Tablet counting apparatus and method having a time out feature
A tablet counting apparatus and method and an associated control device are provided to ensure that the same type of tablets is transferred from a canister to a counter following the replacement of one canister with another. In addition to the counter and the replaceable canister, the tablet counting apparatus includes a gate that moves between closed and open positions. The tablet counting apparatus further includes a controller configured, following installation of the canister, to provide an authorization command to authorize the gate to be opened by being moved from the closed position to the open position. The tablet counting apparatus additionally includes a timer responsive to the authorization command. The controller is also configured to be responsive to the timer so as no longer provide the authorization command following expiration of the timer to prevent the gate from being subsequently opened if the gate has not already been opened.
AN EARPLUG DISPENSING SYSTEM
An earplug dispensing system (10), comprising an earplug dispenser (11) and a support plate (12), wherein the dispenser (11) comprises a container (13) for earplugs, a dispensing mechanism having a dispensing aperture (14) and a movable element operably arranged for selectively dispensing earplugs from the container (13) through the aperture (14), and a control device (15) for operating the dispensing mechanism, wherein the support plate (12) on a front side (17) is provided with the earplug dispenser (11) and on a back side (19) is provided with one or more fastening devices (20) for fastening the support plate (12) to a vertical surface. The fastening devices (20) comprise a permanent magnet (21) for fastening the system to the vertical surface, wherein the magnet (21) has a back side provided with a friction-increasing material (22) for preventing the earplug dispensing system (10) from displacement in a plane of the vertical surface.

The device also comprises: —a central axis (5) extending longitudinally in the main body; —a helical ramp (3) comprising a track winding around the central axis, the central axis (5) being able to rotate with respect to said helical ramp; —a pusher (4) interposed in the helical ramp, said pusher (4) being linked to the central axis (5) such that, when the central axis (5) rotates with respect to said helical ramp (3), said pusher (4) is moved along the track of the helical ramp (3); and —an actuator mounted at the second end of the main body, for causing the central axis (5) to rotate with respect to the helical ramp (3). The invention also concerns an assembly comprising such a device and balls of product.

STORAGE CONTAINER FOR AUTOMATED DISPENSING OF INDIVIDUAL MEDICAMENT PORTIONS
Described herein are methods and systems for automated dispensing of individual medicament portions. The systems can include a housing that encloses a receiving space having a bottom surface. A separation device may be provided and arranged on the bottom surface with at least one channel to receive at least one medicament portion. At least one channel may have an opening facing the receiving space and an opening facing the bottom surface. The opening facing the bottom surface may be associated with a contact area on the bottom surface, over which contact area the medicament portions may be guided upon a movement of separation device. At least one recess may be arranged in the bottom surface outside of the contact area to receive contamination particles present in the container.
