APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR AN ORAL NICOTINE DISPENSING SYSTEM
An apparatus and method for an oral nicotine dispensing system. The apparatus includes storing a plurality of a pods in a magazine within a body, receiving a fingerprint scan from a user via a fingerprint scanner coupled to the body, authenticating the fingerprint scan, de-activating a locking mechanism to allow access to at least a pod upon successful authentication of the fingerprint scan, and dispensing, using at least a drive mechanism, the at least a pod from the magazine through an opening of the body.
METHODS FOR DISPENSING ITEMS
Mechanisms for dispensing items such as medications and medical supplies. Different mechanisms may be tailored to dispensing different kinds of items, for example medications in single dose packages, vials, syringes, or other similarly-shaped items. The dispensers may be placed in a dispensing unit that includes a lockable restock drawer and a dispense drawer into which items are dispensed by the dispensing mechanisms. The various kinds of dispensing mechanisms may be installed in the restock drawer in any workable proportion and arrangement. The dispensing mechanisms include multiple sensing technologies for tracking and inventory of items and for accurate sensing of items as they are dispensed.

Pill Sorting Container
An apparatus for sorting pills has a body defining a plurality of receptacles. A slide plate is positioned on the body. The slide plate defines a first plurality of openings. The slide plate is slidable relative to the body about and between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the first plurality of openings are offset from respective receptacles of the plurality of receptacles so that the slide plate blocks the plurality of receptacles. In the second position, the first plurality of openings are aligned with respective receptacles of the plurality of receptacles so that pills can pass through the first plurality of openings and into the receptacles. A retaining plate retains the slide plate against the body. The retaining plate defines a slot, and the slide plate has a tab that extends through the slot and permits articulation of the slide plate.
DEVICE FOR PRESSING OBJECTS FROM BLISTER PACKS
A device (1) for use with a battery carrier (10) defining at least one sealed compartment (12) in which a product (14) is located and which is at least partly formed of a frangible material (20), the device (1) having a support for supporting the carrier (10) with the compartment (12) aligned with an aperture (8) in the support, and an engaging device for engaging with the compartment (12) whereby to break the frangible material (20) and displace the product (14) from the compartment (12) through the aperture (8). The support and the engaging device are normally spaced apart but are relatively movable to effect product (14) displacement, the support including at least one prong (15, 16) arranged in the aperture (8) in order to break the frangible material (20) when the engaging device displaces the product (14).
CHILD RESISTANT AND AIRTIGHT CONTAINER
Disclosed herein are modular container systems having child-resistant containers, tray inserts and tray frames. Also disclosed are methods using the modular container systems and methods of storing substances in containers. The containers have a container base and a container cap and provide for child-resistant containers. A user can releasably remove the container cap from container base with a squeeze and lift sequence. For example, the user squeezes opposite sides of the container base, which releases a locking mechanism and allows for removal of the cap by lifting or pulling the container cap off from the container base. The components of the modular container system are modular and stackable. The modular system allow for organized, efficient, accessible and storage of the child-resistant containers. The modular container system also allows for easy counting, sorting and processing of the containers.
Pill container assembly with outer sleeve
The present disclosure relates to a container assembly including a multi-chamber container that fits within a protective outer sleeve. The container includes covers for allowing the chambers to be individually accessed. The container includes an integrated retention arrangement that allows the container to be secured within the outer sleeve in a manner in which unintended longitudinal movement between the outer sleeve and the container is prevented.
Systems and methods for dispensing medications based on proximity to an electronic medication storage cabinet
A method includes providing, on a computing device, when a user of the device is authorized, a user interface including respective representations of first medication administration functions and second medication administration functions associated with storage of the one or more medications and, in response to determining that the computing device is within the first predetermined area, enabling the computing device to perform the one or more first medication administration functions associated with the first predetermined area to cause, responsive to a selection of a displayed representation of the one or more first medication administration functions, a respective electronic medication storage cabinet associated with the selected displayed representation to perform an operation regarding a physical storage of a medication associated with a patient of the one or more patients, and preventing the computing device from performing the one or more second medication administration functions not associated with the first predetermined area.
