Securing apparatus for packaging and shipping
A securing apparatus includes a main body that defines a cavity sized to receive a portion of an object, such as a box's corner. The securing apparatus includes at least one anchor extending from the main body that is configured to engage with the corner portion of the object such that the securing apparatus may be removably coupled thereto. The main body of the securing apparatus may include eyelets configured to receive a length of filament such that multiple objects may be secured to one another during packaging and shipping. Additionally, the securing apparatus may also include a projecting finger that is configured to retain a length of filament that may be used to attach the object more securely to a pallet or other structure for shipping.
Retention System for Articles Packed in a Container for the Transport Thereof and Mounting Tool
The container has a base and lateral walls. The system of the invention comprises at least one retention support configured to be mounted on an area of the internal surface of the container; where said retention support is in contact with at least part of a body to be secured, which rests on the base of the container. The body to be secured is restrained inside the container on a plane selected from among a horizontal plane parallel to the base of the container, a vertical plane perpendicular to said base of the container, and two perpendicular planes: the horizontal plane parallel to the base of the container and the vertical plane perpendicular to the base of the container.
FLUID CONTAINER WITH CHECK VALVE
A fluid container has a first and second flexible membrane forming at least one chamber, a channel configured to receive pressurized inert gas, and one or more check valve assemblies disposed therebetween. The one or more check valve assemblies is formed from a continuous third flexible membrane folded at an apex, and configured to provide the flow of pressurized fluid in one direction upon inflation, from the channel to the at least one chamber, while restricting flow in the opposite direction. Advantageously, the one or more check valve assemblies do not require pre-printing or electronic registering and are larger thus allowing for an inflation flow rate at least twice that of conventional inflatable packaging systems. The third flexible membrane may also be configured in an S-bend thereby providing a single check valve. A port may be disposed at the inlet of the channel to facilitate filling of the fluid.
WASHER BASE
A washer base used to support components of a washing machine or other large household appliance, particularly the centralized load elements, during assembly, shipping and handling by restricting their movement is provided.
Method and apparatus for secured packing of objects
A packaging block that includes a body section having a aperture defined therein. A hinge defines a first portion of the body section and a second portion of the body section. The first portion is rotatably coupled to the second portion via the hinge. A plurality of selectively removable sections are removably coupled to the body section. The aperture receives at least a portion of an article to facilitate securement of the article during packaging and transport.
Notched Corner Post for Appliance Packaging
A notched corner post for a package for a product having a first wall and a second wall intersecting at a vertical corner, and a top panel extends outward beyond the second wall to define an overhanging lip. The notched corner post may include a first leg extending upward from a post bottom edge to a first post top edge, and a second leg extending upward to a second post top edge that is lower than the first post top edge to define a notch of the notched corner post. When the notched corner post is installed in the package at the vertical corner, the first leg may engage the first wall with the first post top edge at least level the product top surface, and the second leg may engage the second wall with the second post top edge disposed under the lip bottom surface.
FOAM PACKAGING APPARATUS
A foam packaging pad for enclosing and packaging an article includes a single sheet of material having a top section, a bottom section, a plurality of wall sections, and at least one first extended section configured to extend from one of the plurality of wall sections toward a side of the bottom section connected to the one of the plurality of wall sections. The single sheet of material includes a plurality of cutting portions cut through an entire thickness of the material and a plurality of connecting hinge portions connected between the plurality of wall sections and the bottom section such that each of the plurality of wall sections is positioned in an angle relative to the bottom section. Further, the wall sections are configured to be folded substantially perpendicular to the bottom section to form a container for receiving the article.
Shipping system for shipping glass sheets
A shipping system for shipping planar substrates includes a plurality of planar substrates stacked to form a pack and a plurality of interleaving material including substantially spherical beads positioned between the substrates of the pack and configured to carry a load. Substantially all of the beads have a diameter within 25% of D.sub.max, where D.sub.max is a diameter corresponding to a size of an opening of an upper limit sieve used in the shipping system. Also disclosed are a spacer for use in a shipping system for shipping planar substrates, a wrapped system for shipping planar substrates, a method of wrapping a system for shipping planar substrates, and a powder applicator.
Divider and divider plate
An object transport system includes a plate having an array of apertures; and a plurality of dividers, each of the dividers including an elongate throat connecting a head to a base, wherein the base is arranged to be inserted into one of the apertures.
