SYSTEMS FOR COMPENSATING FOR ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE CHANGES FOR HIGH-ALTITUDE TRANSPORT OF PACKAGES CONTAINING POWDERED AND/OR GRANULAR MATERIALS
A system for compensating for atmospheric pressure changes for high-altitude transport of packages containing powdered and/or granular material may include: one or more packages including a one-way degassing valve configured to flow gaseous substances produced by the powdered and/or granular material outside the one or more packages. Each package may include: a casing; and a containment element configured to wrap the casing. The casing may include: a main body made of expandable material; a capping device associated with the main body; and an insertion opening in the main body. The capping device may include: a tubular sleeve including first coupling means and a bottom wall; a closure element including second coupling means; and first and second one-way valves associated with the bottom wall. The first one-way valve can be configured to allow insertion of gases. The second one-way valve can be configured to allow outflow of gases.
Container and method for manufacturing container
There is provided a container that makes it possible to suppress intrusion of bacteria from the tip of a pleat part into the inside of the container. The container includes: a main body that includes a body part defining a containing portion and a flange part extending outward from an upper portion of the body part; and a lid that is joined to the flange part of the main body via an outer edge seal portion so as to cover the containing portion, the lid being formed by a lid member folded back at a fold-back portion such that portions of the lid member overlap each other. The lid has: a pleat part that includes the portions of the lid member overlapping each other and that extends from an edge of one side to an edge of the other side of the lid in a first direction; and a first lid part and a second lid part that are formed by the lid member and that are arranged on opposite sides of the pleat part. The pleat part includes: a pleat seal portion in which inner surfaces of the portions of the lid member are joined together and that extends from the edge of the one side to the edge of the other side of the lid in the first direction; and a steam passing portion that includes a through hole or a cutout formed in the pleat seal portion. Seal strength of the pleat seal portion is lower than that of the outer edge seal portion.
VALVE FOR A PACKAGING CONTAINER
A valve for a packaging container includes at least one base film (10) with an opening (11), at least one frame film (13) encompassing a free region (17), wherein the frame film (13) is connected to the base film (10), wherein at least one membrane (12) is provided, which is arranged on the base film (10) and covers the opening (11), wherein a fluid is provided between the membrane (12) and the base film (10), wherein the membrane (12) is arranged movably within the free region (17) on the base film (10).
VALVE FOR A PACKAGING CONTAINER
A valve for a packaging container is proposed, wherein the valve comprises at least one base film (10) with an opening (11), at least one frame film (13) encompassing a free region (17), and at least one membrane (12) which is arranged on the base film (10) and covers the opening (11), wherein a fluid is provided between the membrane (12) and the base film (10), wherein the membrane (12) is connected to a surrounding film (20) via at least one connection region (22), the surrounding film (20) being connected on one side to the base film (10) and on its other side to the frame film (13) and the membrane (12) being arranged movably within the free region (17), wherein the surrounding film (20) is open at least in one point, such that a channel (18) is formed.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FOOD STORAGE
An apparatus for the storage of food includes a body portion having a hollow interior configured to receive food, a first end, and a second end opposite the first end. The apparatus further includes a lid configured for selective engagement with the second end of the body portion and a lid assembly configured for selective engagement with the first end of the body portion. The lid assembly includes a crumb filter having a plurality of apertures configured to permit the passage of food crumbs, and a cap, which may be selectively removed from the crumb filter so that food crumbs may be discarded from the body portion.
COOKING METHOD AND APPARATUS
An ovenable cooking apparatus for facilitating the cooking of food components while maintaining the separateness thereof may include a first container for holding a first food component, and a second container for holding a second food component. The separation of the first food component from the second food component maintains the surface area for the first and second food components to facilitate heating of the first and second food components. The first food component may have a liquid based content for producing steam when heated, and one or both of the first container and the second container may define a passage for providing airflow and steam flow for contacting the second container and/or the second foodstuff and heating or steaming the second food component. Additionally, the second container may be steam impermeable for cooking bread and the like.

Drinking bottle for sportspersons, having a case (1), a dome (2) with a drinking valve (3), a base (9) and a protective cap (4), wherein the drinking bottle comprises an insert (5) for preventing sloshing, such that (a) the insert (5) is a bag for receiving drinking fluid which is accessible via the drinking valve (3), wherein there is arranged beneath the bag (5) an expansion element (8) which is suitable for compressing the bag (5) in the direction towards the drinking valve (3) in dependence on the fill level; or (b) the insert (5) comprises multiple stages, which are interconnected; or (c) the insert (5) comprises a filling of a permeable, food-grade material having honeycombs or cells.
RELIEF VALVE
A one-way relief valve for hermetically sealed packages is disclosed, wherein said valve comprises a valve body (100) made of a lower support surface (102) provided with vent holes (101) and a flexible membrane (110) associated with said lower support surface (102) that is capable of switching between a configuration in which the valve is closed and a configuration in which the valve is open. Said membrane (110) is characterised in that it is coloured, in order to facilitate visual inspection by the operator or the machine during the assembly of the valve and/or the production of hermetically sealed packages provided with the valve.
Multilayer container and method for inspecting air leaks in multilayer container
A delaminatable container is provided that includes a valve member allowing suppression of interference with the motion of a mobile part during use. The present invention provides a delaminatable container including an outer shell and an inner bag, the inner bag to be shrunk with a decrease in contents, wherein the outer shell includes a fresh air inlet communicating an external space with an intermediate space between the outer shell and the inner bag, the fresh air inlet has a valve member mounted thereto to regulate air communication between the intermediate space and the external space, the valve member includes a tube having a cavity provided to communicate the external space with the intermediate space and a mobile part movably stored in the cavity.
METHODS OF RECYCLING FLEXIBLE PACKAGES FORMED OF RECYCLABLE BARRIER LAMINATES
Disclosed are recyclable flexible package and a method of recycling such packages. The flexible package includes a hollow body defining an interior chamber for holding an oxygen sensitive product. The body is formed of a laminated film formed of two layers of a single polymer material, e.g., polyethylene, and at least one interposed barrier layer, e.g., polyvinyl alcohol, that is resistant to the passage of oxygen therethrough and which is water-soluble. The single polymer constitutes at least 95% by weight of the laminated film, whereupon the package is suitable for recycling without requiring separation of the materials thereof by shredding the laminated film and subjecting those pieces to an aqueous wash to dissolve the barrier layer.
