CARTRIDGE AND MACHINE FOR MULTI-COMPONENT BEVERAGE PREPARATION
The invention relates to a cartridge (1) for preparation of a beverage upon injection of liquid into the cartridge, the cartridge comprising at least a first compartment (2) and a second compartment (3) for holding beverage ingredients, an injection area (4) for receiving a liquid injected into the cartridge, and flow dividing means (8) designed for providing a fluid communication between the injection area (4) and the first and second compartment (2, 3), wherein the flow dividing means (8) are designed to provide a preferred flow path for liquid from the injection area (4) to the first and second compartment [2, 3) and to outlet means (9, 10) of the cartridge.
CONTAINER WITH THERMALLY INSULATED COMPARTMENTS
A food storage container includes two or more thermally insulated compartments that can facilitate storage of hot and cold items in a single container. The container includes sidewalls and interior walls that provide thermally insulated barriers. The container further includes a cover that also provides a thermally insulated barrier and securely complements each of the compartments within the container. The cover also includes a gasket or seal along its perimeter.
Rigid Packages Having Peelable Hermetic Seals
The disclosed principles provide for a welding technique welding the flanges of a rigid lid sealed onto a rigid tray, such that the two may be easily separated but still repeatedly reclosable such that the rigid package may be reused. For this unique and advantageous ultrasonic welding technique, the disclosed principles provide for the inclusion of a unique delamination layer between the similar rigid materials used for forming the flanges of both the lid and the tray. The disclosed principles provide for the delamination layer to be provide on one or both of the two rigid materials, but behind the seal interphase area so that the hermitic seal may still be created. This delamination layer operates such that it peels apart (i.e., delaminates) as the ultrasonically sealed rigid material of the lid flange and rigid material of the tray flange are pulled apart while opening the package initially.
FOOD PACKAGE AND METHOD FOR TRANSFER OF FOOD
The invention relates to a bottom part intended to receive food thereon, and a container part where the said bottom part and the container part are intended to enclose the said food. The package is provided with means to hold the bottom part and the container part together in a detachable fashion and means to separate the said bottom part from the container part fully or partially. Separating takes the form of removing the said bottom part with the bottom part of the package standing in an essentially horizontal position on a serving surface so that the food is so arranged as to come into contact with the serving surface, as a consequence of which the said container part is essentially retained in its position enclosing the said food. The invention also relates to a method for transferring food from a package to a serving surface.
Multi-cup arrangement for foodstuff packaging
The present invention provides a multi-cup arrangement comprising a polypropylene sheet, wherein the polypropylene sheet comprises at least two cavities, the cavities each protruding from the sheet from a bottom surface of the sheet, wherein the cavities are separated from each other via one or more spacer area(s) on the sheet, wherein the spacer area(s) each comprise one or more groove(s) on the bottom surface of the sheet that are positioned to allow the sheet to be broken along the groove by bending the sheet towards the top surface, wherein the grooves are positioned to divide the sheet into multiple segments, each segment comprising one or more cavities, wherein each of the groove(s) has a maximum depth of ?25% and ?80% with regard to the thickness of the polypropylene sheet. Such multi-cup arrangement may be separated into individual cup segments by moderate manual force, whilst the arrangement does not undesirably bend nor snap under the action of its own weight.
POD CAPSULES
Disclosed herein are pod capsules and methods for making same. A pod capsule includes a sustainable material pod capsule container. The sustainable material pod capsule container including a flange, a sidewall connected to the flange, an external surface of the sidewall including gripping sections, and abase connected to the sidewall. The pod capsule includes a lid configured to be fused to the sustainable material pod capsule container, the lid including at least a removeable portion. Squeezing of the gripping sections causes contents in the pod capsule to be dispensed via a released removeable portion through a deformable contoured dispensing area.
Food product packaging
Food products can be stored and sold in packaging. For example, a perishable food product can be stored in a first compartment of a packaging, and a second food product can be stored in a second compartment. The first compartment can include a modified atmosphere to increase the shelf life of the food product in the first compartment. The second compartment can be under normal atmosphere. This allows a more perishable food product to be stored in the first compartment, and a prepackaged, or otherwise less perishable food product to be separately stored in the second compartment, while extending the shelf life of the food products. The first product could be a sandwich, and the second product be one or more condiments for the sandwich.
MIXING CONTAINER, MIXING CONTAINER KIT, METHOD OF USING MIXING CONTAINER OR MIXING CONTAINER KIT, AND ASSISTIVE DEVICE OF MIXING CONTAINER
A mixing container for mixing multiple materials comprises a container body in which multiple storage chambers are formed in a storage part by a partition wall that is a raised portion of a wall surface forming the storage part, and a lid member attached to the container body such that the multiple storage chambers are separately sealed; the partition wall is configured to be deformable into a concave part recessed in a movement direction of the partition wall through movement in a direction from the lid member toward the container body with a circumferential edge of the storage part sealed to the lid member; and when the partition wall is deformed into the concave part, the multiple storage chambers are deformed into one storage chamber.
Conformable personal care articles
A personal care article includes a first personal care composition in a first zone and a second personal care composition in a second zone such that the first and second zones are defined by one or more barriers.
Multi-compartment products containing wet and dry food components
The present disclosure provides multi-component food products having a wet food component and a dry food component. The multi-component food product is shelf-stable and does not include any artificial preservatives. Methods for providing a shelf-stable multi-component food product having a wet food component and a dry food component without artificial preservatives to a consumer are also provided, as are methods for marketing such a shelf-stable multi-component food product.
