The present invention provides a vacuum sealed, container suitable for containing preserved pickled food. In a preferred approach, the container includes at least one foil wall formed from a flexible foil and defining a chamber; pickled food within the chamber; and brine, in which the food is immersed, and which fills the chamber when the chamber is sealed. Preferably, the ratio of brine to pickled food by mass is in the range 1:2.5 to :5. The claimed containers can reduce the mess associated with eating pickled foods from traditional containers, and can assist in improving the shelf life of such foods.

Deactivation wipe kit

A hazardous drug deactivation wipe kit includes a first pouch having a one-way valve coupled to an end thereof, a second pouch, and a third pouch. The first pouch contains a wipe saturated in a hypochlorite solution, the second pouch contains a wipe saturated in thiosulfate solution, and the third pouch contains a wipe saturated in isopropyl alcohol solution. The deactivation wipe kit may be used in a clean room to deactivate most hazardous drugs on a work surface.

HYDROPHILIC MEDICAL PRODUCTS AND HYDRATION MEDIUMS FOR HYDRATING THE SAME

Hydration mediums, assemblies containing hydration mediums and methods of making the same are disclosed. The hydration mediums are intended for hydrating or wetting a medical device such as a catheter and comprise a hydration foam. Furthermore, methods and products involving hydrophilic substances are disclosed e.g. involving mucilage, deep eutectic liquids, antifreeze substances or cryoprotectants, oil or a hydration medium together with water, surfactant, polyol and stabilizer.

An intermittent urinary catheter assembly

A urinary catheter assembly is provided. The catheter assembly has a first outer package (20), which contains a second inner package (1). The second inner package includes a hydrophilic coated, intermittent catheter 82) and liquid swelling medium. The first outer package is made of a first material with a WVTR value between 1 and 6 g/(m.sup.2.Math.24 h) and the second inner package is made of a second material with a second WVTR value below 3 g/(m.sup.2.Math.24 h). An intermediate cavity (25) is defined inside the first outer package, but outside the second inner package. The first and second WVTR-values are balanced in such a way that the relative humidity (RH) is below 90% in the intermediate cavity. This prevents condensation on the inner surface of the first outer package and on the outer surface of the second inner package.

Sensor apparatus with liquid container and wiper

A sensor apparatus comprising a portable sensor body. The sensor body includes a support with one or more sensing electrodes, and electric connections connecting to the electrodes. The apparatus further includes a storage container, designed to receive at least a part of the support that includes one or more of the electrodes, for storing the sensor body. The container comprises a deformable wiper. The wiper is shaped correspondingly with the support and electrodes thereof, to wipe liquid (and/or other materials contained therein) off the support responsive to inserting the latter in the container and, conversely, responsive to de-inserting the support from the container. Mutually corresponding parts of the sensor body and the container may form a fastener, so as to be able to create a non-permanent joint between the sensor body and the container responsive to the sensor body being fully inserted in the container.
