A laminate includes an outer liner having a filament mesh disposed between a paper sheet and a resin layer. The resin layer and mesh extend between first and second opposed lateral edges of the sheet. A cushion layer is disposed over the resin layer. An inner liner of kraft paper is disposed over the cushion layer. A region of the resin layer is activated into an adhesive bonding the cushion layer and inner liner to the sheet. The laminate defines first and second longitudinally adjacent portions. The outer liner in the first portion has opposed first and second peripheral portions extending laterally outward from opposed lateral edges of the cushion layer and inner liner to the first and second lateral edges of the sheet, whereby a first width between the lateral edges along the first portion exceeds a second width measured the lateral edges along the second portion.

METHOD FOR INFLATING AIRBAGS
20210291475 · 2021-09-23 ·

Disclosed is a system and method for inflating airbags. The system includes a series of pair of pulleys arranged in two parallel rows. The two pulleys of the pair are in the first row and the second row. Each pulley having its periphery configured with a semicircular concave groove that extends between two edges, wherein the semicircular concave grooves of a pair of pulleys form a tunnel. Each pulley in the first row can rotate clockwise, while each pulley in the second row rotates anticlockwise. A cylindrical air tube can be positioned in the tunnel wherein the air tube is closed at one end and connected to a compressed air source at opposite end. The air tube has spaced apertures along its length, wherein the apertures are located at bottom of the air tube. An airbag with two flaps can be mounted on the inflation system, wherein the two flaps are pressed on the air tube by the pair of pulleys and each pair of pulleys can drag the flaps, and thus the airbag, forward on the air tube.

WEBS OF CUSHIONED CLOSABLE BAGS

A web of preformed bags includes a sheet material and a cushioning material. The sheet material includes two sheets that are arranged to form a series of bags. The sheets are connected together to form sides of each of the bags. Each of the bags is bounded by an opening and the sides where sheets are connected together. The cushioning material is coupled to inner surfaces of the sheets in each of the bags. The web further includes a line of weakness in at least one of the sheets between each of the bags. After an object is loaded in one of the bags, the opening of the one of the bags is configured to be sealed closed with the object therein such that the cushioning material in the one of the bags is arranged to cushion the object when the one of the bags is sealed closed.

Crimped cushioned envelopes and method of forming the same

A cushioned envelope is formed from a laminated material that includes a cushioning web and a shell web. The outer side of the cushioning web is laminated to the inner side of the shell web. A crimping adhesive is applied to first and second transverse seams of the inner side of the cushioning web. The laminated web material is crimped so that each of the first and second transverse seams on the inner side of the cushioning web is folded in on itself. The folded laminated web material is crimped at the first transverse seam and at the second transverse seam. The crimped laminated web material is cut at a location in the first transverse seam and at a location in the second transverse seam.

Flexible shipping package

A shipping package having a flexible inner sheet having a first surface and a second surface. The package has an article reservoir for accepting an article to be shipped and one or more expansion chambers. The expansion chambers can be inflated or otherwise expanded to provide structure to the package and to protect the article in the article reservoir.

M-type inflatable bag

An M-type inflatable bag includes a bottom wall, two side walls, two protective walls and two connecting portions. The bottom wall includes a plurality of bottom gas columns. Each of the side walls includes a plurality of side gas columns. Each side wall is located on two opposite sides of the bottom wall. The side walls and the bottom wall are divided at a joint to form a receiving space and a limiting space. The protective walls include a plurality of protective gas columns, and the protective walls are separately located outside the side walls. The connecting portion includes a plurality of first heat sealing nodes adjacent to the side wall and a plurality of second heat sealing nodes adjacent to the bottom wall. When the side wall and the bottom wall are bent, a buffer bump is formed between a first virtual bending line and a second virtual bending line.
