apparatus and simultaneously performing the exercise.
BASKETBALL AND RELATED MANUFACTURING METHODS
A basketball that comprises a carcass and a cover assembly. The carcass includes a plurality of recess disposed between a plurality of grooves. The cover assembly includes a plurality of cover panels positioned within the recesses. Each of the plurality of grooves comprises a central channel. The central channel is defined by a bottom wall, a first side wall, and a second side wall. The first and second side walls are substantially planar. The central channel defines a channel depth of between about 3 mm and about 4 mm, and each of the plurality of grooves defines a ridge distance of between about 10 mm and about 12 mm.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSISTING CHILDREN IN LEARNING AND IMPROVING UPON AIM IN BASKETBALL AND OTHER SPORTS ACTIVITIES
A system and method are disclosed for assisting children in learning and improving upon aim in basketball and other sports. The system is adapted for use with a basketball rim secured to a post or a mount, the basketball rim having a recessed portion. The system includes a retainer ring for insertion within or securing to the recess in the basketball rim; and one or more targets secured to the retainer ring, each target comprising a head portion connected to a stem. The target may be a traditional bullseye, a cartoon character, a letter, a number, among many other examples. In use, a child aims for the target, which is positioned just above the basketball rim, as opposed to the rim itself. In so doing, the child positions the basketball for a successful basket and not a rebound off the rim. The system also is configurable for other youth sports, including soccer and baseball as examples.
Adapted fitness equipment
An exercise apparatus includes an adjustable frame being attachable to an assistive ambulation device. The adjustable frame includes removable handles, fitting arms located on a lower portion of the adjustable frame to receive a fitness attachment, and attachment points on located on the lower portion of the adjustable frame to couple a resistance device.
