Expandable secondary package for a container
A container comprised a container body having a first cavity for receiving a product therein, the container body having a front surface, back surface, first sidewall and second sidewall, and a cover having an opening extending thereinto, said opening configured to receive said container body therein, the cover comprising an outer wall, an inner wall and a second cavity defined between said outer wall and inner wall, said second cavity housing a protective material therein. The protective material moves the cover from a first configuration defining a first inner profile of the inner wall of the cover to a second configuration defining a second inner profile of the cover, said second inner profile being smaller than the first inner profile.
Customizable product package and a method of forming the same
A customizable product package and a method of forming the same are disclosed herein. The customizable product package includes a first layer of wrapping material, at least a portion of the first layer of wrapping material configured to be disposed against an object, the first layer of wrapping material configured to protect the object and provide a packaging base layer; a second layer of inner fill material, the second layer of inner fill material adhered to the first layer of wrapping material by an adhesive agent, the second layer of inner fill material configured to provide a cushioning layer so as to further protect the object; and a third layer of outer wrapping material, the third layer of outer wrapping material compressing the second layer of inner fill material and forming a generally smooth box-like exterior suitable for shipping the object.

CRIMPED CUSHIONED ENVELOPES AND METHOD OF FORMING THE SAME
A cushioned envelope is formed from a laminated material that includes a cushioning web and a shell web. The outer side of the cushioning web is laminated to the inner side of the shell web. A crimping adhesive is applied to first and second transverse seams of the inner side of the cushioning web. The laminated web material is crimped so that each of the first and second transverse seams on the inner side of the cushioning web is folded in on itself. The folded laminated web material is crimped at the first transverse seam and at the second transverse seam. The crimped laminated web material is cut at a location in the first transverse seam and at a location in the second transverse seam.

On-demand inflatable packaging
A method for converting a web of preformed pouches to on-demand inflatable packaging. The method may include moving the web along a path of travel, attaching an outer skin to the outside of the web, and packaging the web into a non-inflated and stored configuration. The method may also include moving the web along a path of travel, depositing at least one product into each of a plurality of the preformed pouches, and inflating each of the preformed pouches to form a cushioning material.

PACKAGING MATERIAL, PACKAGING BAG, PACKAGED ARTICLE, AND PACKAGING METHOD
The packaging material includes a packaging material body formed into a sheet shape as a whole by welding two film sheets having an upper sheet and a lower sheet together at appropriate points; an air introduction path having the packaging material body, one side thereof serving as an air introduction port and the other side sealed; a plurality of air bags having the packaging material body while being in communication with the air introduction path, and extending in a direction orthogonal to the air introduction path; and check valves provided to respective air inlets of the plurality of air bags and preventing escaping of air having been introduced through the air introduction port and introduced into the air bags through the air inlets. The packaging material body is bent and welded at appropriate points, whereby a packaging bag for storing a packaged object is provided.
Shock-absorbing packaging material having multi-layered air cells
The present disclosure relates to a shock-absorbing packaging material having multi-layered air cells. Between outer covers forming air cells, an auxiliary inner cover is provided to be fused alternately and partially with the outer covers and thus form air cells of a multi-layered structure, which are alternately stacked between the outer covers. When packaging an article using the shock-absorbing packaging material, it is possible to more safely protect the article due to an enhancement in shock-absorbency through the air cells of a multi-layered structure. Moreover, the structure of the air cells of a multi-layered structure, which are alternately stacked, may effectively block heat transfer between the inside and the outside of the packaging material through portions where the air cells are connected with each other, whereby the shock-absorbing packaging material having multi-layered air cells may be useful for packaging an article which needs to be kept warm or cold.
