A ball training device includes a support, a ball holder for loading a ball, and an elastic tether cord connecting the ball holder to the support. The ball holder includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and a plurality of straps. Each strap connects the top portion to the bottom portion. The plurality of straps includes at least one longitudinal strap and at least one securing strap. The at least one longitudinal strap is made from continuous pieces of material with the top portion and the bottom portion. The securing strap is detachable and includes a first securing portion extending from the top portion, and a second securing portion extending from the bottom portion and securing to the first securing portion. The ball training device is easy to load and unload a ball by closing and opening the securing strap, and it is easy to retrieve the ball.

A sports performance sensor for an implement used in sports, such as a bat or baseball. The implement, e.g. the bat or baseball, is formed with an area inside that can include circuitry. The circuitry can measure rotation acceleration, and speed. The outer surface of this device has pressure sensing fabric, which senses location and pressure on the outer surface. This can form a pressure map of where the user's fingers are touching the outer surface. The information from the user's performance in using the device are transmitted to an external computer such as a phone which creates a pressure sensing map. This pressure sensing map can then be compared to data from either the same user at a different time or from other users. This can be specific to different actions, for example it can be specific to the user throwing a specific kind of pitch, or the user carrying out a specific operation such as swinging a bat to hit a specific kind of pitch.

An upper limb rehabilitation training system in two-person standing type and an application method thereof are provided. The upper limb rehabilitation training system includes an upper limb rehabilitation training platform, two weight-reducing suspending support structures arranged oppositely, and two standing frames arranged oppositely; the upper limb rehabilitation training platform includes an all-in-one computer which includes a computer and a touch display screen, and a periphery of the touch display screen is provided with a grating structure; the upper limb rehabilitation training platform is provided with a two-person interactive upper limb training module including two control handles, a virtual training prop and a virtual training scene. The two control handles are suspended from the two weight-reducing suspending support structures, respectively; the grating structure is configured to identify the control handles and positions thereof. The computer controls the two control handles to perform game interaction with the virtual training prop.

An American-style football having a major longitudinal dimension extending about a longitudinal axis and including an inflatable prolate spheroidal shaped bladder, a lining positioned about the bladder, a cover assembly, a lacing and a thin electronic tag. The cover assembly includes at least first, second, third and fourth cover panels collectively positioned over the bladder and the lining. The lacing extends along a longitudinal plane extending through the longitudinal axis and is coupled to the first and fourth cover panels. The tag is positioned between the lining and the cover assembly. The tag is covered by at least one of the first and fourth cover panels but not covered by the second and third cover panels. The tag is configured to enable at least one characteristic of the football to be monitored during use. In another example implementation, the tag is positioned between the lining and the bladder.

A system and method for recording and broadcasting motion of a sports ball and individual players includes a sports ball with cameras embedded within for recording trajectory and locomotion, a sensor module for storing video footage and telemetry metadata, and cameras mounted on the sports equipment of individual players. The sensor module includes an Inertia Measuring Unit, a transceiver, a memory, a power source, and a processor, all operatively connected to one another. The sports ball sends data to a wireless data transmission grid mounted under a sports pitch and/or to antennas for transfer to a data processing server which determines a real ball direction thereafter sent to a stadium camera system that generates further 360 degree action-focused broadcasting data. The data is sent to the processing server which processes the raw footage received from the sports ball and individual players to produce clean footage for various applications.

A system for illustrating the flight of a sports ball includes a radar, an imager, and a controller. The imager is configured to image a moving sports ball. The controller is configured to (i) receive, from the imager, an image including the moving sports ball, (ii) receive, from the radar, radar data associated with the moving sports ball, (iii) determine, from the radar data, a portion of a trajectory of the moving sports ball, (iv) alter the image to illustrate the portion of the trajectory relative to the moving sports ball, and (v) output the altered image.

Protective headgear includes, for example, a headgear body that is wearable on a head of a baseball umpire. At least one sensor is configured to generate imaging data that includes a batter in proximity to home plate. A processor analyzes the imaging data to determine a strike zone of the batter and to generate augmented reality data in response thereto. A display device generates a heads up display of the strike zone that is viewable to the baseball umpire during a pitch to the batter, based on the augmented reality data. Each of the plurality of panels includes (a) a first layer having a first thickness, formed from a polymer material, and positioned to form a portion of an exterior surface of the sport ball; (b) a second layer having a second thickness, formed from a polymer foam material, and positioned inward and adjacent to the first layer; and (c) a third layer positioned inward and adjacent to the second layer. The first layer defines a first indentation therein. The first layer is bonded directly to the third layer at the first indentation, and the first indentation has a first indentation thickness equal to a sum of the first thickness and the second thickness. The sport ball also includes a bladder located within the casing.

A plurality of clamping grooves is concavely defined on an outer side surface of the center rod. The plurality of the clamping grooves vertically extends.
