RESEALABLE LIDDING FOR RIGID THERMOFORMED TUBS
A resealable package, and method for making is provided. The package may comprise a base member configured to receive an item, having a flange. The package may comprise a laminate having, and outer structure and an inner structure joined by an adhesive layer. The laminate defines a lidding member, including a pull tab. The lidding member is affixed to the flange by a seal. The laminate may include an outer line of weakness in the outer structure defining a separable opening portion along the outer line of weakness. The lidding member may comprise a first inner line of weakness in the inner structure, defining a separable opening portion from the inner portion. The lidding member may comprise a second inner line of weakness formed in the inner structure, wherein the second inner line of weakness is disposed between the pull tab and the inner opening portion, partially within the seal.
Packaging for medical containers
Packaging for medical containers, including a tub having a peripheral wall, a sealing cover sealable on an opening of the tub and a sealing envelope able to protect the sealing cover. The sealing envelope includes: a lower sealing part, having a frame able to be sealed to the peripheral wall of the tub, and a bonding surface that extends outwards from the frame, and an upper sealing part sealed on the bonding surface to enclose the opening of the tub and the sealing cover.
Food product packaging
Food products can be stored and sold in packaging. For example, a perishable food product can be stored in a first compartment of a packaging, and a second food product can be stored in a second compartment. The first compartment can include a modified atmosphere to increase the shelf life of the food product in the first compartment. The second compartment can be under normal atmosphere. This allows a more perishable food product to be stored in the first compartment, and a prepackaged, or otherwise less perishable food product to be separately stored in the second compartment, while extending the shelf life of the food products. The first product could be a sandwich, and the second product be one or more condiments for the sandwich.
FOOD PRODUCT PACKAGING WITH PURGE TRAP
A package for retaining a food item includes a base and at least one side wall extending away from the base and terminating at a flange. The flange includes a sealing edge configured to contact a film wrap. The sealing edge is positioned inward of at least a portion of the side wall to guide fluids toward an interior volume of the package.

Stress-absorbing buffer zone for sealed tray
A package includes a tray and a cover configured to seal an open end of the tray when the cover is assembled onto the tray. The tray has a flange extending about a periphery at the open end of the tray. A continuous barrier seal is formed between the flange and the cover when the cover is assembled onto the tray, and a discontinuous sacrificial seal is also formed between the flange and the cover when the cover is assembled onto the tray. The discontinuous sacrificial seal is configured to absorb stress applied to the flange. The continuous barrier seal is disposed closer to an inner periphery of the flange than the discontinuous sacrificial seal. Holes are formed on the corners of the flange, and the holes are spaced apart from the discontinuous sacrificial seal.
PACKAGES, PACKAGED PRODUCTS AND METHODS OF USE
A package includes a lid with a peel initiator portion, a remaining portion, and a lid-flange portion. The package further includes a tray. The tray includes a rigid component and a liner component including a liner-flange portion. The package further includes an adhered area which includes a seal between the peel initiator portion and the liner component. The lid-flange portion includes the peel initiator portion and the remaining portion. The adhered area includes the lid-flange portion of the peel initiator portion and the liner-flange portion. Further, the adhered area includes 90 percent or less of the peel initiator portion.
Medical device packaging
A medical device packaging comprises a container having an opening. A medical device is disposed within the container. The medical device includes an adhesive contact face facing the opening. A first cover is disposed over the opening in the container to close the container. A second cover is disposed over the adhesive contact face of the medical device. The first and second covers are connected such that removal of the first cover from the container causes detachment of the second cover from the medical device.
MULTI-COMPARTMENT ARTICLE DISPENSING PACKAGE
A multi-compartment package for dispensing plural items is disclosed. The package includes plural individual sealed compartment units which are releasably secured to each other. Each compartment unit includes a flanged base from which a chamber depends. The chamber serves to hold an item to be dispensed and is surrounded by a flange. A closure member, in the form of a respective portion of a frangible cover sheet, is adhesively secured to the flange of each compartment unit. Each compartment unit includes at least one foldable tab in a corner of its flange, which can be folded down to enable the closure member to be removed from the compartment unit after the compartment unit is separated from other compartment units of the package.
