20240270436 · 2024-08-15 ·

A paper-based bakeable tray having a bottom area, a peripheral sidewall disposed around said bottom area and extending a distance upwardly from said bottom area thereby defining a tray volume in which a food product is received. The bottom area includes a plurality of diecuts. The bottom area may be generally flat or may have raised contour surfaces or an embossed pattern, or a combination of any of the foregoing. The tray may include retaining tabs that may be folded upwardly to help retain the food product on the tray when inserting the tray with the food product into the oven.

Blanks for forming clamshell containers and the resulting clamshell containers are described. The clamshell containers include a tray and a lid that are hingedly connected together. The tray is liquid tight, and typically includes gussets on each corner to prevent leakage. The lid and tray can be locked via at least one locking mechanism, optionally two different locking mechanisms. A first locking mechanism involves a front panel on the tray, with an extension portion that terminates in a hook or tab. The extension portion can fold over the front panel of the lid, and the hook or tabs slide into a slit(s) on the top of the lid. An optional second locking mechanism involves lid detents and tray detents. In some embodiments, in the locked position, the lid detents are underneath the tray detents and the tray detents retain the lid detents in place until a force is applied.

THERMALLY RESISTANT AQUEOUS INKS

The present invention relates to a method of providing a packaged food product comprising printing a substrate with an aqueous printing ink composition, drying said ink composition to provide a printed substrate and packaging a food stuff with said printed substrate, wherein the method excludes printing or applying any layers over the dried ink composition, wherein the ink composition comprises water and polyester resin. The present invention also relates to use of an aqueous printing ink for printing on a substrate, wherein the printed substrate has less than 50 ppb migratable species when heated to temperatures in excess of 150? C., wherein the aqueous ink composition comprises water and polyester resin.

Method of manufacturing a seasoning bag

In a method for manufacturing a seasoning bag, an edible adhesive is applied to a panel of a bag in a pattern of spaced apart lines. A granular seasoning is applied to the panel of the bag such that the granular seasoning adheres to the edible adhesive pattern to produce a seasoning layer having a pattern substantially the same as the edible adhesive pattern.

PACKAGING FOR A FOOD ITEM
20180346228 · 2018-12-06 ·

A packaging or wrapping for a food product, capable of resisting to high temperatures and of eliminating the overpressure generated by the water vapour inside the packaging due to temperature rise, without the same packaging having any aperture communicating its inside and the outside environment. The packaging is also adapted to restrain/reduce the emission of odor-generating substances that are generated during the heating or baking of the packaged food product, with respect to what occurs in the absence of a packaging, or with a packaging provided with apertures.

Heat-resistant tray particularly for food products as well as an oven for use in the heating thereof

By, according to the invention, producing a food product tray (1) with a lid (2) using a basic material (3) such as aluminum, and providing said material (3) with a coating (4) comprising at least two layers (9 and 10), of which at least one of the materials has a high emission value, it is possible with a suitable dimensioning and placement of the coating (4) on the inner and/or outer side of the tray (1) and the lid (2) to obtain a hitherto unknown precise heating of the individual food products within the same heating time in an oven (12). The oven (12) has heating elements (14-16) which may abut against the sides and bottom of the tray as well as against the lid (2), said heating elements (14-16) may have a zonal heat emission in order to obtain the best possible cooking of the food. A QR code (20) on the lid (2) readable by the oven (12) allows for programming the oven with a view to both heat exposure intensity and position of the heat exposure in relation to the food products (6A and 7A) in the tray (1).

Ovenable package

Described are ovenable or cook-in packages that maintain a hermetic seal. The packages include an information-laden header portion, a product portion that includes the hermetic seal and a line of weakness. The information-laden header portion is removably connected to the product portion by the line of weakness. The hermetic seal is maintained after the information-laden header portion is removed from the product portion.

Food package and method for transfer of food

The invention relates to a bottom part intended to receive food thereon, and a container part where the bottom part and the container part are intended to enclose the food. The package is provided with means to hold the bottom part and the container part together in a detachable fashion and means to separate the bottom part from the container part fully or partially. Separating takes the form of removing the bottom part with the bottom part of the package standing in an essentially horizontal position on a serving surface so that the food is so arranged as to come into contact with the serving surface, as a consequence of which the container part is essentially retained it its position enclosing the food. The invention also relates to a method for transferring food from a package to a serving surface.
