CONTAINER FOR TRANSPORTING EQUIPMENT FOR SPACE-RELATED APPLICATIONS
A container for transporting satellite equipment and other equipment into low-orbit and deep space includes vacuum rigidizing structures covering the interior of each side wall and base of the container. The vacuum rigidizing structures contain microbeads and is connected to a pump mechanism able to transfer air into or out of the vacuum rigidizing structures. Before the equipment is added to the container, air is released from the vacuum rigidizing structures. After the equipment is added, the vacuum rigidizing structures are able to be inflated enough such that the microbeads compactly conform around the equipment, preventing movement while applying minimal pressure to the equipment. The container is capped with a lid lined with aerospace-grade foam.
PACKAGING SYSTEM
The present apparatus and system relate to a structure for housing and containing products together and protecting products within a container from agitation and blunt force trauma. A resilient plug is adapted to fit within a container and contact a product housed within the container. When the container exhibits forces from movement, the plug dampens the impact of the movement by steadying the product within the container. Multiple containers may be mixed and matched and held together with a bundler that allows for easy insertion of the containers into the bundler but more difficult removal from the bundler.

COMPOSITE CASE FOR MEDICAL APPLICATIONS
A protective carrying case for medical supplies is disclosed, wherein the protective carrying case includes a top component, a bottom component, and semi-hexagonal ends, wherein the top component and the bottom component are constructed from carbon fiber. The protective carrying case additionally includes a retaining element with vacuum split functionality to retain elements within the case. The retaining element includes a flexible bag with an outer antimicrobial layer for safe and sanitary transport of the medical supplies.
Adhering modular elements for packaging structures
In response to a request to package item(s), embodiments determine characteristic data for the item(s), which include an indication of a volume of each item. Container(s) for packaging the item(s) is determined based at least on the volume of each item. An arrangement of the item(s) in the container(s) is determined. One or more protective structures including one or more features are configured to position the item(s) in the container(s) according to the arrangement. Relative positions are determined for a plurality of modular elements to form the one or more protective structures. Subsets of the plurality of modular elements are deposited to corresponding relative positions to form at least one of the protective structures. The item(s) are packaged in the container(s) with the one or more protective structures to position the item(s) in the container(s) in the arrangement.
Corner protector for box pads
A corner cover for protecting a ground-interface surface is disclosed, including a first plate; a second plate, wherein the second plate is positioned substantially perpendicular to the first plate; a central protrusion, wherein the central protrusion is positioned at a joint between the first plate and the second plate, further wherein the central protrusion having a first end and a second end; a pointed blade, wherein the pointed blade is formed at the first end of the joint between the first plate and the second plate; and a lip, wherein the lip is positioned at the second end of the central protrusion.
Method of packing an object in a shipping box
A packing material including a strip of corrugated cellulosic material and a method of packing an object in a shipping box using the packing material. The strip of corrugated cellulosic material includes a plurality of macro flutes and is moveable between an expanded state and a compressed state. The strip of corrugated cellulosic material is in the compressed state when a compression force is applied to the strip of corrugated cellulosic material in the longitudinal direction and in the expanded state when the compression force is removed. The length of the strip of corrugated cellulosic material is longer in the expanded state than the compressed state.
CUSHIONING, PACKING, AND PACKAGE
Cushioning supports a bottom corner section of an article being packed. The corner section has a bottom face, a first side face, and a second side face. The cushioning includes a first cushioning member and a second cushioning member that are separable from each other. The first cushioning member includes a bottom section that faces the bottom face of the corner section of the packed article and a first side section that faces the first side face of the corner section of the packed article. The second cushioning member includes a second side section that faces the second side face of the corner section of the packed article.
Shipping System for Shipping Glass Sheets
A shipping system for shipping planar substrates includes a plurality of planar substrates stacked to form a pack and a plurality of interleaving material including substantially spherical beads positioned between the substrates of the pack and configured to carry a load. Substantially all of the beads have a diameter within 25% of D.sub.max, where D.sub.max is a diameter corresponding to a size of an opening of an upper limit sieve used in the shipping system. Also disclosed are a spacer for use in a shipping system for shipping planar substrates, a wrapped system for shipping planar substrates, a method of wrapping a system for shipping planar substrates, and a powder applicator.
PROTECTIVE DOOR PACKAGING FOR PREHUNG DOOR ASSEMBLIES AND METHOD OF PACKAGING PREHUNG DOOR ASSEMBLIES
A single unit protective door package for packaging of a single prehung door assembly. The door assembly comprises a door frame and a door slab pivotally attached to the door frame. The door frame includes right and left side jambs and a head jamb connecting upper ends of the right and left side jambs. The single unit protective door package comprises the door assembly, upper protective side caps each mounted to the door assembly at one of opposite upper corners of the door frame, lower protective side caps each mounted to the door assembly at one of lowermost edges of the door frame, and two support spacers each mounted to one of the lowermost edges of the door frame for elevating a bottom edge of the door slab above the ground to a distance compatible with a forklift, pallet jack or hand truck.
